Any poll that says Jonathan wins Lagos is fibricated - how will that happen? Rigging or what? |
Also, people are under estimating the population of hausas in Lagos and South in general. Go to "sabo" and markets like mile 12 and you will be taken aback by the level of awareness among them as to who to vote. They know the slogan of CPC more than the CPC members. They will even turn out to vote more than we southerners - all these votes are 100% for Buhari. |
This GEJ people will not stop amusing us. Of all group of Nigerians, it is the endorsement of Okada riders that Jonathan supporters are making noise about. Yes, they are Nigerians but any corrupt polician can buy them with just N100,000.00. If those poor guys that endorsed Jonathan are based in Lagos, I can tell you that Tinubu (Ojuyobo) will double the money given to them on the eve of the election and they will vote for ACN. These people are looking for what to eat - whoever brings money will have his way. The endorsement does not have to do with principle and the fact that they belief GEJ can better their life. Don't come here to tell us Olokada, NURTW, and their likes endorsed a candidate - that is petty polictics that we want to stamp out of Nigeria. |
Despite the intimidation, people still made it to the campaign venue. Just imagine what that place would have looked like if the state government didn't try to intimidate supporters with police. |
@TNUBU4LIFE, it is only the illitrates like you that will follow whatever he says. You know you dont have your own brain - so you must wait for a drug adict to tell you who to vote for. Why can't Tinubu go ahead and change Fashola? You and your godfather would died polically in Lagos and you would have known that Lagos people are not mumu like most of you think. |
For CPC, it is not a do-or-die. We will remain principled instead of allowing those that see politics as business to tarnish our good image. Tinubu is not interested in chasing PDP out - his only interest is what comes to him in politics. If not, how on earth will a man of integrity allow his wife to run for elective in his party? What does the wife wants again? Fame? or Service to the people? It is a pity. Everything is what position comes to me - in Lagos, after losing the battle to replace Fashola, he wants to be the one to appoint commissioners - Ojuyobo. |
Hi All, Under estimate Buhari in South West at your on detriment. I just returned from Osun state (my home state) - even with CPC not present and not doing any campaign at the moment, a lot of people have made up their mind to vote for Buhari because they know him very well. PDP/ACN members are the ones helping us to paste Buhari posters across Ede and Oshogbo as we speak and they are asking that we come and play jingles, etc on the state Radio. Most of them will vote for their party at the Senate, etc but for president, they will vote for Buhari. ACN is the only problem that Buhari may have - them being the ruling party and Osun state being a state where people depend on government for survival. So, majority will vote for whatever lie Tinubu asks Aregbesola to tell the people. Now Lagos, most of the people that will vote differently in the coming guber and presidential elections will vote for Buhari. Who says Lagos people like Jonathan because of his name? Are you telling me that Lagos people are mumu who will vote just because of somebody's name? You guys must be joking. Whoever tells you in Lagos he is voting for Jonathan because of his name is a PDP member or a PDP supporter? I don't believe Lagos people are that unintelligent to be carried away be name - it is only the PDP members that fall in the category of unintelligent people. And how many are they in Lagos? It is difficult to assess Buhari in the SW until he campaigns here - I am hoping he will do that before the election. Before Buhari started his campaign in the north, majority of our internet worriors were saying Jonathan will win NE, NC and will get 50% in NW. But now that we have seen what the people of the north want, PDP is jittery. Jonathan can't sleep again and he is now going about with N500m to bribe the emirs. Nobody expected what we saw in Jos today - it is a signal that mojority of Nigerian wants change. |

You see, most of the Jonathan supporters are reetards. Are we suggesting that a leader of people should abandon them just because some misguided elements are causing trouble there? Second, was this the reason given by the CP for asking Buhari to stay away? If you want to lead people, you must be ready for whatever happens to you in the course of the struggle. Buhari, like a soilder that he is, was in Jos. He campaigned at the venue of the rally - the crowd was large and there was no violence. The people causing trouble in Jos are the criminals parading themselves as leaders. It is not impossible that the weekend bomb blast was to scare away Buhari. |

