philipin7: Thanks justwise,It's clearly a requirement that your passport has at least 6 months validity. You don't need to include the "payment schedule", your pay-slip is sufficient |
philipin7: hi Justwise,Considering how i felt you were ungratefully rude to me, i wouldn't have loved to intervene in this, but i have to let it go. Your husband can use a payslip printed from the net, it is also acceptable to use fax or photocopy of such documents; they are not hard documents: only documents that carry security authentications, stamps, seals or signatures would not be accepted if printed faxed or photocopied. |

doofanc: stop being an i.diot. how do you know he is a muslim?ARE YOU NOT WORSE THAN AN IDIOT FOR INSULTING SOMEONE WHO HAS NO BUSINESS WITH YOU? |
kolnel: @ justwise, vicjustice et al;If indeed you presented all these as stated, then why did the Visa Officer say otherwise? Sometimes, it takes the mercy of good mood for visa officer to make a favourable decision to an application. But, it will help if you tell us what actually you submitted and how you submitted or entered them; please, narrate what you did. |
stinicks10: hi vicjustice,Circumstances can change and things change as well. There won't be any problem if you filled-in a different amount since such payments are susceptible to changes, but consistencies may be a problem if it is in reference to your former declaration: but since you are making a fresh application, it won't be a problem, all you have to do is to prepare the reason to explain if asked question regarding the current development |
This is the Nigerian white (oops, gold) house. But the president's huge triangular nose... |
That man is evil. It is generally risky to consume animals like Vultures as they themselves consume rotten animal carcases that carry bacteria and germs. Now, his offence is not because he sells vultures, but rather because he deceived the public that he sells chicken, there would have been no offence had he publicly declared that he is a Vulture (meat) seller. It is even more disturbing that this was done by a Hausa man, Muslims are known to be very clean with animal slaughter and consumption hence they would not touch animals that they consider "unclean". But why would any body have the rights to open a food business, why is there no official regulation and control for this trade? |
This thread might sound awkward @ d glimpse of the topic but there is more to just giving it a wave of the hand. I am sharing this because i have been a victim on several occasions which everyone knows that air transportation has a whole lot of merits over the road transportation. For the last two consequtive travelings i had to make by air nw were very nasty experiences due to the incompetence and unprofessionalism of Nigeria's aviation industry. I was to travel from Lagos to Abuja yesterday and my flight was scheduled for 3pm only for my trip to be rescheduled for 4.30pm and later again 6pm. Arriving @ the airport as early as 1pm, we didnt board d plane until 7.30pm only due to claimed operational problem. Even trying to b relieved of a take off soon, it only worsened because we were informed that d plane we were to travel with now has a technical problem. After about another 2hrs, we finally took off and we landed safely. I regreted the journey so much that i had to start making comparism that if i had departed Lagos in the morning by road, i would av gotten to my destination before the time of the aircraft. Please i need you to help make known ur stand on this type of disappointment caused by the airline as to which u would prefer to always travel with.
