Is it this letter that will make PMB to bomb his brothers?
Is it this letter that will tell him that about 700 people have died from BH attack since he was inaugurated
Is it this letter that will change his slowbillus or procastination
I repeat again STORY
*modified* how can GEJ read a letter dated 08-07-2015.
APC and BBOG are still campaigning.
The guy below me is still campaigning. A bad manager blames every other person but himself God bless you jare. You even observed well that the letter was dated on the 8th. I'm not surprised that those thick lips is by her side. Propaganda abd hypocrisy at it's best. Meanwhile, suicide bombers have become so violent. |

Bollinger: Irrespective or how you arrive the first couple of months are the hardest and that's when you are most vunerable. For me i was in country legally but had to wait 3 months to get my social security. Without that you'll be working under the table, meaning you will be employed by an employer who pays you cash only. What he pays is far less than minimum wage but there's nothing you can do about it because it is illegal. This is the period you need to limit your association with Nigerians. You have to remember, a lot of us are in country illegally, and all they know is how to hustle. They will try to suck you in but you have to resist.
As per the cultural change and racism, your best bet again is to stay away from Nigerians and Black Americans. Mix with people from Ghana, whites and the likes. You'll get acclamatized faster. It's hard either way and only time will get you through it. I have not witnessed any form of racism personally. You'll eventually find out that it's mostly lazy people who complain about racism. I'm not saying it does not exist, but it's few and far in between. Imagine a scenario where a man goes into a store, steals and runs away. He is chased by the police, told to stop, he resists and starts fighting with the cops. He gets shot and every black person screams RACISM. I ask you; does that make sense to you? My wife's clients are mostly white women. If America was that racist would she have those clients? America cares only about what quality service you can provide irrespective of what race you are. If you cannot be beneficial to society then you might as well pull out the race card.
I always advice people to join the army for at least 3 years immediately they arrive in the states. Your life will be so much better if you do. You will hit the ground running and achieve so much more. Nigerians told me not to, that i will be deployed to iraq and afghanistan and most likely die there. True, that could happen. I could also be crossing the street and be hit by a car the next minute as well. I have been deployed 3 times and nothing happened. Here's what you get as a soldier.
1. Citizenship within six months, while others wait 5 years.
2. 100k, free for educational purposes. This can only be used for college only.
3. In addition to that, while serving you get tuition assistance which means they pay for your schooling in active duty or reserve. Which also means you don't have to use the 100k. I'm transfering the 100k to my wife to finish her masters.
4. They also teach you a trade craft when you join the army. I am a software engineer for the army. I did not know squat about it prior to joining. I did a test which would tell if i was trainable and once that was done i got trained and the rest is history.
5. Once you master one craft, you can apply to switch to another one.
6. Free medical insurance. peace of mind
7. Quality life insurance. If i die for whatever reason; in combat or driving my car, my wife gets an instant 100k 24hrs later. A couple of months later she gets 450k and benefits for the rest of her life. The benefits ends when she re marries. I get 100k if anything happens to her.
8. Opportunity to travel. I cannot mention how many countries i have been to free of charge.
9. Opportunity to lead people. The training and opportunity to lead people is unquantifiable. I have over 50 people i teach, coach, mentor and lead. If America was that racist, i would not have the opportunity.
10. First in line for any federal job (you want this) when i decide to get out.
The only negative i have so far is the lack of access to Nigerian food. Considering all the positive though, i think i can live with that. Wow... . This is very informative. The Op didn't really emphasise on the positives like you just did. But there's an age limit to joining the military, isn't it ? I wished I had this info years ago . Kudo, men. |

bettercreature: It seems PMB is not ready to kill this terrorist just as Jonathan did not want to kil Niger Delta militant,PMB seems like a fraud and we have been screwed,we need to ask him our $21million he paid out of the $100m to those group of african countries because the mission suppose to start on july first and nothing has been heard about it until now People make the mistake of comparing Bh to Niger Delta militants. From the look of things, Buhari is sympathetic towards BH. Niger Delta militants did not bomb churches, they did not bomb mosques, they did not kidnap children, they did not set hospitals or schools on fire. They did not open fire on Christians or moslems. We know the ND militants were fighting a just cause but can you same the same fir bh? Bh is yet to register one casualty since Buhari came to power. He will end up granting them amnesty. Let's wait and see. |

YerYer: Pls don't misquote me, read the entirety of my comment. I never said someone who's "fresh" from Nigeria. Rather I said after earning an associate degree within 2-3yrs or bachelors within 4yrs or less, it all depends on your prior level of education and the course you studied in Nigeria. It is a 'catch-22' you can't sit comfortable at home watching The Kardashian Show and expect to make this kind of money, something has got to give. If you read my comment thoroughly, you will note that I said you must be hardworking and willing to work several overtime hours. Everyone will pave their own path in life, however, if you are a determined Nigerian coming to the U.S with a green card and graduated secondary school or university in Nigeria already, I can direct you towards a career path that will make you a minimum of $200,000 a year if you achieve the following (1) You complete your associate degree in 2yrs. (2) Upon landing a job, you are determined to work several overtime hours. It's like many things in life, if you put in just a little more work or effort you can improve your current situation. Moreover, many employers offer tuition reimbursements for employees trying to further their education in their field of work. While working with your associate, you may decide to go further to earn your bachelors/ masters or masters/doctorate all at the expense of your employer. You need not get stuck in student loan debt like many Nigerians I know. I know of folks who took huge sums of student loans to study accounting or media arts etc but can't find a decent paying job upon graduation. This may not be the case for all, but the point is, you should study a course that's in high demand, make money and then pursue your passion. If u r too passionate for your current field of study, pls stick to it. And u r wrong in saying a vast majority of Nigerians are not 6 figure earners, according to the U.S Census Bureau, Nigerians have the highest number of doctors among all immigrant groups including Indians. Don't underestimate your people. Hmmm...very good contribution. But what from your observation, does same apply to Canada ? What programs do you think pay the 6 figures you're talking about apart from medical profession? |

