joyfullyjoyous: There was a woman staying close to us. She used to come to my mum's shop when bored. One day my younger brother went to assist her in fixing sequence on materials. Then my mum asked me to go m call him after some time. I entered n saw they were tidying up her apartment. What caught my eye was an old pic that dropped on the floor. When I picked it n saw the picture my head got swollen. It was a picture of the same woman taken decades ago. It was a black and white picture. The woman was well dressed and adorned iin gold jewellery. Though the pic was taken like over thirty years before, the woman didn't look a bit older. Immeriately she saw the picture in my hand, she collected it n didn't utter a word. This was a woman who laid claim to having come different ethnic groups in Nigeria. There's no dialect she could not speak. When sdjef today she would say she's from Edo,another day she will say she's Yoruba. One day her apartment got flooded and she came to sleep in our sitting room In the midnight when I wanted to go ease myself I saw her wrapped like a corpse sitted on the chair. I almost fainted. A widower on the street saw n took her in. She gave birth to a baby boy but was sent packing when the husband discovered she had no single family member that identified with her . At a stage she begged my mum to claim they are related but she didn't oblige. God knows where she is now. It's really weird. roaming spirits |

Notyamate: Ok let me go first.
There was this girl in my class during my predegree days. Anytime she's watching a movie she always mute the sound even when she's watching movies without subtitles. I asked her how she understands what the movie is about and she said she understands by their gesture/body language.
There was this other girl in my hostel with asthma. It's like she's got a death wish or something. The girl is always looking for what will trigger her. Na she go wan sweep the dusty surroundings, na she go wan fry plantain with red oil. One day she had an attack and we searched her bag for her inhaler, it was empty. Come see how we were running helter-skelter to get inhaler for her at 11pm. Thank God one guy got a spare she for die that night.
Over to you. watching muted movie isn't weird unless u develop it for no reason. mine in the days of Nightshift DBN and LWT my dad would send us to bed but we ll sneak up to d parlour by 10 - 10 :30 to watch movies, I always understand and would eventually narrate and relive the scenes in school d ffg day with my close pals. we all make it a duty to watch movies at night. that's where I watch movies like : the long kiss goodnight Conair face off dusk till Dawn Vampire, the one that dracular was named Valek surviving Picasso horseman on the roof nowhere to run the shadow Blackman the rock, Nicholas cage Nico under siege the man with the golden gun Timothy the ancient enemy alien : the one usher starred in life was good and simple but now.......chaos! God help us all |

megareal: Yeah, I can relate. Mind over matter. You know the funny thing? I was already exercising this when I was little. I knew I had the power to do these things and did them on occasion just to see what will happen. But I remember I really had power over animals and could influence them to do what I wanted.
The truth is as far as I can remember, I was a praying child, and had visions and spiritual encounters before I was 4. If I tell you some things that I experienced, they may sound far fetched. And btw, I'm female not male as some here think. nobody should get carried away by this dark occultic tosh the end is madness and they end up destroying their children |

The Minister of State for health is also by training a medical doctor.
And the reason why things are the way they are is that covid 19 is a new illness. an economy that is facing myriads of problems and challenges solved on day to day basis now accumulates it in one month and one Governor thinks he can solve it.
well he can try because it's a tenure and you have to work all through it, how successful he is dosent matter, there's no basis or need for performance review in governance here, only benefit review
why a central government blindly plunge into an unprepared lockdown base on medical strategy abroad but non existent here still baffles even the whiteman.
Lagos State is full of economic genius, the Governor only coordinates and so should widen the scope of his discourse and with FG.
If I was his SA my priority from the start would be a strategic lockdown not running around with rice and indomie. at this point, the agenda would overwhelmed him and Private and industrial players would inherit additional problems after the lockdown |

Marxizm: You got the picture. Op has entered into the hands of local Yahoo gang.
Op for your information, that girl was not pregnant in the first place. She's on a revenge mission. The format she's using is ''come and marry'' scam. It's a love-scam.
She got her first payment from the money for the abortion. She showed you papers and you just believed she was pregnant. You didn't take her for a confirmtion test? The pregnancy was a fabrication.
Stage 2: ''the Native doctor and the dad'' is the same person. Most probably her boyfriend. Yes, quite sure. She brought native doctor and curse from pregnancy to make you feel guilty and then put fear in you.
She has succeeded. You're weak and venerable ready to do whatever you're told do. That's how it works.
When you pay her own ''cleansing money'',then you enter stage 3.
Stage 3: the ''dad and the native doctor'' who is actually her boyfriend will tell you to come for your cleansing and that you can only get solution if it done the same place your girl did hers. You will surely agree because you're already ''charmed''.
So, they will continue to milk you like cash cow till you either kill yourself or you get sense.
Solution: delete her number from your phone and don't pick her calls. Or, tell her that you have a powerful man of God that can deliver both of you without collecting money. Don't allow her to lead you. Take the lead instead.
You might receive a call from the ''dad and native doctor'', threatening your life, Just tell them you will handle it yourself. If they pester you, tell them they're scammers and should Bleep off.
Once you do that, they'll know that game over. thank you bro.... I even wanto have that girl details make I deal with am. scammers.... her game is over since this guy has open up |

i pulled this from BBC
WHY LOCKDOWN MAY NOT WORK IN AFRICA
China, Europe and North America all adopted much the same epidemic control policy: lockdown.
African governments followed suit, but in general lockdowns may be simply unworkable in the continent. Only a few African countries, such as Rwanda and South Africa, have the capacity to administer a centralised strategy.
For people living from day to day, reliant on earning cash in the market to buy food, a few days' lockdown is the difference between poverty and starvation. |
