I'm surprised your Urea takes that long to dissolve. We use Indorama Urea, and I've found it to be highly soluble, although we apply fertilizers manually.

If you're not getting good results with your venturi, have you thought about applying a urea solution as a spray on the plants (though you have to be careful) or using a product like Haifa Bonus, until you can get a good 15-15-15.

I don't apply urea through venturi o. What I'm saying is even though I mix urea with the npk and Bury it, it's not giving me good result. When I want to apply the npk through venturi, It takes like 2-3 days before dissolving. The npk nutrients is not just enough

Please, who knows how to use golden friend npk well? I think I'm missing something here. My cucumber have not been yielding well since I've started using this npk. And also mix it with urea sometimes just to get better result but still the same.

Let me chip in something. With what I've noticed and practised, planting two seeds per drip emitter won't give out better result compared to a seed planted per drip emitter. Why? When you pass fertiliser through venturi, the emitter will only feed a single plant unlike planting two seeds whereby the plants have to manage the fertilizers. I learnt this when I noticed that the result I gained from planting one seed is very higher compared to two seeds per drop emitter.

For example, before I plant close to 20,000 seeds on an acre and I get roughly 300 bags but now I plant 9,000 and I get over 400 bags

My people! Been awhile. So a brief update on the current cucumber season, thus far we have 260 bags from the approximately 3 plots. I give glory to God. We are hopeful of another 40 bags. We have been harvesting for over 4 weeks so the plants are starting to wilt. But omo mehn this is the most difficult planting season ever! Constant rain for weeks, really heavy downpour. It is a miracle the plants survived for this long. People associate rain with DM but I didn't have problem with DM as it only started appearing in the last week or so. The main issues were lack of bees and insects for pollination, reduced uptake of nutrients, reduced care of plants (workers cannot work in rain) and over saturation of water in soil. All issues are due to heavy sustained downpour. Then with the heavy rain comes bad road so even transporting harvest to market was a problem as well. However, one thing that was beneficial from the rain was that everyone else was also having the same issues so any goods taking to the market was sold at premium price.

The initial target of 500 bags is no longer possible, we still made more than 100% ROI so I am not complaining. God is good!

Bros Emeka, I would recommend using some fertiliser with the manure you have sourced. It will give the plants a huge boost. I am able to harvest over a 100 bags from CU999 on a plot so there is no reason why you can't also. Look at my post from a few months ago for example fertilisers you can use, amount to use and when to use. Also since our oga seems to want to become more reasonable, what was suggested is aligned with the information I provided and if he doesn't agree, he is free to comment without insults please.

Man.. This is exactly what I'm facing also. I don't even have issues with DM but this season of rain is the season of chemical wastage. Spray the plant this morning, rain fall in the afternoon. I didn't really harvest much but we thank God. Rain helped by reducing the cost petrol usage but didn't help in the spraying aspect.. Hopefully rain will reduce or stop this coming month

my brother if it's not wacott bounty I will use chicken fertilizer instead,all those golden this,solar that,I have credible information from a snitch that the fertilizer marketers has a machine that moulds soil into pellets and they bag it,if it is not wacott that will have equal percentage of brown,red and white granules I am not interested.

15:15:15 has N:K - the three elements Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium have the same percentage i.e all the nutrients are balance

20:10:10 - in this type of fertilizer, Nitrogen is higher than the other major elements; potassium and phosphorus

Both can be used for similar purpose depending on the nutritional need of your crop.

Another balanced NPK is 20:20:20 but mostly used as a foliar spray

12:12:17 - had a higher percentage of potassium, very ideal for flowering stage of a crop

Hey,

This happens more than I would like it to especially when there is a strong cross wind. What I try to do is check all the bamboo poles and top wires before every planting season and replace any weak ones. I am still looking for a permanent solution.

PS. From your other question permit me to suggest one thing, For cucumber, drip irrigation is the easiest irrigation solution to have success with as it negates all the bad points from all other types of irrigation.

It will cost more money o.. I also use wire method for some sections too but I make the bamboo more closer. Can use up to 13 14 bamboos on a 40m ridge. But anyways, these are other methods.

Bro it is designed exactly for large scale farming. It is simple, just multiply by the number of plants you have to get total to apply, dissolve together in large barrel and fertigate all the plants at the same time. You are not meant to apply one by one to each plant .
