dayo23: Fools!!! Just because Bukola and dogara were sworn in through the backyard style doesn't mean anybody's political career is over. Every comment on this thread is base on hatred for Tinubu, I personally don't like his lifestyle But I respect his ways of politics. Let wait and see what happen next, it is still very early to just conclude his political career is over. Tinubu is the brain box behind the merger, he was the one that influence everything including president elect and thank God Buhari acknowledge that fact during the day he collected the certificate of return. Tinubu has slots in the ministerial appointment and that is something Buhari himself will not temper with beside Tinubu knows how to select Genius and technocrat for political post, he is very good at that. He is hated mostly by the South Easterner because he was the brain behind the elimination of GEJ 2nd term. You can never have it all in politics,it is up and down, some goes well and some doesn't.
Tinubu will bounce back stronger!! Mark my word. Truth is, I wonder why any one will be a fan of Tinubu after all he has done in Lagos state If you understand Tinubu as a person, you will know that he has selfish interest. There was one time he boasted that he put GEJ to power. Havevyou asked why on earth would he work with someone in the opposing party? |

Waspy: And pple don't seem to realize. ..they are busy being consumed by hate for Tinubu ( poking the eyes just to spite the nose). Yes Tinubu isn't the ideal politician nor leader we all crave but then Saraki, with all his political misadventures and scandapades is no better. Our Democracy is young and our pple are so emotionally sentimental that they can't tend it to grow. I wonder if Buhari (and yes Saraki sef )would be there now if Tinubu had not played his first part. I was watching learned persons talk today on Channels TV and I came to the truth that in Politics, the world over, there is no good or/nor bad. Now Saraki is there now and he can choose to go AWOL ( even the pdp that assisted in his emergence of the post can't remove him at their will any longer ) Such two-faced politician has no basic principles nor ideology and will always only graze where the pasture is greener. This is not good for democracy at this stage in this nation Bottom line is that most politicians are selfish people, period. Politics in Nigeria is a game of treachery, betrayal and subterfuge. APC used it very well, and the PDP is doing so. One of the most important things is to break the monopoly of Tinubu. Yes, Tinubu was influential in Buhari's victory and that of Saraki but you don't expect them to be his boy boy. This is not Lagos state. If you are talking about principle, leave politicians out of it most especially Nigerian politicians. |

The G7 invitation was extended to President Buhari, by German Chancellor Angela Merkel even before he was sworn in on May 29th as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
President Buhari and his entourage which includes former Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola and Kashim Shettima -won't take part in the major G7 meeting as Nigeria is not among the G7 countries but will participate in other key side meetings.

otipoju: I dont know why you guys are in a hurry. When someone gives you a dirty car, you first clean it, start it, let it warm for a while before putting it into gear and driving it to your intended destination.
Is it wrong to scan the entire villa to remove all spy gadgets that have been placed there by either local or foreign interests.
Is that not the wise thing to do? Especially when you know you have enemies both internal and external.
As to appointment of Ministers and advisers and new service chiefs?
Is there not a due process that has to be followed? The last I checked , those he intends to appoint have to be screened by the senate who have not yet convened their inaugural sitting. So do you expect Buhari to put the cart before the horse?
He has his list and in order not to heat up the polity or be unduly influenced, he has kept it close to his chest and will present it when the NEW senate sits.
Has Buhari been busy in the past one week?
The answer is a resounding Yes. Those trips to Chad and Niger were not jamborees but strategic moves to discuss concrete plans with allies in order to rid Boko Haram once and for all.
He also met with the current service chiefs who briefed on the existing game plan. He has given them instructions to move the command center to the epicenter of the action itself....signalling to Boko Haram that Nigeria has crossed the Rubicon and there is no retreat no surrender till victory is secured.
Osibanjo has executed tasks delegated to him as the vice and he is doing pretty well , a far departure from the ghost worker we had before in Architect Sambo.
Everything will move into full swing with the appointment of Ministers who will be given their specific job functions and targets and performance apraised. But these can only be after the New senate sits. While Buhari is waiting for a new senate, boko haram is busy bombing. So whose responsibility is it to protect these citizens ? He doesn't need a new sentae to appoint service chiefs. He won the election 2 months earlier and there were no court cases. Therefore h3 had no distraction whatsoever. I want Buhari to be successful in the interest of Nigeria. I also believe that we should hold our leaders accountable. |

lacicrips: My 6 months old alsatian wolf is very stubborn and never listens to me when he charges against people. He constantly tries to attack everybody when I take him out for walks, and this embarrasses me a lot as well as the innocent passer-bys.
Funny thing is, he listens and obeys his commands when we're indoors. But as soon as we're outside, he throws caution to the wind and becomes his own boss and would never listen to anybody.
I've tried reading up on obedience training and also watched a few videos from oyinbos, but I'm looking for a more practical advice from Nigerians. Some people suggested discipline by flogging him into submission - I totally don't buy that as he might just become fearful of me and probably resent me forever.