Bollinger: bro's you are so correct. when i first arrived here the Nigerians kept telling me and my wife was that to be successful you had to drive a cab as a man and be a certified nursing assistant as a woman. I tried that crap and found it was not for me. I had to break away from Nigerians and their set minds and norms. In fact i avoid Nigerians abroad like the plague. They will definitely hold you back. I am very successful in my chosen field and my wife is a well sort after makeup artist. The good thing about america is if you can imagine it, then you can achieve. No matter what it is. They have the enabling environment to make your dreams come true. The OP is saying that paying taxes and paying rent is a negative. What a mentality. So it is better to squat with friends and live with no electricity than actually having it. Nigerians. How did you cope with the cultural change and stuffs like racism ? What are you doing at the moment ? |

yorubadelta: This may be true for some.. what I see Nigerians do when they first arrive is to limit themselves and limit their circle, listening to advise from fellow Nigerians who have been here so long with nothing to show for it.
If that qualified banker rolls with the right people who know what they are doing, he would secure a great job without much struggle.
A very close friend of mine became a senior drug safety scientist within 3yrs of arriving the UK.. dude has a 2.2 in microbiology from Onabisi Onabanjo Uni.. no masters, no previous work experience. It was a lady he met in the industry that put him through how to package his cv to get the job.
So you see it not that Nigerian qualifications is looked down upon here. Hmmm....this is interesting. How did the lady do it for him ? |

If No, then you just committed a defamatory offense punishable under the law. And you'll have your lawyer who adviced you quit the case to thank.

sleekman: This is to bring to your attention the latest extortion and defrauding techniques employed by ladies of low virtue and the police. I recently fell to one of such ladies. She attacked me and went to report at the police station. They cooked up lies and fabricated all manner of charges. The lady claimed I beat her up and stole her gold chain.
Now its especially worse when you have witnesses and no one wants to turn up to bear witness as to what happened. I had to pay her N150,000 on the advice of my lawyer. He advised that going to court will be expensive. N150,000 will be his professional fee to represent me in court. Bail is N120k and I'll need a surety with tax clearance. If I can't produce one then I'll need to hire a professional surety at a cost of N30-50k and then the time wasted.
So I want to advice and inform everyone that the police have a pact with prostitutes to bring them business. If a lady attacks you in broad day light then immediately report to the nearest police station and claim that you had property worth millions or thousands. In so doing you have destroyed her game plan and that of the police. Please share any experience similar to this you might have so that we can all learn from it.
Chai....so sad. It's funny when it happens to others but painful when you are a victim. There's an appropriate thread for you to post your experience. The thread is opened by Redbenson under sexuality session. . I know of a guy who suffered similar fate. There was this girl he had been banging(he used to live with his brother then) for a while. The girl was forming love. This my guy didn't want to tell anyone qbout his affair with her. Even when I meet him, he'll give me one vague excuse and zoom off. About one week later he came to me and said, "John (not my real name) do you know that this babe has raided me ? I said, "how manage?" He said, "one day we went out together to see someone. When we both sat down together and started gisting she suddenly stood up and asked me to lend her my phone that she wants to make a call." So my guy gave her his brand new phone. Oh, I forgot to tell you that she was also with his digital camera that they both used for snapping. So this girl/olosho had his camera and phone while my guy was busy gisting. So he waited for 5 minutes, then 10, then 15 minutes and she wasn't back. So he decided to go back home and low and bellow, the door was already opened. He went to the rooms and what he saw or did not see almost made him faint. Laptops were taken, some Italian shoes for sale and some cash. He didn't know where to start from. He later came to me to ask whether I've seen that girl anywhere. He asked a few people that saw them together. They really did not recognize her. He went to the police but after calling her number, she cut the call and destroyed the sim. Na so e happen. So make guys just dey careful. |

joseph1832: Its all a matter of opinion brother and last I checked, "our opinions are not established facts".
Is it today Boko Haram have been killing people? I wonder why many of you kept mute when GEJ was in Aso Rock only for you to start shouting A B C when PMB took over.
Now Mr man, tell me, during the six years of GEJ, compare the casualty to that of what he have today? At least, Boko Haram haven't launched an all out guerilla warfare. All they do is just suicide bombings and sporadic shooting.
So please Mr man, I ask how can Buhari fight suicide bombers when they don't carry "I am a suicide bomber" written on their foreheads.
I believe a genius like you forgot that months and years can measured in weeks also? We are not comparing Gej and Buhari. If you call Gej a failure, is it an excuse for Buhari to fail? That's my point. We Nigerians have learnt how to settle for mediocrity. If BH continues with this rate of killing, in 4 years time, they would have killed 14,000 people. But the bolded statement makes me laugh. So Buhari has no idea on how to fight suicide bombers . So if BH continues this way, then you can't blame Buhari. Smh. As if during Gejs time there were no suicide bombers. |
