My input would be be if the concerns were all properly addressed in this re submission? they mentioned 1) The Spouse payslip was illegible; hope you have attached a very clear one now? 2) SOP was poorly documented; Hope someone has helped review the new SOP to be sure it captured the purpose as detailed and straight to the point as possible. 3) Lumpsum; Was this clearly addressed? Make a table on your SOP or LOE to explain the funds you have and plan for the study in a way it can be understood. I will also suggest in addition to the SOP, you actually write a LOE to address the refusal reasons ONLY. then the SOP will have the other study plan like your background, funds, home ties, reason for Canada and the DLI chosen, benefit of study to home country, etc. hence you can submit a LOE and an SOP. ( well I did this for mine after my initial refusal) Note: This is only a suggestion as it is not compulsory if you have addressed the necessary concerns on the SOP. All the best!!! Lani84: 3 Likes |

For every study permit, you are entitled to work 20 hrs during school and 40hrs during break. for applying for a Masters afterwards, it is possible. However, most Canadian schools close admission acceptance early for each session so it will be hard to get your result and still make it for the next immediate intake, except of course you are not using this route for study visa extension. then you can go for the next available session after graduation. Hello, You can maintain your two years program and actually show POF for the first year in liquid cash, then show any other means of income or property which can be liquidated to take care of the second year. Even IRCC do ask for the first year POF and not the entire years of study. as long as you have any other side means you can use to raise that expenses to show. if you really need to change, then just write the school and let them know, they will switch you to the one year option and also give a new LOA All the best!!! Years of program does not determine the requirement but level of program do. For this one, it's a 1 year program.. dude99: |

if you were self sponsored, the amount is surely not enough but since you are being sponsored, you need to get it right with your sponsor which was stated on the gcms notes. He can use his personal account that has his income flows, payslips, show assets if need be. He has to prove he is well established and sponsoring won't be a burden to his other family or personal responsibilities. Let other gurus share their own input on this too. For the health issues, did you pass your medicals? Most times, they access every situation in a case by case basis so if they accessed yours and you passed, then it should definitely have nothing to do with a refusal.... All the best Readytowear: |

The main thing here is that your eligibility has started and your application is in progress. Just keep sending reminder emails for them to expedite your application. The medicals will surely be updated anyways once they have reviewed it... Importantly, keep faith and it will end in praise soon. All the best DemmyDD: |

Flywire is used to generate the payment advise which you would present to the bank for Form A. So the form A is to access paying with CBN rate of the USD amount already generated from the Flywire platform or another means which the school must have advised ( CIBC or Global pay) depending on your school. mamaamanda: |

Post ban lift, they have been picking randomly for the day 1 test for both vaccinated and unvaccinated fliers. So if picked and vaccinated, the person will quarantine till they receive their negative test result. If unvaccinated, then the normal rules of 14 days quarantine applies irrespective of a negative day 1 test.. Iffylove: |

I don't know about Conestoga shaa but for Centennial, you may not depending on the level of program you are going for. After application, they will send you a mail of the requirements. Quoting below the exact requirement I received and submitted for my admission; REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR GRADUATE CERTIFICATE/FAST-TRACK PROGRAMS IN ONE PDF FILE Official university degree transcript or 3-year diploma transcript (from a recognized institution). Official university degree certificate/statement of result or 3-year diploma certificate (from a recognized institution). Name and age affidavit if the name and age on transcript is different from the international passport. Resume (Curriculum vitae). Thank you! PS; I am a student of Centennial college. Third party sponsorship are usually really difficult to prove because in the VOs head, he need to know why such person would want to spend all that amount to sponsor your education. People still get through with this when they prove past sponsorships from such individual hence it I not impossible to do. In this case, It also seem like your cousin presented a company account for your application ( I am speculating from the VOs comment on board approval). It is never a enough for your sponsor to only present SOA to prove sponsorship especially when it is a company account. There are more to prove. First, did he make any commitments towards your studies to establish firm sponsorship plans. To improve you re application, he can pay your first year school fees to show strong commitment towards your academic plans ( that is if this was not done already), if possible, do a gift deed to you for your maintenance for atleast the first year and show his personal account for other year. This will definitely improve your chances. Let more gurus add their own inputs though. All the best Readytowear: 2 Likes |

No it is not. At the time IRCC were sending NSE request, ielts is part of the NSE requirements. People still submit it to meet that requirement however, no one can tell If they still review applications via NSE. So if you have it, add it, if you do not have it, then do not stress about it. Note it can be general or academics module. All the best!!! hopeefe: |

We hope it was not an oversight from the CBSA officer that checked him shaa before they turn someone back like this. He should give us more info shaa. SomBaby: 1 Like |

Hello, welcome to Canada. Please explain this again cause it is not the interpretation of all the updates we have been getting from them on this ban. What status of visa did you with? Were you in Canada before now or you travelled for the first time? Also did you go from Nigeria to Gambia before proceeding to Canada? Madeincanada: 2 Likes |

Yes mostly same but to me ooo, the lil difference is that vaccinated travellers who have not been to the banned countries in the last 14 days will only do the day 1 testing and quarantine at home ( before now, they would stay in a government approved facility for 3 days to wait for their test) till they get a negative result, then if negative will be freed from quarantine. They also clearly made the update to capture every scenario that may occur.. Leyemoshood: |

Hello, welcome to Canada study thread. I always tell people that in this journey, it is very good to ask questions but then, you will surely need to read informations that have been posted already so that you can arm your self accordingly. Go to the the first and subsequent pages on this thread and read up the basic informations that have been posted regarding this journey, it will definitely help you in preparing better. For your questions: 1) Partially Yes . Some schools accept 70% of your last two years, so some 2.2 may have a high CGPA in the last two years of studies. Also some accept professional experience with the 2.2. A school like UCW accept 2.2 for their MBA that is if your career pursuit is in this line. Most MSC programs are very competitive and 2.2 is not always a good fit, but if you do more research, you can get in with your 2.2. If you are not able to get an MSC, you can always go for PGD too. 2) Schooling in Canada is not cheap except you get funding for your program. Schools like Mun and University of Manitoba are affordable. Colleges like NBCC and NSCC are very affordable but they do not offer MSC. 3) This depends on your tuition fees and cost of living in your province of choice. The provinces in the Atlantic regions are more affordable to live in. 4) It can take up to a minimum of 6 months from admission to study permit, however, the duration will depend on when IRCC issue your SP cause the timeline differ for different individuals. 5) Proof of funds required for one person is calculated with: Tuition fee + Living Expense ( 10,000CAD ) + Travel ticket. So you are doing a two year program, it is always best to have the first yea POF in liquid cash, and then have the other year in investment , other source of income supported with proof. More people will add their own opinions too. All the best to you. sbot: 6 Likes 1 Share |

Thanks for this information. I believe this is correct. Someone said his friend entered Canada yesterday. Though he has been in the US for 3 weeks. Ofcourse they did not ban Nigerians but banned anyone who has been to any of the countries on ban list in the last 14 days whether they are from there or not... Hence, the reason people want to go to other countries not on ban list to spend 14 days and proceed to Canada. But while at your plan , ensure to go to a country that may not likely make this ban list. Cause Ghana has declared a case of the Omicron so I do not think it is a good fit for this purpose right now. All the best to everyone Kema22: |
