joemen1: i didn't do that because i had the idea that they would based their decission on the amount in my account, if i stated and i will be refused. In that case, if you state now that you are married, you would be given the 10 years ban for stating that you were single in your previous application, that was deception, you know |
Olucheye: @vicjustice please I need your help sir, it's some what confidential and would like if you could send me a number where I could reach you to my email. mkdvd58 @ yahoo . com.I checked your profile and saw that there is no name, address, date of birth or even photo displayed on it: therefore, with the absence of these, I am of the opinion that whatever you write here (on Nairaland) is confidential as no one knows your true identity. |
kazzy78: Justwise how long does the uk boarder agent holds immigrant fingerprint on their database.Apparently, there is no official time frame or period that the authorities keep such records, yet, there are various unreliable speculations with some saying 10 years. But I believe that in this era of terror phenomenon, they can hold such records for as long as it take |
joemen1: please i need your advice if i can apply early next year in February 2013,with the same person sending me an invitation as he did for my last last application which was also refused just last month and also if i can add up my marriage certificate as i didn't added that up in my last application to prove that i have a family ties in my country and also i have a son if i can state that in my next application. As long as the purposes of your previous refusal(s) are not related to the person that invited you, i see no reason why you shouldn't use the same person. So, if the person sending you the invitation remains in good standing, then it would make sense to have him/her invite you again; this would lay emphasis on the validity of your purpose of visit. I am actually surprised that you did not include your marriage certificate in your previous application, or does it mean that you did not state that you are married? You were supposed to provide your marriage certificate if you are married, and also to enter the names of your child/ren in the application form: but how did you by-pass that? |
joemen1: CAN APPLY NEXT YEAR AS EARLY AS FEBRUARY 2013,WITH ANOTHER INVITATION FROM THE FAMILY FRIEND THAT SENT TO INVITATION I USED IN APPLYING FOR THE LAST APPLICATION THAT WAS REFUSED JUST LAST MONTH.SO I WANT YOUR ADVICE IF IT IS ADVISABLE TO APPLY THAT EARLY WITH THE SAME PERSON INVITING ME ONCE AGAIN AND ALSO CAN ADD UP MY MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE TO PROVE I HAVE STRONGER FAMILY TIES IN GHANA AS I REFUSE TO SHOW THAT IN MY PREVIOUS APPLICATION?Apart from your writing in all CAPITAL, there is not a single element of courtesy in your posts. Your writings are like a person giving instructions rather than seeking opinions. |
LORETA: Please can someone help, the place of birth in my international passport carries benin city, while the place of birth in my birth certificate indicate lagos.does this affect my applicatin for a visaYES, that is a problem, get it sorted before applying for a visa otherwise, that may be a good reason for refusal |
Sorry, i should ask Vcjustice , is it a requirement from the French Embassy in Nigeria that an applicant must purchase a traveling return ticket and submit it along with his/her application at the vfs application center. Is it compulsory now? Or it was compulsory before in 2010, and we are in 2012 now. ?