I did understand what you meant even by reading the title before opening to read your article because, I have experienced all that and have been of the opinion that land travel may be faster (especially by train: I judge from my experience in Europe). It is reasonable to take into consideration the time it takes to drive to the airport (which are usually located away from city centres) The time it takes to be on queues during check-in; The time it takes to pass airport security; And then, waiting for your flight time; Waiting inside the plane for departure; Even on arrival, it takes time to walk to the arrival hall: And yet you need a ride to get to the city centre since airports are usually located outskirts (not Ikeja airport though) It is a shame that Nigeria does not have good land transport system, if not, land transportation would have been much faster and efficient. Delays and cancellations are more common with airlines. |
foal: Attn pls: Vicjustice, justwiseI am positive that you were handed a refusal letter when your visa application was denied, please, read the letter carefully, and if it accords you the rights of appeal, then it will explain to you the process and also, how & where to get the form. Please, refer to this letter to get answers for your queries. |
ochuko eja: please i want to apply for a student visa on monday for my masters. i have everything i need but the addresses on my application letter is different from the address on the bank statement. hope that will not be a problem. and how long will it take for the visa to be ready. school resumes on the 15th of october. thanksIt may be a problem, your address is your secondary identity, hence verification of address is important for identification. Conflicting address is serious enough to cause visa refusal; bear in mind that visa officers always look for difficult reasons to refuse you a visa how much more when you presented an easy one: yet, you may be fine if the visa officer is willing to hear your explanation, but why subject your application to such mercy? |
obigie170: @vicjustice, I was curious after reading ur post! My names are grace philips. I invited my husband to naija with fraudulent employment/payslip,and we got married. Now I wanna migrate and in fear of wether they will go investigate me on that.thanks in anticipation. They will surely want to know whether the documents that you presented are genuine, and if found to be false, you will be banned from entering the US for life. You see, you are going to be applying for settlement visa by virtue of youmarriage to American citizen: this category of application is highly subjected to stringent scrutiny; so, there is extreme possibility that you will be nabbed. But as you have already done your marriage in Nigeria with the fake documents, It will be reasonable for you to avoid presenting such to the US embassy because, they will investigate and get you banned. You neither need to have a job nor to present your bank statement, nor are you required to have obligation or home ties in order to apply for Spouse visa, as your husband is a US citizen, you are exempted from these requirements and your responsibility can be on your husband |
efoshizzle: Hallo House, Vicjustice, what reason can an applicant give for having their nephew or cousin financially sponsor their uk visit? Please, read the original post carefully, and then, you may ask whatever you don't seem to understand. |
nagoma: Southerners and their obsession with the West, the God they worship. What's wrong with having your baby where you are valued and among your own people? You're definitely a Northern Muslim and sound more like a member of the Boko Haram sect: Is western influence a sin? |
otus4me: Well it's not their fault, it's the situation in the country. And by the way, what about those that are in nigeria and with expired visa."The situation in the country"? This doesn't make sense. By the way, who are the people responsible for the situation in the country, is it the woman selling Akara at the Junction or the politicians who travel abroad to deliver their children and can afford to pay $50k? Those who can afford to travel abroad has no justification to complain of the situation of the country |
wishlolia: Thanks Bro for sharing, people should be careful lest they wake up one day and all their money is gone from their bank account, it has happened to lot of people.Unfortunately, that had been the case with some unfortunate people |

It is a known fact that most pregnant women would prefer to give birth to their babies abroad (preferably in the USA or the UK, or other advanced EU countries), and some women with tourist visas had even succeeded in realising this objective: and a lot of such women even got away with hospital or social bills: but little do they know that the bills forever remain pending against their names. Now, it is important to know that most of the women who gave birth to babies in these country often get hunted back with the repercussions as they become long-term or permanently ineligible for Tourist/Visit visa. Be advised that it is a serious violation to conceal pregnancy during visa application (especially when you know that your due date falls on the period that you would be abroad), and it is even more serious to give birth abroad if your visa is not issued on medical ground: and worse still, to deny the awareness. Now, unlike the merciful 10 years ban that may be applicable with the UK, You may never be issued a US visa again: this violation MAY attract a life ban from the USA depending on circumstances and judgement. It is not illegal to apply for a Tourist/Visit visa as a pregnant woman, but it would be a violation if you undisclosed your condition to the Visa officer (for the purpose of giving birth to your baby abroad). So, if you are applying for a Tourist/Visit visa while pregnant and you know that there is a high chance that you will give birth abroad, then, i advice you not to withhold the information from the visa officer because, withholding it and giving birth abroad is a very serious abuse that you may have to regret the rest of your life. Be warned Note: This may not directly apply to pregnant women who hold long term visas, but yet, you are advised to carefully read the terms and conditions of your visa, or make enquiries so you don't be an ignorant violator: Ignorance is not an acceptable excuse |
kennybuda: @Vicjustice, your an expert i hail youThanks, Man! Me too i hail o!! |
Macheus: Well Well Well its been great reading all theYour visa is probably a Tourist/Visit visa and no amount of letter that can make it qualify you for work in the UK |
Hoodrat: Sri lanka and Eritrea sound European to some hooligan and uneducated ward im sure you will get reply soon.Hahaha! Oh, you really do think this a a joke? Opportunity (they say) comes but once, hurry up while visa offers last |
diamond09: Pls can any1 advice, i gave birth in uk with my middle name and didnt pay. I want to corrrect all d wrongs n pay back.wat can i do. Am scared to even renew my visaAbusers like you make things difficult for others, you cause troubles for genuine people |
Hi, the question goes like this,"Have you ever been arrested or convicted for any offense or crime, even though subject of a pardon, amnesty, or other similar action? So, have you ever been arrested for any offense or crime? If yes then explain. What I failed to understand here is if it was for any offense or crime. If a crime was committed and you were wrongly arrested, thick yes and explain but if there was no offense or crime and been simply interrogated by a police then thick NO. and if thought otherwise and asked then explain. Cheer!
