Car TalkRe: Photo: Mercedes Benz Vs Audi by vislabraye(m): 10:46pm On Jul 19, 2015
It's tough but I'll stilk go for Benz. It's a car that has presence. Audi is another sleek and elegant car. May be we should also considerengine performance and other characteristics. In conclusion, I love German cars (whether East or West Germany grin)

Well, I can't say I'm against Buharis visit to USA as long as it would yield positive results. On the other hand, one wonders whether Barak will be courteous enough to repay such visits.

What should be at the mind of Buhari is what does Nigeria stand to gain...

PoliticsRe: $182m Halliburton Scandal: Buhari Orders Preparation Of Case-file by vislabraye(m): 1:58pm On Jul 19, 2015
sunnyb0b0:
By Kingsley Omonobi, Abuja
As President Muhammadu Buhari travels to the United States (US) today to engage President Barack Obama in talks on economic, security, financial and anti-graft issues, it has emerged that he has ordered the preparation of the case-file that would lead to the prosecution of the indicted persons in the $182 million Halliburton bribery scandal.

buhari talkSunday Vanguard gathered that the President’s directive followed the requirement by the US government of evidence to show that Buhari was ready to prosecute the suspects in Nigeria for their roles in the bribery scandal before it could partner other European countries in releasing the $141million dollars allegedly looted from Nigeria and lodged in various overseas banks.

According to top security sources, Buhari, based on the outcome of investigations by the panel set up to look into the scandal, is scheduled to tell Americans officials during this week’s visit that all those indicted, including former Heads of State, a former Vice President, two former Group Managing Directors of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, will face prosecution to defend themselves.

To further convince the US officials that the kangaroo trial that took place during the Jonathan administration, which saw a former Special Assistant on Domestic Affairs to the President being arraigned and then let off the hook following alleged connivance of certain government institutions, will not re-occur, the President will tell them that private legal practitioners, who cannot compromise because of past government patronage, will be commissioned to handle the case.

It will be recalled that the recent directive by Buhari to reopen the Halliburton bribery case led to the discovery that the $26.5 million plea bargain money released by the oil servicing firm as part of efforts to shield the company from prosecution was not in any government account.

there is nothing special about boko haram. Isn't this the same boko haram group that gej almost destroyed within 4 weeks when elections were coming ? According to sources ,buhari is ordered the military to stop all offensive against boko haram and that no attack must be launched without his approval but maintain their positions ,he is seeking a negotiation solution .if buhari had sustained gej military push ,boko haram will have been reduced to bits by now . But he has chosen the gooooooooo sloooooooooow method .
Thank you. They are his brothers whom he wants to come to repentance. But Buhari was quick enough to send fighter pilots to bomb Calabar creeks but he's dragging his feet to fight bh.

Where's Tunde Bakare and Rev. Mbaka ? They need to talk to their president. It surprises me thst they've not said anything yet. Bakare that has been so vocal is now silent.

Even if the whole north is militarized it won't stop boko haram, they are fighting a religious war, jihad, they have a lot of followers, when some communities is in support of a vice, you can't defeat them with arms, the only way is preaching against jihad in the mosques and grass root radio enlightenment of the locals against jihad, that will reduce the number of new recruits, but noting like that is going on ,boko haram continue to recruit using imams and Koran verses to convince the new recruit of Paradise if they die fighting jihad
What we need now is good intelligence and well equipped military. I agree with you that sensitization can go a long way to curb the crisis that's if the religious leaders cooperate. Apart from that we need military and intelligence to silence silence thise bastards angry

I'm sure millions of Nigerians who voted for buhari based on his promise of crushing boko haram in two months will now be regreting doing so.
Just in the news this night, the deputy governor of Born State Zanna Umar Mustapha said Nigeria has in Nigeria a president who's committed to fighting boko haram and providing security to Nigeria.
That's if most are not in the grave by now. huh
No one deserves to die whether Apc or Pdp supporters.

This is getting too much. This is getting out of hands.

The rate at which Boko Haram terminates harmless and defenseless civilian is really putting me into a state of metragrabolised melancholia. It's crystal clear now that the problem is neither APC nor PDP nor PMB nor GEJ but some self-centered animals and idiotic religious fanatics who will do anything to see Nigeria burn to ashes.

If appointing a minister for Borno State Terrorist Attacks will curb this Bombing just like that of Delta, then I think the president should consider it.

It's really disheartening that Borno State has turned to something else, a war zone, a bomb test site. sad
So what's the responsibility of the presidency ? Mind you, the former administration did not have it easy during this crisis. He was cursed and called all kinds of names.
Buhari was voted in mainly because of the security issues. It's so sad that this president has not lifted up a finger to fight the insurgents. He's the true definition of cluelessness and insensitivity. I want to know Rev. Mbakas thinks about this. I'm sure he can't say anything.

This quantum of BH attacks had disappeared in the twilight of GEJ's administration. It's not expected that the attacks should escalate now that we have a war veteran as President, who also seems to have enjoyed the support of blood-thirsty Sharia advocates over the years. Buhari should perform his magics which he & his party used in scamming gullible & undiscerning minds.
Some people really don't know how to reason. If you criticise this government, what you hear is "what did Gej do?" But if you say GEJ was a failure, why compare yourself to him?

Can you see their stupidity ? It has come to a time when you should flog such people. Buhari has made some stupid decisions so far. He has removed road blocks which prevented Bh and he's quarrelling with DSS that should be helping him.
At the moment bh has not recorded any casualty, yet some people are still blaming Gej. If all Buhari does is to complain about past administration, then he's a failure akready. Meanwhile, Rev. Mbaka has been quiet.

Did majority of people in Delta state voted for Buhari? With all due respect, the Cleric should keep his mouth shut and stop the nonsense of speaking on behalf of Nigerians who voted for change.
It doesn't matter whether they voted him or not. Buhari is the president of Nigeria, and as long as he remains president, every Nigerian has the right to criticise him.

Enough of the visits. The victims prefers to be at their homes rather than being visited.

What has Buhari actually done to stop the ever increasing BH attacks under his government?

What happened to the rampaging military offensives before power was handed over to Buhari?

On whose side is Buhari? ... Nigerian people or BH?
Some people will even praise him for visiting the bereaved.

May be buhari is waited for obama to tell him what to do. So far I'm yet to hear about one bh casualty. Anyone who has heard should please inform me. It seems buhari loves his brothers so much and he's waiting for their repentance. After repentance, amnesty follows.
