Hi peeps,

September this year will be our 10 year wedding anniversary.
I would like to get my Mrs something to mark it but I'm in a fix as to what.
Can anyone, especially you ladies, offer any suggestions?

I have discounted the following:

1. Jewellery (she got enough,hardly ever wears any in any case)
2. A holiday( not personal enough,I would benefit just as much)
3. A new car(we already got two perfectly good ones)

So come on folks get your thinking caps on.

What exactly do you mean by the queen's English?

If by it you simply mean good English spoken grammatically correctly,
then I can understand your embarrassment to some extent. But if you mean English as
spoken by the English aristocracy then you have no point.

You might be interested to know that the vast majority of people even in the UK do NOT speak queens English. In fact quite often native born speakers of English are often the worst speakers and writers of the language. You would be shocked at some of the grammatical mistakes and sentence structures native born speakers use.

So I hope this puts things into context for you a little bit. If your man ticks every other box then I say to you go for it. Or would you rather someone who is eloquent but spouts absolute crap?