It is not a requirement. Some time ago, it was possible to book a flight itinerary without paying for it, and then use it in visa application. But now-a-days, no Airline Company allows that and, they do not even allow a booking to exceed 24 hours without paying for it: and most economy class tickets are non-refundable. Visa Officers know this and therefore, it is not logical for them to require a flight ticket of you when they are not sure that your visa will be approved: It would be a tragedy to pay a non-refundable (lets say) N200.000 for a flight ticket and then to be refused the visa to travel |
joemen1: ALL MY DOCUMENTS WERE NOT FAKE IN MY PREVIOUS AND CURRENT REFUSED APPLICATION,SO COULD IT BE THAT I AM UNDER A BAND AS I HAVE BEEN REFUSE FOR THE THIRD TIME?To be refused a visa multiple times does not necessarily mean that you are under the ban, it could just mean that your application was either badly presented or that you lacked what it takes to qualify for the visa. I like to suggest that you post the contents of the refusal letters so we may see and advice you accordingly. Cheers |
claycares: Hey peeps,It is not because you were "bold and confident" that your visa was approved, but because, every other thing (that supports your application) was in the right form or shape. Congrats, and thanks for sharing. |
geeez: Well I arrived the UK yesterday and I'm currently at my cousin's with my son. The UK border force didn't really stress me. Less than six questions. No mention was made of why I didn't use the visa all these while. She just asked what I do, when last I saw my cousin (asked me twice at separate intervals), what my cousin does in the UK, how long I'll be staying and then she took our thumb and index fingerprints and let us through. No one said it is not possible for you to gain admission into the UK, everyone was merely telling you the possibility of being denied entry (and it was high). The Immigration officer must have had respect for the calibre of your personality, she wouldn't have let you in if she didn't see credibility in you. |
joemen1: hello, i applied for visitors visa to the uk for 3weeks in which and invitation letter, bills and back statement was sent by a family friend who is a british and i supported with a letter from my employer, a copy of my bank statement with an amount 6,000gh,payslip,copy of my building plan and letter from my lawyers stating that my salary doesn't pass through the statment given and also the application i am making is independent , as i have been refused twice and the decision were made on the bases that i don't have much fund in my accounts and also i don't not have stronger family ties, but i was still refused just last month on that bases that the entry clearance officer stated that"YOU HAVE STATED THAT YOUR EMPLOYED AS THE GM FOR PEACE SEEKERS INTERNATIONAL WITH A MONTHLY INCOME OF 1,500GHS(500POUNDS AT THE CURRENT EXCHANGE RATE 1POUND=3GHS).OF THIS AMOUNT 500GH IS SPENT ON LIVING COST,LEAVING YOU A MONTHLY DISPOSAL INCOME OF 1,000GHS(333POUNDS).YOU STATED THAT YOU ARE MEETING THE COST OF THIS VISIT TO THE UNITED KINGDOM PERSONALLY AND HAVE 1,000POUNDS AVAILABLE TO YOU FOR THIS.AS EVIDENCE OF YOUR ABILITY TO MEET THESE COSTS YOU HAVE PRODUCED A STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT FROM THE AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT BANK WITH AN OPENING BALANCE OF 1,989(663 POUNDS) AND A CLOSING BALANCE OF 6,166GHS(2,055POUNDS).THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF YOUR SALARY PAYMENTS INTO THIS ACCOUNT OVER THE PERIOD AND ALL PAYMENT ARE IN CASH DEPOSITS.YOU HAVE NOT PROVIDED SATIFACTORY EVIDENCE OF INCOME,SAVINGS AND YOUR PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES IN GHANA.I HAVE ALSO NOTED THAT YOU HAVE NOT INDICATED ANYONE BEING RELIANT ON YOU.IN VIEW OF THIS,I CONSIDER THAT YOU HAVE FAIL TO DEMONSTRATE THAT YOU HAVE ANY YOU HAVE SUFFICIENT TIES TO GHANA AND GIVEN YOUR PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES, I AM NOT SAATIFIED THAT YOUR GENUINELY SEEKING ENTRY AS A VISITOR OR THAT INTEND TO LEAVE THE UK AT THE END OF THE PERIOD OF THE VISIT.I AM THERE FOR SATISFIED THAT YOU MEET THE REQUIREMENT OF PARAGRAPH 41(I) AND THE (II) OF THE UK IMM. AND ASYLUM ACT 2002(www.legislation.gov.uk).i want the idea of this house if i can appeal or have to reapply early next year, what are my chances and what should i present next timeThe reason(s) that you were refused the visa is addressed on the thread in this link: https://www.nairaland.com/967110/main-reasons-many-refused-visas Please, refer to it and if you have further queries, feel free to ask |
Thorpe coal: Ʈƕǎƞƙz vicjustice, yes fully approved by τ̣̣ђ€ government. She's been working Fø̲̣̣я̅ a private coy, Aπϑ she's being paid in cash. But she have enough funds τ̅☺ cover her trips. Why is it so that many Nigerians find it difficult to admit their own difficulties, why are so many people making inquiries for their non-existing "friends", what forbids the "friends" from asking their own questions themselves. Com'on people... Well, take a look at this link and understand why your friend's bank statement might not meet the requirement: https://www.nairaland.com/967110/main-reasons-many-refused-visas |