What kept you from revealing this details for so long, had you given the complete question, we would have suggested the appropriate answer, but you presented the question in out-of-context phrase and you got that inapplicable answer. Now that you have made it clear, your answer should be NO because, you weren't arrested for any offence nor were you convicted |
Excellentman: Thanks you for ur contribution, Really I'm totally confused right now , If i tick yes, I will be denied, if i tick no I will still be Denied or Ban if they noticed. But right now my problem , I can not verbally Explain details to Consular. I m not given any Arrested Paper. PLEASE HOUSE HELP ME WHAT SHOULD I DO.You are getting it all wrong here, you can not be denied a visa because you happened to be controlled by the Police in your last visit, that can happen to anyone: it is a different story if you were arrested for reason of offence. I myself have been controlled before by police in different countries, but that does not in any way affect my statutory rights or credibility. Not at all. |
You have been brought to the attention of the US police and your finger prints were taken as a record to that even though you were released without charge... Now, the question is: "Have you ever been arrested?" The answer is YES. "Convicted?" NO. "Reason?" You explain. It will be utterly silly to say "NO" when your finger prints were taken: the visa officer may consider you deceptive and get you banned for life. Be warned. |
blasterman: U were a suspected criminal so u need to be careful of ur movements. If you were not taken to court and asked to leave then ur answer is no but if ur were taken to court and pronouced guilty of an offence then u were convicted and ur answer is yes. So ur ans is no unless you not said everythingI will really recommends that people refrain from giving "advice" based on their opinions rather than what they know is in the book. Please, if you are not certain of an answer, then don't give it: what you've just advised him to do is extremely dangerous and will get him a LIFE BAN from the USA |
stinicks10: Thanks for responding, the reason for my question is to know. The proper way to. Answer the question "what will you do in the uk" cos one of the reason I was refused was that I didn't state what I will be doing in the UK.Are you going to the UK and you don't know what you'd be doing there? Well, you need to make a research on areas of interest and to set up a schedule of activities since you'd also be asked what you intend to do in your spare time. Use www.google.com and learn more about the UK because, Buckingham Palace is not enough place to see during your entire visit |
stinicks10: Hello justwise, vicjustice,Are you really sure that you are required to provide an itinerary? I'm asking this because, it is not a necessity for a visitor visa application. It used to be a prerequisite for tourists visa applicants that are unable to show sufficient funds to cover an individual journey: in those days, it was possible to book economy class tickets (that would be valid even for 4 weeks) without paying nor depositing money for it, but now-a-days, no Airline allows a booking to be unpaid for for more than 72 hours and some even don't allow more than 24 hours |
yasuleiman: Goodmorning NLIt is allowed to do both ie, to make a fresh application while administrative review is pending on previous application. But you could have explained the reason for that refusal so you may get appropriate advice and suggestions |
gonon: Hello guys, please i have i problem. I have an unconditional admission to study in the UK, the problem is that the year in my WAEC Certificate is wrong...ie, instead of 13 May 1985 what is there is 13 May 1986. I want to know if i can use a court affidavit, which i already have, that states the correct date. Please help me out....First of all, is it impossible for the WAEC authority to rectify the error? Well, it will not pose a problem to your application especially as you have acknowledged it and have brought it to their attention. The embassy may observe the discrepancy, but then they will consider the effort you made to correct it, therefore, you should be fine: it is is a different story if the discrepancy is an attempt of deception. Besides, it is just the YEAR that doesn't add up, it would have been a more serious issue if both the DAY and the MONTH are also wrong. So, except there are other reasons to refuse your application, this WAEC issue may never come up.Submit it (as it is) and don't worry about it: only be prepared to give explanation should they ask you "WHY" |
