Steep Slope Site

Most of environmental and land use literature do not favour the formal development of steep slopes for building purpose. The reasons range, from the cost implication of grading, basement construction and filling and backfilling and foundation reinforcements, to environmental ones such as risk of flood due to excessive run off and erosion, differential settlements, and land slide. Also needed to consider is the provision and operating cost of building service facilities.

However, such site could be put to informal recreation use such as park, gardens and event centers.

Irregular and rugged sites or areas
Irregular and rugged site for residential, commercial, and industrial building purposes has high cost implication for grading, transportation and building service facilities.





However, the side can be put to recreation use such as children play area, picnic and vacation use with a considerable lower cost implication.

Derelict Quarried Lands
These are former sites for stones, gravels, sand and clay extraction. If these sites lie within an altitude of about 50 meter and above, they constitute a very good site for construction, because of their firm surface structure. They may save the cost of excavation of foundation trenches. However, if they lie within very low altitude and very low in relation to the adjoining road level, it may bring an implication for cost of backfilling in foundation as well as filling of the outdoor area of the building. Another alternative to consider is to put to recreation use in terms of parks, gardens and picnic Centre. Plant treatment with trees, shrubs and grass can produce desirable aesthetic experience.

Rock Outcrops

•Low noise zone
•Not too remote form security and neighborhood facilities, and services
•With moderately firm soil
•Devoid of excessive moisture
•Average Load bearing capacity
•Gentle slope of less than 12 degrees (20%), preferable in direction of public drains
•With Access road, among others.
•Altitude of about 50m and above

As in my post if read it, the bld is now at lintel level. If you have rough estimate of 2000 blocks @ 140, you have 280k alone on blocks. Let alone other cost 4rm foundation to labour, cement at least 50 bags, labour, sandr. I hope you captured your cost very well. If you check my signature you shall see I am scholar in construction cost. It is well.

So why wont they flood this country with thier products. Why wont dollar ride on Naira when we over depend on importation. Check that your room and take inventory of the products around you. Its true we need power but even after the power improves do we have the know-how of what to do with it?
As a matter of National priority every one should go and obtain technical education. Starting from creche to highest institution. Thats what can save this Nation.
I dont know how much of prayer will give capacity in sofware dev, circuit board dev. etc if we ourself are not willing to develop capacity in these areas. Also I dont know how we are going to develop without mastering this crucial technologies. Analyse the jobs in our job market you see they are mostly admin work that you need little or no training to master. Where those jobs will take us I dont know in the track of development. Development is a choice and not an automatic destiny as many of us believe.

I had my experience sometime when I was still young after my school certificate.
I had always been wondering whether speaking is real or not.
In the church, then at one of TAC branch at Ibadan, we where told to come next sunday,fasting if we want the baptism and I complied without telling anybody at home.
So at church alter call was made, and I came out. We were told to be singing praises and the ministering MOG was laying on hands on pple to receive it. When he got close to me but attending another person, his suit touch me and I fell a strong blow on my spirit man and I went down. Then I wanted to speak.then my tongue started rolling and I was speaking misteries ,
That experience was my first and the best till date

Many look down on the Word of God as written in the scripture because of way highly technical issue were written in a simplified form, e.g. the Lord said, let there be light and there was light…. Gen 1:3
They think that it is too simple, nontechnical and not scientifically detailed to have been authored by infinite intelligence such as Holy Spirit.
However, this is what they fail to realize; to liken the scriptural writings to a professor of rocket science attempting to explain the science of rocket to a Stone Age man, is by far away an understatement. In effect the Scripture is just an attempt by Holy Spirit to simplify highly complex issue to the writers and would be ordinary reader’s comprehension so that no one shall have excuse on that day.
And even at that today how many people can still ordinarily grasp comprehension of the scripture without the Holy Spirit’s help.
My advice to them and you my friend is this, never allow the way the Scripture is written make you doubt its validity. Jesus said: ‘the scripture cannot be broken’ that is a law and not a theory, let alone hypothesis.
I can guarantee you that if you allow the author (Holy Spirit) and you develop yourself very well in science of logical reasoning’s, you shall begin to easily comprehend and appreciate amazing harmony among various writings of different writers of the Scripture as inspired by the Holy Spirit.
You shall soon conclude that it is the most complex writing that tackles the most complex issue of existence i.e. past, present and future, presented in the most simplified form.
In conclusion, more people shall go to hell because of lack of knowledge than those that will end up there due to overt action. Please your discretion is highly advised.
