Akwa Ibom State Police Command has paraded a 28-year old man, Edet Asuquo, for allegedly murdering a pregnant woman and using her and the unborn child for rituals.

Edet Asuquo, a native of Ikot Otu in Itu Local Government area of the state, was said to have connived with four others to remove the foetus from the woman’s womb at night.

The deceased was a native of Cross River State and was said to be a customer to Asuquo who deals in oysters.

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Cordelia Nwawe, “Asuquo, having sold the first part of his seafood to the pregnant woman, lured her to his home claiming that he had abundance of oysters at a cheaper rate.

We start the journey by grace. It is written:

After salvation we start the process of growing in faith. Via this process, God deals with us in His school of faithfulness and mercy. Hence, it is written:

To be qualify in the school of faithfulness, you need to know what you are supposed to do. Hence it is written:

This takes time. And apart from knowing what you are supposed to be doing, you must persistently do these things, this as well takes time. So your days in the school of faithfulness is long.
Hence, while in school, you need support from your sponsor. This is where the ministry of mercy kicks in. Though you stay long in the school of faithfulness, your stay has time limit, hence if you overstay, the ministry of mercy can be exhausted and its support withdrawn then judgement kicks in.
This relationship as revealed by the Holy Spirit above, is the reason while faith is both gift of the spirit and also fruit of the spirit.

Conclusion

This guy does not know a jack about lands in Ikorodu and it's environment. That amount you mentioned (N200- N500K), will NEVER get you a land in Ijede axis. The land in that area runs into millions. That amount probably will be the foundation fee you need to pay the Omoniles to develop you land. Look at Agbowa, Imota and Isiu axis for that price range.

As good as the move sounds, they should also remember that Ikorodu is probably the fastest growing residential area in Lagos, and moving the mile 12 market would put so much pressure on the current infrastructure in Ikorodu.
What plans do they have for the roads in Ikorodu?
How will the area and security agencies in Ikorodu deal with the influx of traders and customers?
Moving the market doesn't solve the issue that caused the fighting, we just changed locations.

We (Nigeria as a country) should learn to do things holistically.

I can tell you authoritatively that relocation which is known technically as 'decentralisation' is long over due in those locations. Mind you professionally speaking social strife is more than 80% land use problem. Relocation shall offer better planning and organisation.

Value of land is subjective. However, there is what we call Market Value, which is a reflection of general opinion of all stake holders on opinion of value. Whichever value you get from market make sure you get development implications on such land before you ventured into committing your resources on it.
For now, for that range of price in Lagos, you can get land that is close to development viability along Ikorodu axis towards Ijede zone. Hope this helps.

Now I do not have full info on the current conditions of all the REPAIRED roads you mentioned but at least I know the condition of the following which concern me:
- GEJ did not start the East-West Rd and he did not finish it. The road is still a long way from being completed.
- GEJ did not start the Abuja-Lokoja Rd and he did not finish it. A large chunk of the road is yet to be completed.
- GEJ did not start the Onitsha-Owerri road project, 95% of that project was completed under OBJ, GEJ only completed about 5% of the job and commissioned it.

I do not understand how or why these roads are being mentioned as NEW roads, these are roads that all existed before I was born. Even in terms of repairing the roads, GEJ only did portions, he didn't start and he didnt finish the jobs. So how these roads are CONSTANTLY being mentioned as GEJ's sole achievements completely beats my imagination.
