The problem is that there is a mistake in my Date of Birth on my WAEC Certificate, instead of 13 May 1985 what is there is 13 May 1986. I have a court affidavit already but i want to know if that is enough, because i am applying for visa in the first week of October against my January start date. Please help

First of all, is it impossible for the WAEC authority to rectify the error? Well, it will not pose a problem to your application especially as you have acknowledged it and have brought it to their attention. The embassy may observe the discrepancy, but then they will consider the effort you made to correct it, therefore, you should be fine: it is a different story if the discrepancy is an attempt of deception. Besides, it is just the YEAR that doesn't add up, it would have been a more serious issue if both the DAY and the MONTH are also wrong.
So, except there are other reasons to refuse your application, this WAEC issue may never come up. If it is possible to have it corrected, then do that, but if not, then submit it (as it is) and don't worry about it: only be prepared to give explanation should they ask you "WHY"

It depends, you can travel to, and enter Nigeria with it, but you are not allowed to travel out with it

You should have written this in clearer English and standard spellings.
Did you mean that you withdrew 900 thousand Naira on the Tuesday (that is, the second working day) after submitting your application?
If so, there is a potential problem with the application if they find out. But there is a (slim) chance that they will not investigate especially if your bank account statement shows your incomes and credible build up of fund during the last 6 months.
You have withdrawn 900k out of N2.250m Naira, and that leaves the account with N1.350m (which is good enough). Now, the problem is not the balance, the issue is: WHY?, and the Visa Officer may see this as an attempt of deception, which is not looking good.
Now, there are two things: If they find out, you will definitely be refused, but there is chance that they might not if your bank statement meets the requirement as explained.

Yes, they may contact you in approximately 2 weeks after your appeal application, but that is to let you know of your hearing date which is usually several months from the day that you are notified

First of all, under-mind the official amount because, you may never get a passport if you don't pay more money than is officially required.
Doing a passport in Nigeria would cost you anything between 12k to 25k depending on location and who you consult: and you can get the passport within a few hours...

Your daughter (with her name endorsed in your Nigerian passport) does not need a Nigerian visa to enter into Nigeria, she would only be required to obtain a Nigerian visa if she is travelling with her US passport: but if she is travelling with you in your Nigerian passport which carries her names, she can travel into the country without a visa. But you won't be allowed to fly out of the country with the same passport, you are required to obtain the E-Passport in order to leave Nigeria. This is how it works

She doesn't need invitation letter from everyone that she intend to visit, but she definitely needs invitation letter from the person who is inviting her and is accepting responsibility over her

Whatever she can include to support her application is fine, but they are not necessary since she is an elderly applicant, therefore, her responsibilities are required of her sponsor

He only just stated that when he was applying for his own visa. They have been dating for over six years. she's going as a tourist. Like I said he is willing to support her financially and even put in his passport page along with a letter of introduction. Just want to know if saying they are relatives will give her a better chance of getting the visa especially since their surname differ.

Well, to be honest, unless you are a dependant Minor and you are travelling with your parent or guardian, it is not logical for Visa Officers to grant TOURIST VISA to an applicant who can not support him/herself.
You need to have the financial capability in order to fulfil the requirement for Tourist Visa

lafad11: @Vicjustice, my elder brother is not sponsoring my wife. I am sponsoring my wife. He (my brother) just invited them coupled wit accomodation and feeding. I made a provision for a certain amount of money for my wife and kid. So all he's just doing is accomodating and feeding.
The mistake on d ECO's part is he said my wife didn't show any Proof of relationship with her brother. He his my brother not her brother.

Your brother is a brother in-law to your wife, so the ECO wasn't too wrong in expecting that your wife shows proof of relationship especially if they don't bear same surname

I applied for a tourist visa in 2005 with my real name and real date of birth and was refused, a year later 2006 I reapplied with a false name and false documents was denied also but appealed against the decision and was granted a 6 months family visitors visa. I travelled once but on my second trip to the UK I was denied entry and subsequently deported back to Nigeria. I never appealed again. this year 2012 I applied with my original documents and the real situation about me and my wife for a tourist visa for 6 months,but was refused based on my previous false application and subsequent deportation in 2006.please advise me on what to do next.thanks- Michael. Thanks. I applied for a family visit visa for my wife and daughter. I am responsible for them here while my elder brother will be responsible for dem in d uk. I submitted all necessary document and also doc relating to my broda(british citizen). The ECO refused my wife on d basis dat my wife stated dat her sponsor in d uk is her broda and dat she didn't include any proof and also stated dat i didn't include my tax clearance cert which i did. I av d photocopy of the submitted form with me. It's clearly stated there as brother-in-law. And also my tax clearance was also returned with my package. Don't understand wat they think sometimes.

If your elder brother is the one that would be responsible for funding your wife's trip, then i'm afraid it doesn't look good at all; your wife would then need to meet the requirements herself: she must be capable of sponsoring herself among other requirements

beyunce: i need your 2,3,4,5 cents etc.lol.so my friend's boyfriend will be sponsoring her to the uk for as a tourist. hez got 2yrz uk business visa and he is willing to give her his passport page as her sponsor and his bank statement too. but the only thing is that when he was applying for his own visa he applied as a married man and she is trying to figure out what relationship she should say her sponsor is to her. Family relative? or what? although i'm suggesting she say he is her bf, but she is wondering if that will affect their decision with the fact that he is listed as married.

It will be easier if she claims to be his Grand Mother, and that would make it easier for her to get the visa since old women don't abscond while abroad

If the visa sought is time sensitive, why not make a new application?
It may take 6 months or more to hear your appeal even though the outcome can't be guaranteed.
