I think u are mis understanding this issue there is NO cashless society anywhere in the world maybe in the future but there is CASH and CAshLess society running simulatenously. Atm is actually the beginning of a cashless economy because you can make transaction with u card. so that there are two options and it yelps reduce or stem inflation and price increases in d economy because for cashless transaction one can charge the exact Amt eg price of coke 50.50 swipe ur card finish but in cash society someone will be liking for 50kobo change 4 u. And also ant point is dat e transaction is based on gsm technology and power. As long as the bank CPU which us the server has light I brleive if it's to on gen fir a trans nothing spoil. Nigeria cannot be backward thinking all d time and also I dint agree to 5000. Naira note cos of naira devaluation. Turning naira to shit money

How many people do online shopping in Nigeria? How many stores have chip and pin counters? How many payments are made online? How many people have access to internet? How many people have bank accounts?

as long as the point of sale has electricity and the bank has electricity this shd not be a problem so ur not correct. Assuming u go to a store or a barber for eg after he cuts ur hair all you need is to swipe ur card. The barbers terminal will connect to the bNk and approve the transaction simple