Thorpe coal: Greetings τ̅☺ d honourable members of nairaland Aπϑ especially people on this forum. Ɣøμ̥ guys have been so wonderful solving people's problems, ɪ̣̝̇ do hope mine won't be difficult also.1: November 16 is six weeks from now, there is still time. 2: Visit/Tourist visa 4: Is the "Microfinance Bank" internationally recognised and approved by the government? |
diamond30: Hello justwise, i was refused visiting visa to UK base on the fact that the ECO said i do not have prove that i have fiance available to me for my trip, on the application i included my salary slip, my business evidence appointment letter etc, they claim that i have more money in my account than what i receive as salary, i told them i do business aside my job, i stay with my family therefor i don't pay for rent. what do i do, i was refuse visa 2month ago, when do u think i can reapply. another problem is my salary is been paid by hand not bank.since then i normally deposit my salary into my account this is the second month and i intend to do it for 3 month, do you think it ok? please advice.secondly since August i started paying my salary into my account minus 10k, will that affect the visa if am to reapply cos it different from what is on my pay slip. i intend doing this for 3month and October will make it 3month.this month i paid the complete month, just that of last month. please advice. The reason that you were refused the visa is addressed on the thread in this link: https://www.nairaland.com/967110/main-reasons-many-refused-visas Please, refer to it and if you have further queries, feel free to ask |
ayobj: There are many airlines that fly into the UK without getting to heathrow!!!!Well, I don't think it will make a difference, it is very reasonable and logical for Immigration Officers to refuse entry to someone for this reason: i know guys who were refused entry because they had few days left on their visas hence I said except you are an eminent dignitary, there is a very high chance that you will not be allowed into the UK with a visa that has 8 days left to expiration and you have financial issue in addition: It would take only a miracle for an Immigration Officer to find it credible that you intend to leave the UK before your visa expires |
geeez: Good morningThings are easier when done orderly. Of what use is your query since you've already made up your mind and have purchased your ticket. Well, had you asked earlier, i would have suggested against your travel because, (except you are an eminent dignitary) there is a very high chance that you will not be allowed into the UK with a visa that has 8 days left to expiration and you have financial issue in addition: It would take only a miracle for an Immigration Officer to find it credible that you intend to leave the UK before your visa expires. |
Pmama: @ Vicjustice and other gurus, my hubby and I plan to apply for a UK tourist visa next month, should we fill two seperate forms or will one form do. in the form there is a place you are asked if you'll be travelling with any one, if I fill my hubby's information there will that do, or I'll need to download a seperate form for him.Remember that there are some information and data pertaining your husband which are entirely different from yours; such info include Mother's Maiden Name, Parents Dates/Places Of Birth, Travel History etc. And as an application form only provides these fields for one applicant, each of you have to fill separate forms even though you are required to enter each other's details in your individual forms |
tsanusi47: I av bn denied of uk visa b4,nau I'm thinkin of USA or CANADA nd I really want to make it happned b4 d year goes to an end how do I go abt it pls dat won't giv me stress nd spend mch? pls..........helpp a frnd.Well, you were not "denied" the visa, you were REFUSED it. To be denied is to be robbed or cheated of your entitlements etc: but in your case, it is clear that you intend to migrate with a Visit visa hence the REFUSAL |
drekid: VicJusticeI'm not in the UK, but in Ireland: and here, only a citizen or a long term/permanent residence permit holder can invite you |
justwise: Apply for business visiting visa http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/visiting/business/business-activities/I thought he said his company is sending him to study... But, there is no such option in Visa Type, he first has to chose the "Type Of Visa" before selecting the Purpose Of Application and then, the "Type Of Application": only then can he chose Business Visit So, i recommend he chooses Visit These are the categories available for "Type Of Visa" Exempt Other Settlement Study Transit Visit Work |
tee2faith: Justwise, Vicjustice and all, please can anybody help me out with some information, I am a civil servant with a virgin passport and I am being sent for a one week training in London in the second week of November with the government taking care of all the expenses. I want to know the type of Visa I ought to apply for as I became confused after visiting their website and also, does anyone know how long it takes to get the UK visa processed in view of the fact that the training is quite close and also a list of documents that I need for the processing will be appreciated. Thanks in advanceWhat are the category options that are available to you in the application form? Well, the closest category is STUDY, so, take that. |
Hakim27: I need a kidney and i want to know if they will grant him visa to give me one of his kid since mine have failed..Sure, he would be given a visa on medical ground if he meets the requirements and have good reason to return to Nigeria |

