That being said, talking on phones while driving remains a danger whether or not Bluetooth is used; it's not the act of holding phones that's the problem. It's the distraction from the conversation itself.

One can imagine the level of distraction of a driver having combative conversations with their spouses or love interests, or being told bad news such as injuries, deaths, job loss, financial losses, fire outbreaks....even an interesting conversation can easily distract a driver and dull their immediate attention and peripheral vision.

But Nigerians don't really care. Some make phone calls only when they're driving, others choose to text. Some even browse.
