My cousin was refused a UK tourist visa on Monday. The reason for refusal goes thus;

You intend to fund this visit yourself and you state that it will cost you £1850 ( approximately N462,500 if £1=N250), which excludesyour airfare. This is equal to twice your stated monthly income of salary of N230,000. [b]You have submitted no satisfactory evidence of such an income.[/b]I note you are married and support a young child. I recognise that the UK is a popular tourist destination but i am not satisfied that your decision to visit now at such expense is credible or commensurate with your circumstance. This suggest that you intend to visit for reasons other than a holiday and i am consequently not satisfied that you are a genuine visitor for the period or purpose stated by you or that you will be adequately maintained and accomodated for the duration of your stay.

He works with an oil company and earns approximately N230,000 a month
His intention was to go and relax and make some shopping while in London
His six months payslip was included in the application
His salary account having about N3,200,000 credit balance was also included to support his application
He added all the necessaries, i.e employment letter, leave letter, share certs,vehicle papers, C of O, to mention a few

He was really not happy with the decision of the ECO and knows quite alright that he can't appeal,

What can he do please? Your advise and contribution will be highly appreciated,

I need your support on this little challenge.
I applied for a 6 months renewal of my tourist visa but got 2 years extension from the BHC.
I was not informed to pay d variance between the application fees of 6 months and 2 years.
Hope this action won't generate any issue for me in the future if another renewal is sought.

Secondly, i intend travelling with my wife and kid of a year old now. Here my questions;

*What documents do i need to present on their behalf for the application?
*Do i still need to include my own documents as well?
*Do i need to fill a seperate form for my child?

Kindly guide me through the technicalities involved in the filling of the forms and the documents involved.

I just renewed a tourist/visit visa

The Manangement Trainee scheme in Guinness is only meant for Guinness emplyees and the serving corpers in Guinness. No application is welcomed from the public.

I have just gotten a visa renewal of 2 years at the BHC.
I intend applying for my wife and kid ( a year old ) as well but do not know how to go about it, and those documents to submit in support of their application.
My wife teaches in one the federal Govt primary schools and do not earn much.
Kindly assist with a detailed explanation of those documents required for a successful visa application.

I was suppose to travel on the 22nd of September, 2007 as specified in my first and initial application form for 6 months tourist visa, but couldn't make it not until 17th November, 2007 as my schedules were very tight then.

Do i need to explain the reason why i couldn't make it on the date specified in my initial application form as am about seeking for a renewal?

I don't intend getting another passport
I just want to be sure i can use my current passport
to secure the 2 years visa without any qualms

My passport expires February 2010 and the 2 years visa extention
might terminate by May (base on my calculation) 2010, that is 2 months
after my passport expires.

*Boarding pass
*Letter of intro from my company
*Leave letter
*confirmed hotel reservation

All the former passports were meant to expire next year base on the previous plan of the Immigration boss but was later given a validity of 3 years.
The new development was aired on Radio and TV. I think i saw it in the newspaper also.
So you don't have any course to fear.

The one you hold now valid till 2010.
You can continue to use it as long as it is valid till 2010.
You don't to change to the new e passport.

During my visa days, i never travelled to any country on the date i entered in my application form, i always travel later and it was NEVER a problem.
As a bearer of a tourist or visiting visa, i don't think you'd have any problem except you're attending a particular programme with fix dates. What matters is that you don't go to the country before the validity date: any other time is just ok, but avoid going when the visa is close to expiration period, that would be questionable.
Usually you don't need any document to tender at the port of entry, just your passport, except your case is complicated.
As for the accommodation details (hotel), i advice you not to inform the immigration officers at the port of entry that you changed your plans if you don't want them to send you back to Nigeria: just maintain that you're going to lodge in the same given hotel, nobody cares where you eventually stay once you're in the country.

What is your opinion concerning my last question?

I really need your guidiance concerning an issue which appears to be my greatest challenge as at of now.

I applied for a Uk visit visa and was given. The visa expires at the end of February. I intend travelling in this month of September as written in my UK application form (just to spend two weeks out of my Annual Leave abroad).
Due to a challenge beyond my control, my leave which was suppose to start on the 15th of September was rescheduled to November by my line manager and i believe that decision is justifiable.

My questions are;

*What would happen if i do not go on the date specified in the application form or what is required of me in this kind of situation cos i intend to reschedule the travelling to November?

*What are the documents needed to be presented at the port of entry?

*I made an hotel reservation for the application but now intend to cancel it cos a friend has agreed to accomodate me for that 2 weeks. Do you think that is possible?

*Finally, i would really want to know those documents required for a visa renewal after expiration. Am i to present those same documents i used for my first application?

Your advise would be so much appreciated.