Bube43: My gd friend is about going to visit sierra Leone, he is asking any idea of how to go nd what it may cost him as a Nigerian, thks pls anybody with gd information should pls help outSome people like you would consider Nairaland boring because your questions aren't answered... But you have asked a very vast and unreasonable question that may be frowned upon. Why not make sense out of it by being precise on points rather than ask such a broad question in such phrases and lazy writings? |
Mazrah: Would appreciate information of how one can appeal on a UK visa refusal based on lack of thorough verification on the part of the Border agency themselves. They claimed the school I got admission from is not accredited. But the school verified their claim from the home office and also sent a copy of their accreditation certificate to show them. Any valuable ideas would be most welcomed.Check the refusal letter that was handed you, it contains the rights and options that are available for you and also the guidelines to appeal or even administrative review, and if you have further questions after doing that, then ask here. |
philipin7: Pls all i can remember is that either vicjustice or Justwise promised to give me a list of all the documents i need when i am ready (he told me this thru email). It's not easy mixing work with visa preparations. If you cannot give me the information again, that's fine with me. I will just read through the thread. That wasn't me, i never received any email from you... Well, you can get the info here: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/partners-families/citizens-settled/spouse-cp/documents/ Note: Whilst in the page, you'd need to click on the clickable words or phrases (they are links to get more details). Please, feel free to return to Nairaland and ask any question that you feel has not yet been resolved, or even share your own concerns or thoughts as these are what the forum is about. |
justwise: Don't be offended by this but........how many times will we answer this question? We have given you answer to this question more than 3times before, you have asked these questions over and over before and each time you have been given an answer....this is not fair....i mean..To be honest, i didn't know how to put it as i don't want to be considered offensive. Well said, JW |
luff: Many thanks, but still need some clarifications.I honestly did not know his address then, thus,I couldn't fill yes(so I thought).he has now invited me for a 10day holiday.he has sent the following:original invitation letter, biodata page of his passport confirming he is a british citizen, tenancy agreement of his 2bedroom apartment.utility bills,6months payslips,p60 end of year certificate, tax clearance.he stated in the letter he will accomodate and feed me for the duration of my stay.I will pay for my cost of travel, and I have submitted the letter of appointment and leave letter from work also showing permission to travel, salary bank statement with more than enough funds for my ticket.6 months payslips.do. I stand a chance at all.pls reply,I need helpThe information that you entered in your previous application form will definitely be compared with the ones you entered in your new application form, and you may have to explain the discrepancy. If you claim that you didn't know that your uncle was in the UK, that would mean that your relationship with him is questionable, and if you say that you denied him because you didn't know his address, that would mean that you don't have much of a personal knowledge or relationship with the person that is inviting you: And if the visa officer judges that you deliberately withhold that information and that you gave a misinformation in an attempt of deception, that may result in a ban. If i were you, i wouldn't state that i have an uncle in the UK... just now especially immediately after the refusal of an application in which i denied him. It doesn't look too good, i hope some other guys help you out with advice on how to get this sorted. |
luff: Hello guys,I need help.I wanted to travel to the uk last year as a tourist but was refused on account of lump sum in my acct.in the section on do you have relatives in the uk,I said no because I did not know the address of my uncle.now,he has invited me to the uk,we bear same surname(my fathers younger brother).he is a british citizen, has sent original documents like tenancy agreement, payslips, utility bills.I am working, and I have also sent leave letter and bank statements.my question is:do I stand a chance.hope I won't be penalised for lying or witholding relevant information since I initially said I had no relatives in the uk.pls replyIt depends on the gravity of the information or misinformation; it could be seen as a mere false declaration in ignorant mindset, or it could be seen as a serious misinformation with deliberate attempt of deception: it depends on the discretion of the visa officer |
philipin7: so does it mean i have to renew and i intend applying for visa in December. By that time my passport has just 5 months validity. Pls vicjustice advice on what to do.Would you be applying for a visa with a passport that does not meet the requirement? If so, you do not need to bother about other issues because your (other) documents will not even be looked into before they refuse your visa application |
