pla Eddygourdo: bros for peace and tranquillity, every party in this melee must be pacified and a middle ground sought. To secced or create nation now or implement true federalism in Nigeria without preparation will render many states even in the SE uneconomically viable. So this development also affects the SE and not just the north what you have to understand is that the world is not a place where we caress everyone to exist. they have been existing before the oil boom, so they should exist after it. afterall, the lands that are degraded are people's land. |

dialfa: Please stop this yoruba nonsense propaganda. Where did you see disunity in Igboland? This is not propaganda, when you check what is happening in our land, we have not achieved one single feat with our collective effort. look at the political party that was meant to be an igbo party, it has been destroyed and only have root in anambra state. this goes to show how igbos love going outside to beg others to be their friends. the igbo man went to pdp, they have abandoned pdp for igbo people. no singular motive from the igbos. the artificial boundary is really causing havoc to our existence and it needs to stop. we love going solo and it is bad. |

EUROBOMBER: Stop deceiving yorself. We are yet to secure the kind of unity we need in Igboland.
Look at the Yorubas have opened a single thread for Yoruba common wealth but what have Igbos done? One threas is Enugu the pride of the east, another thread is Anambra state light of the nation. Instead of us to be looking at regional integration our people still see themselves as Anambra, Imo, Enugu, etc. What a shame.
You need to see the bitterness between Anambra and Imo people when they fight here. See the shame being displayed by Chino and Customized. I smh. I am currrently doing a research on this subject matter and i will write something about it soon. this disunity of igbos got to stop |

Eddygourdo: of course the cocoa fields were exploited too, don't you feel one must give back to these same people from the proceeds of oil at least to please them the monies, development and employment their people have been getting is enough for them. this is a pure act of laziness in their part. let the work hard to harness their potentials. nothing good comes easy. |
Politics › Re: Mature Igbo Minds.. ..... Let's Mingle by VickJames(m): 6:40pm On Nov 24, 2015 |
Eddygourdo: not so, it is unfair to the north to not develop them for sustainability knowing that revenues from the north funded the exploration and development of the oil. Every region must be developed with the oil as it's Nigerians property today, after we have set the foundations we call for a national conference to discuss true federalism, I tell you that most will embrace it, and if any region seeks seccesion, such should be allowed to go, it's an amicable and equitable solution in our quest to either true federalism or seccesion the north have received more than enough proceeds from the south south and they should have thought about it before now. moreover, money was also gotten from different parts of the country to spare-head this project and not just the north. |
Politics › Re: Mature Igbo Minds.. ..... Let's Mingle by VickJames(m): 3:42pm On Nov 24, 2015 |
Eddygourdo: that is why I said, true federalism cannot be implemented yet. We must invest in other regions albeit with the oyel money to make the sustainable, once that is achieved, regions van decide to come together as a federation or we all go our ways, to agitate for federalism or seccesion today without the above done will never be accepted by the north who are mostly parasitic on the nations economy thanks to their lack of interest in agriculture and avarice to oyel money do you think your suggestion is wise? if the south south oil is used to develop other region to the state of sustainability, then when regional federalism comes, the south south government will be shareholders in the IGR of the different regions that they developed to sustainability. |

I come with a strong word of greeting to all my brothers in the southsouth geopolitical zone. it has been my cry since the day I started reading about my people about the evil thing they did to us because of the different travails we faced in the 20th century. It was matter of time before we igbos lose our identity and become sedentary animals in this country called Nigeria. Our strength in this country cannot be rivaled but they shrunk our balls in a way that we beg to become anything we ought to become in this country.
I need the unity of igbos to be strong because in the coming years, many things will happen in this country that will make us fight for what is ours and we can only win if we stick to one another in the time of distress. it is important we dont take this advice as another "one of those things". we should take our unity as our major priority and job and never to lose touch of it in anyway.
i believe in my tribe, igbo and my loyalty remain with us. |

IPOB should stop acting stupid and not know the consequence of benin republic invading a sovereign nation like nigeria. it is very important we should look at the long term implication of their actions and call them to order because it is a crazy attempt at disintegrating this nation.
If we want secession, then fine but not be happy at every bad thing that happens in this country. it will shock you to hear that many igbo businessmen import goods through this region. I know what i am talking about. |

i know it is not easy to stop erosion because of our kind of soil but there are measures that will work fast and better but its cost intensive.
We need canals in anambra state. and the engineers should trace the topography of the state and relocate the direction of flow to lowlands canals that will just empty into a river.
planting of trees close to every house should be a must.
let engineers do land survey of the whole state, so that these water will be running to the lowlands and not cause problems.
when building new roads, these roads should have foundation and padded. it is important like the case of nkpor. the road should have used pad foundation to protect it from that damage from there.
erosion problem should remain in the 90's. we are much more educated than that now. |

Just because you lots are everywhere doesn't mean you should start laying claim to what's not yours.
There is a huge difference between State of Origin and State where you were born.
Do a research your great grandparents were migrants in Rivers State.
For instance I am originally from Edo State, just because I didn't grow up there or know much about my State doesn't mean I should forget that's were my family came from.
Its a simple logic so use your brain please. so, the people who are originally from those local government in rivers state are not igbos. why do they speak igbo? in a bid to make a point, always try as much as possible to make correct statements |

Truckpusher: The distance between the South South and the South East is a non factor here as long as the highlands acts as drainage breaks for the natural flow of River Niger.
There is no spalsh flow that affects the River Niger hence you'd be experiencing flood and flash flood every rainy season and there is no natural obstacle such as moutains and other natural blockage along the rain forest and deltas that exists between the Eastern highlands and the Eastern seaboard to the bight of Bonny down to the wetlands of the Niger Delta - It is a go-go free flow all the way to the Altantic Ocean.
Finally, the osmotic gradient is a negligible factor since the Niger Delta experiences constant rainfall and the wetlands due to the proximity to the Atlantic Ocean WHICH constantly pushes more water into the environment thereby returning back by permeating through the soil to the highlands during drier seasons and all seasons.
N/B: I wasn't talking about oil spills but the long time effect of oil spills, oil exploartion and exploitation as it affects the natural order of the environment - Oil spill is temporary and can be cleaned up but when the diffused effluents sinks where does it flow to ? where is her final resting place - This is the crux of the matter bro.
God does not sleep. brother, you might have spoken some big grammar up there but the truth is, it doesnt apply like that. the south east is like an upland to the south south. hope you know that? when rain falls, the washes the surface down to the lowland not the upland bro. thats number one. number two, the osmotic movement to the south east will take a very long time and by then, your region will have been so saturated with crude that an elephant grass will have pale flowers. yes, the osmotic gradient is very paramount because thats the only reason why flow will occur. so it is very important in this regard. since most of the oil wells in the south south region are basically on or close to the sea, then, splash flow will occur because the tidal wave will still bring the crude onshore. this crude that will flow onshore will sip through the layers of the soil into your water table and one senator in your district will dig borehole and see that the water is tasting somehow. the pawpaw and banana is your region will start growing dwarf. the children in those region will start growing pale skin because the water they're drinking will be contaminated with non-biodegradable waste called crude. it is a tough struggle bro, it is difficult. moreover, do you know that the sea is coming up, get ready. |
