All fish have more or less slimy substance on the outer flesh. The slime is part of a fish's mechanical defense mechanism against minor injuries and pathogenic organisms.

However, Catfish are very popular fish with a slimy flaky flesh, since they are smooth on the outer flesh with no scales, they are naturally covered with a thick slimy layer, which needs to be pulled out or scraped before boiling, smoking or cooking the fish.
The slime can be removed using different tools or by following some simple methods. here is how to clean Catfish slime in this video

FoodHow Prepare Delicious Editan Soup (calabar Vegetable Soup) by vinegurl(op): 4:37pm On Oct 29, 2017
Editan soup recipe is a Nigerian vegetable-based soup made with editan leaf, water leaves, and assorted meat; editan soup is tasty, rich and it is commonly served with semolina, eba, fufu or with pounded yam.

There is more than one variety of editan leaf with varying degrees of bitterness hence; the best way to wash editan leaves to get rid of the bitter taste is to wash severally until the greenish liquid turns clear just like bitter leaf. However, the fastest way to wash editan is drop a little edible potash in a pot, then add the leaves to it and boil for 5 minutes; by boiling these leaves in potash water, the bitter taste is removed without much waste of time.

Hon please what do you think is the difference between Yoruba and Igbo Jollof Rice, which one sweet pass huh
Sorry, I don't think there is any difference, but Yoruba jollof rice might be a little bit peppery compared to the Igbo's version. Also Igbo jollof rice might contain crayfish and maybe some vegetables; it is just my own observation, but there is no much difference.
