domex007: About this DS160 issue,
When I filled my previous ds160 in Nov last year I filled that I had an uncle in the US, but when filling the new one, the side where they ask
Do you have an immediate relative in the US aside from your parent?
I clicked yes, but when I was asked to specify which relative I didn't see uncle in the options just saw brother, sister, spouse, step father or mother, no uncle so I clicked No and went to the next question which was do you have any other relative in the US? That was where I now clicked yes but it didn't bring out the option where I could select Uncle, it didn't bring out any option at all. Is that how the site is or is there a problem? Do you think I made any mistake or its the site that's just messing up?
I hope I filled it well this time?

well as for me i dont think its the site issue cos when the girl couldn't see education stuffs on her ds160 page when filing it, someone filled his own and saw it on his own page.

As for me i will tagged that as security packaging cos they know what they are doing and why they did it that way to some people if i am not wrong sha.

Lol... No argument cos if i explain you wont understand... Am sure most people who took passport photograph were told that 2inches X 2inches is still the same as 5cm X 5cm whenever they said they want 5cm X 5cm.

Maybe because i said 2cm that's why u said wrong, anyway its inches cos America and British scale calculation differs but still the same at the end and thats when you will see America using LBS as weight while British uses Pounds

So dont look about the number 2 and 5 cos they are still the same at the end...

Anyway i stand to be corrected..

I think this usually happened to few people or so cos something like this happened to a girl on this thread and she told me, I asked her to post it on the NIV thread and the VO said is not something serious, We called the US embassy and explained, we are told that they can't do anything and she should fill another form.

She filled another form and still the same, This same girl told me that Zeezahbee got same issue and she was able to rectify it but i didnt get the way she rectified that (I dont know if its true but Zeezahbee assisted her to add her education stuff anyway). But i think the issue should be random issue although i may be wrong with that..

laura2014: I am afraid his present balance as a result of his condition at present cannot cover my tuition for the first year . He is distabilised that i dont even want to disturb him at the moment is why am shifting grounds to my Uncle and which he has accepted since my dad already talked to him.

my first year tuition is 28000$ from the account i sent to the school . they estimated the funds to be 45,000$

so my Uncle is my last hope. Just dont know how to package it and go about it is why i need that help and please correct me on my previous transcript.

but how do i fill the ds 160 . it definitely has to change now to my Uncle"s name . right ? or what do you suggest i write there . my dad and my uncle ? please advice . as i would not be going this time with my dad"s account at all . he is not able to sponsor me this time. he is in a terrible situation , you dont want to pray as i dont pray such for even my enemy. please advice how i should fill the ds 160 sponsor information.

As for me put your dad sponsor if you see add option there include your unlce.

But print your dad and uncle statement and go to the embassy with it and explain to the VO while your uncle will be support you in this...

laura2014: Hello House , I am new on here . and i need your candid advice . To be honest , i applied January for the US Visa and I was denied . How ever I have since asked for a new I20 from my School which i have gotten and am ready to hit the embassy again.
My first Interview in January My Sponsor was my dad . but he has since gotten a major set back as his goods was seriously seized by customs. so he is not able to sponsor me at the moment . Can My Uncle sponsor me now please and which means my Sponsor on my new ds 160 is going to change from my dad now to my Uncle . However , the sponsor details on my I20 is Family Funds.

Please advice me . God bless you all .

Since its family fund, your uncle can be your sponsor but you have work to do by telling the VO why your uncle is sponsoring you now since you told them your dad before...

But i will advise you not to change a vital thing you once filled in your first interview but add to it
