I worked with an oil servicing company in Lagos during that time I applied for OTC conference in the US which I wanted to sponsor myself but its quit unfortunate that I was denied. The visa, Reason: no strong ties in Nigeria also am single.....

Now I left the company to another due to some personal reasons, thou where I am now pay less but I have peace of mind...

My issue is this, am applying for my masters program in the US and personally I can sponsor myself cos apart from my salary I still own a company that do handle some projects. (There is enough fund) but I want to seek for the advice. Of the house pls... Should I apply for my student visa as a self sponsor or do I get a sponsorship letter from my company stating that they will sponsor my program even thou we know am gonna sponsor myself....

What's the best way to apply and get my visa approved??

I have constantly been receiving messages from the university of Notre Dame to apply to their master degree program. First was a message from the graduate school. Another came from the department. Yet another came from the program coordinator. Then came a message from the departmental graduate recruitment committee members. I know I didn't apply to this school. They said they got my details from toefl after scoring 102 in the test. My question now is this: is the university of notre dame a good school? What are my chances of getting admission? I have an undergraduate cgpa of 3.6 and my final two years of study produced a gpa of 4.2. It was stated in their website that the average cpga for admission is 3.6 out of 4. I emailed them about this and they replied that cgpa is not what they base their admission on alone. I asked them the possibility of offering admission since Nigeria is not allowed to write GRE in the country. They replied that I should get ets to send them a message that I was not able to test.they even sent me enticing messages like being offered over $26k funding on being admitted to their research based program. please house what should I do? Should I go ahead and apply? Is this for real?

I was denied the student visa in July 2012. I feel greatly that the reason cos i did told the VO thati have a sister in the states who is a citizen as filled on my ds160. Hence i had no choice than to say yes when he asked.

Again, i have another interview on Dec 6th, 2013. This time around i completed a new ds160 indicating that i have no relative in the US. And if asked, i intend answering that i used to have i has since left for Nigeria in Dec 2012 to a pick up an appointment.

Guys what are your stakes on this?
