This movie totally caught me by surprise.

It initially played out like it was an attempt to make an innocent man look like he is mad simply to get him out of the way.

But it was not so simple, it turns out that he was mad and attempts were being made to get him to accept his madness and reintegrate into society.

His inability to accept the act he committed led to his retreat from reality.

The events in the film were a last attempt to cure him or else they would have to lobomotize him.

I found the film really absorbing and the acting excellent.

The scene with his wife and kids is one of the most harrowing scenes I have ever seen in a movie, i dare anyone not to be moved by that scene.

For me this is a solid 8/10

4llerbuntu:
good for you that you find his statement and perhaps the article funny. cos i bloody well dont!!

this PHW dunce is perhaps the worst of the issues this club has,

sometime ago whilst we was still at highbury, on the day some launch thingy was going on at the emirates i saw an interview of this mumu on CNN where he practically worshipped Arsene. the mumu was actually foolish enough to say it publicly that the stadium was due to arsene's insistence and dedication, how he and the board had wanted to back out when they had funding issues but wenger and david dein sourced the funding.
how the stadium was wenger's idea and all that, the club was indebted to him bla bla bla.

i have never heard any club chairman worth his salt actually make a fool out of himself in such a silly manner, that practically amounted to an admission that wenger was in charge and was doing his own job to boot

just read the highlighted portions of the article ritchboy referred to

ok so first, i should be grateful for supporting arsenal in the period where the club cannot win anything?

and he is surprised that people are saying arsenal has not won anything in the last five years, since when did winning or not winning not a function of facts? of is there some trophy he won that we dont know about?

and the most galling one was the comparison with liverpool and manchester, isn't it rather a letdown that two clubs who have acually yo yo-ed between the lower reaches and the elite have won more and are more successful than the great arsenal who have not gone down?

and for bleeps sake, liverpool have won something in the last five years no? and for all the jibes about doing a liverpool with all the crisis, they are as bad as they will ever be and by next season will probably be back with a shout of winning a cup competition. Arrow.

whilst not begrudging the fool his view about the club's philosophy, it should not lie in his mouth to be the one publicly manufacturing excuses for the club's failures. that is similar to a parent who is the one who gives excuses for the child's inability to pass an exam in school!!

even though he may be well aware of various factors affecting that event, it does not lie in his mouth to be the one producing excuses. this dunce should be the one lighting a fire under everyone else to try succeed even with the limitations present.

see why blaming wenger at times sef is a bit unfair, the complacency and laissez faire attitude of the board towards success other than financial sef is unfortunate.

can you imagine franz beckenbauer or massimo morratti giving this kinda of statements?

and as for the russian jibe, i truly hope and pray david dein gets the chance to kick this opprtunist to the kerb soon.

this guy has not engineered a success for this club once ever, always relying on luck and fate, like the type that made him employ a nobody from japanese league to come manage a club. imagine the stroke of luck that the chap turned out to be successful and altruistic.

guess that was what fergie wanted to emulate with BEBE grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
All he is saying is the fact about Wenger's help and vision.

And he is telling the truth about Roman getting hit by a bus, they will be screwed.

He is running his club one way while others have adopted a different approach and I for one support the way he has done it.

Funnily enough now, when the new rules come in, ALL clubs will have to operate like Arsenal, we go see then.

TV/MoviesRe: The Movie Club by Vieira(m): 6:25pm On Jan 23, 2011
It is based on history, but I would not say completely historical.

Millrr wrote his comic as an interpretation, so the main events happened but he added his own jara to it.

Frank Miller is a writer first and foremost and hence should be forgiven for any directing crap.

He directed the Spirit but it is not his original writing hence why it was so bad.
When he writes and others direct then that is gold., he should stop trying to direct as he no get the talent for am.

Films that are based on his writings:

300
Sin City

Inspired by his writing:
Daredevil
Dark Knight returns.

Directed:
The Spirit
TV/MoviesRe: The Movie Club by Vieira(m): 10:18pm On Jan 20, 2011
lol@ This is Naija!!

I must use this.

By the way the film was an adaptation of a comic book written by Frank Miller comic writer of Sin City and the Dark Knight graphic Novels.

His comic was a fictional take on true events.
TV/MoviesRe: The Movie Club by Vieira(m): 10:03pm On Jan 19, 2011
Reviewing this after watching it so long ago my overriding feeling is that the movie was a triumph of style over substance.

The film had some great choreographed battles with lots of gore on show.

Slow mo was used very well.

In terms of acting I really did not think it delivered much apart from Gerard Butler shouting Sparta all the way in Jennifer Aniston's pants.

My main gripe I had from when I watched it first time, was the fact that after showing such great battle skills and tactics, the final fight in which they lost did not show any of that previously portrayed battle acumen.

They just seemed to die like right muppets.

I enjoyed it for what it was and hence it gets a 6/10

The kid part was one of the most disgraceful things to do to Superman.

Superman is the Original boy Scout, the American corn fed kid and Bryan Singer turns him into an absentee baby father with stalking tendencies!

The closest to the book is Daniel Craig

My favourite has always been Roger Moore due to the fact that he was the Bond I knew and grew up with.

Who is the Best?

The only way to answer that question is to ask yourself that if you could choose one of these actors to be in their prime and to take on the role now, who would you want?

My Answer has to be Daniel Craig.

Man City are a negative team and have been for lots of matches.

To be honest I did not think we needed a plan B, plan A was working fine, we had the keeper beat quite a few times but for the bar and posts.

Also Hart a good match.

I must admit I had to laugh when Man City started time wasting in the first half!

Jo was like an extra left back for City and taking off your only striker Tevez to bring on Boateng said it all.

Sagna will only miss one EPL match anyway and a rest is good for him jare.
