Jubril Gawat, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu on New Media, has said that he is amazed that many southeast delegates at the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention are supporting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.



Gawat, who is currently at the convention site in Abuja, confirmed that many delegates from the south-east geopolitical zone are showing their support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT).



The APC presidential primary election will be held at Eagle Square in Abuja today, June 7, 2022. Delegates from various states are currently gathered at the venue to show their support for their preferred aspirant ahead of the election.



Bola Tinubu, who declared his presidential bid in January 2022, has toured many states of the Federation for consultation with delegates and stakeholders.

However, the former governor of Lagos State refused to visit the south-east geopolitical zone during his consultation.

What's your opinion on this? Can Tinubu emerge as the APC presidential candidate?
