AVRecruit:
This is the lie women are being told today.

A woman can be anything she wants to be including President. I agree and encourage that.

A woman however has to choose a career that is Motherhood friendly and can not be anything she wants to be if she wants to be a mum.
Women need to make huge money too in order to live a good life and less dependent, men made it so these days. Gone are the days of, "stay at home, I'd provide everything", it is now, "take care of 50% of bills and I'd take care of 50%", yet she's still expected to fulfill her primary role as a woman.
The reason I ask what do men really want?

If a woman is biologically designed for childbirth and monthly periods of which none is her fault then she should be the mother she is ordaindd to be not a corporate CEO. Its common sense!

All the work she does should be intense and interesting enough not to interfere with this primary purpose.
A woman can be anything she wants to be and at the same time be a mother.
I only drew words from the op that says "why should women fight for equal pay at work places even though they go on maternity leaves." I smell jealousy.
Family › Re: Feminism: The True Colour by Vyolet(f): 12:53pm On Mar 05, 2016
She goes out of her way to fight privately owned firms and try to force them to comply to equal pay for men and women. And she lobbys the government to make it a law.

But you don't tell a private or non-governmental firm what to do with its pay structure. If they feel performance is relational to gender, then so be it. It's their call to make. Afterall, men don't take the "monthly stomach cramp" excuses for off duties, neither do they take maternity related leave. But this is just a start, it actually gets worse!
This part got me thinking actually, a woman is biologically designed for childbirth and monthly periods, none is her fault so why should men get angry again whenever women take maternity leaves?
Equal pay should be given ofcourse since they are placed on the same level at workplaces.

DeMekus:
You didn't get what I meant when I said I can wash my wife's clothes. I mean, I can wash them without expecting her to do same for me. Washing clothes is no big deal for me. I grew up in a home where one boy could do the entire laundry, while the other would fetching water. The girls were not allowed to do that as it was considered men's job. At the same time, the boys too would not cook because the mom never taught them. Only the girls. I cooked when I was still in school. As a bachelor, I still cook now when I have the time. If I can't, I buy from outside. But when I'm married, my wife will be in charge of the kitchen. That's the situation in the average family from the eastern part and I'm not ready to change that to suit civilization. Ask any Igbo friend you know.
My opinion!
Ying!! Wait until you get married before you conclude.
Marriage entails a lot of compromise where you find e yourself doing what you would not do naturally, therefore, you will cook someday.

Uncle keem, you are both over ripe for marriage like plantain, do it ASAP, these pictures describes wedding anniversary not bf and gf..
My boo and Me tied the knot early and we don't look like we are married yet.
My ratings: your Bae is pretty with nice physique, she has the tendency to blow if she doesn't watch it.
You are handsome, looking as healthy and well groomed, Bae has a lot of work to do warding off other women.

Assassination of character, only if the writer also feeds from Saraki, he would not spew all these.
I bet if saraki called him to be his media spokesperson, he would jump at it like a chicken.

Family › Re: Nigeria; A Country Were Men Are "Saints" And Women "Devils" by Vyolet(f):
It does not only happen in Nigeria though, it happens almost everywhere, it is just that the Nigerian woman suffers more in such situation. . There are no strong laws protecting the right of women, her husband can do whatever he wishes and even seek for divorce since he has nothing to lose financially.
The society is not fair on the woman as well, when a woman tries to leave her man, everyone would encourage her to stay and endure till she eventually dies from the abuse, there is a bad tag on single old women and divorced women.
The best thing is for every woman to do what she feel is best for her, she shouldn't allow the society influence her decision.