Buhari has never be an eloquent person. of course it is not aloquence that we need now - we need a man of action and that is Buhari. As as a governor, he did well. As a minister, he did well. As head of state, he did well. As PTF chairman, he did well. So you can’t question his competence as an administrator. And with all these positions that today's politicians will call juicy positions, he did not corruptly enrich himself. What else do we need? And back to the debate, it all depends on the perspective from which you look at it. If you look at it on the surface like many hurriedly did, you would say Buhari did't do well enough. If you look at it from an oratory perspective, you will say Buhari didn't do well enough. But if you watch the debate and process the responses (which many didn't do), you will know that Buhari understands the issues and his responses were spot on. Lets start - Education: Is there is any problem with our Education System? Buhari said NO – I agree with him. Why? The education system we operate is not unique to Nigeria. We have the same system being praticed in other countries and it works well for them. What is unique however with Nigeria education system is poor funding and inadequate supervision. Starting with UBE, a properly funded UBE by federal government will equip our kids right from cradle. Funding should be provided and properly supervised – these two key things are missing in Nigeria today. Also, Buhari talked about the need for technical training in school as we have in 6334. Everybody will agree that if 6334 is properly implemented and funded with strick supervison, we may end up becoming the likes of china and japan. No other candidate talked about the need for technical training and the need for FG to properly fund UBE. On private schools, Buhari said there is no problem - this is democracy. Whoever can afford it can use it. We have these everywhere in the world. On this issue of education, I give it to Buhari. Budget: Buhari mentioned that budget should not be an adhoc stuff. We should have a long term plan and on that basis, we can develop our budget for each year. This represents the best solution to our budget issue and of course, solution to our infrastructure challenges/unemployment. The issue of recurrent expenditure, can always be reviewed and agreed. Ribadu said, he would insist that salary and allowance be cut. The question then is, where is democracy if a person can have his way no matter what? On this again, I give it to Buhari. Corruption: While some people belief that Nigerians are not corrupt/indiscipline because of political gains, everybody even the people in the hall at the venue of the debate agreed with Buhari that corruption is the bane of all our problems. Buhari said, if a leader or executive head or president is corrupt, the people under him will not agree not to be corrupt. So, corruption needs to be eradicated in the system if we must move forward and that the leaders will be the one to lead by example. He said he will be accountable to the people and everybody under him will be accountable as well. My question to Ribadu is, if Nigerians are not corrupt and indisciplined, why are things this bad in the country? Why was Nigeria once ranked the second most corrupt nation on earth? Why the EFCC? I give this to Buhari again. Power: On power, the solution is as simple as Buhari put it - go back to 1999 and we work from there - what did have then, how much money have we spent so far, on what, what have we achieved and where did we get it wrong - you will agree with me that Buhari knows what he is saying. When Ribadu said we need to do this, have to do that, etc. Who told him the $16B was not to be spent on those things he highlighted? But did they spend the money on it? Investigating our expenses till date on power will help to know where we got it wrong - this is not to witchhunt anybody - so the corrupt should not be afraid. In conclusion, the fact that Buhari is not a talking person (or an orator) doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a plan. Soilders normally go straight to the point – they are not marketers. And anybody can correct me if what I stated above is different from what GMB said. |
@Gbawe, thanks for your contribution - sure it will enlighten a lot of people about the man Buhari and the reason we are supporting him. Buhari has not been an orator and his followers are not with him because of mastery of english - as a matter of fact he did better than I expected - an ex-military man coming out to face public debate. he was trained to act and give orders. Shakarau has been a teacher - how will he not be able to talk? Ribadu dissappointed me because as a lawyer, I expected him to do better. By the way, he knows his limitations and the reason he has chosen Bakare as his running - the same thing he with tunde Idiagbon. That is a leader. BB all the way, |
Thanks you Doyin - it is not oral english that matters - the important thing is the content. If you read the text of their responses, you will agree with me that Bihari did very well. But again Buhari is a man of view of words. His training/profession is not to talk but to act and give orders. So definitely, teachers and lawyers whose daily job is talking will do better in a debate. Buhari used the debate to clear a few things about himself - dictator label. He was careful and matured about his responses. |
Buhari performed better than I had expected in terms of talking and debating. For a ex-military man to come out and face a public debate and even able to tell us what our problems are and how to address them although not with the eloquence of Okotie or Pat Utomi. Please give kudos to him - he has grown beyond his training and environment and for this reason, those that are undecided should vote for him. He represents what we need in a country and he knows the problems - corruption and indecipline. Ribadu said there is no corrupt person in the country but people disagreed with him there. One would ask Ribadu, why was he appointed the EFCC chairman if there is no corrupt person in the country? |
