I would expect your contract to supersede whatever this letting agency is saying.

I will start by writing them back stating that you have looked up the government website and it's clearly states that a Section 21 notice to evict a tenant is after a fixed term tenancy ends. And as you have a contract in place, by law there's no point waiting till mid May. You can say you are currently getting legal advice and would leave you no choice but to take legal action if however they insists further you cover bills for the month of May.

https://www.gov.uk/evicting-tenants/section-21-and-section-8-notices

This is how I will go about it. Hopefully more experienced peeps in the house will weigh in

Thank you

Experienced hands in the house, please I need your help with a section 21 notice.

Our one year tenancy agreement is due to end mid April. On the 9th of March, we were served with section 21 notice (2months) that the landlord wants to sell…..

We’ve secured another place and rent is starting mid April but the letting agency insists we’ve to pay the bills and rent for the current place till end of section 21 notice which is mid May.

The letting agency is insisting we’ve to pay the bills and rent till end of 21 notice period before moving out. But since we’re out of contract by mid April, I’m not sure where the legal obligation lies.

Pls advise us on what to do, as we can’t pay rents for two places

Thanks a lot. I’ve seen a lot of his videos and other YouTube videos. I’m working on an interview cheat sheet for myself so I need raw advise that I can input in it. But thanks anyway

learn how to answer STAR techniques for different situations relating to your field. Also speak in a clear, take ur time, articulated manner (not to the extent of boring the interviewer though) but ensuring you have the attention of the interviewer(s), Practice your intro and mention the required skills. All the best

Accepted, but my argument was not stripping off ones experience in its entirety; it was strictly on the location. Taking out your location as Nigeria and leaving it to just the Role, Employer and Responsibilities - which from personal experience reduces bias.

Both of you are right on this, I do not believe name causes bias truly, maybe because most of the hiring managers I interacted with are from other places with long/short funny names like we africans as well. I removed Nigeria from my resume, but left role e.t.c and it is during the interview I speak about my experience from Naija.....But honestly UK workspace is multicultural and diverse

We (Panel of interviewers) usually ask this question so that we can hurry up and decide if we want you or not.

So I usually sit on a panel of 3, and we need to take time off to tally an applicant’s score after the interview. If an interviewer tells us that he or she has an interview somewhere else then we always try to offer them the role if they score high at the interview.

This is to prevent them from taking up the other interview in most cases.

Thank you for sharing. I gained wisdom

Please assist with ideas on how to adjust the bath shower temperature, so it remains and stays warm/hot during bath.... This is our 2nd house in the Uk, initially we thought the boiler or shower in the first house was faulty so we just managed it but we moved into somewhere else and its same thing, its even worse off, 2mins into bath, water turns cold then takes another 2mins to get hot.

Boiler has been adjsted to pre-heat, we try not to use any other equipement taht uses hot water- dishwasher/washing machine e.t.c that uses water duuring bath yet its same.

Its a bit frustrating, Pls make una help me chuk mouth.

Note : house heats up perfectly, not sure its d boiler, tap in the kitchen runs hot water for longer mins.

It's awesome! Season 1 storyline is different from season 2. One is about an Irish ship and it's passengers, season 2 is about Japanese folklore

Good Afternoon My people!

Please has anyone done an interview with Birmingham City University for MSc Programme?

I need assistance regarding possible questions and answers.

Thanks.

I had an interview with the course leader. He just asked for motivation and reason for choosing the course, then asked for questions. It was very brief, 15mins I think.

There is no best way to parent a child. You can only try your best and leave the rest to God. In this case will advise you send your niece back home, she has an accomplice who is aiding and abetting the behaviors and your niece is the number one suspect. You can equally change her school, the accomplice could be in her school.
Meanwhile have a heart to heart talk with your daughter, remind her that when all the chips are down she has only you and her dad and you will always be there for her, make her your friend and try to understand her interest and for her sake dedicate some time to same interest. For now try and build her person so she doesnt get easily influenced or do such things again.
Also pray for her and with her. Pls don't give up on her. She is still in her formative years

Education / Re: B.Pharmacy Or Bsc Nursing? by wanney: 3:13pm On May 17, 2019
Whats your ambition on the long run?Nursing is more restricted in terms of practice area compared to pharmacy. Most nurses work in hospitals, NGOs,few walk in pharmaceutical companies. Pharmacists can work in a a lot of places (hospitals, NGOs,community pharmacy, FMCG research, pharmaceutical companies, infant/baby manufacturing food companies). Your ambition will guide your choice.

I'm a current student as well and i completely agree with the OP,
-Outstanding fees keeps popping up, the cost is more than expected.wondering why they didn't capture all this in their brochure.
-Repeat of similar content in courses.
-Giving you an e tutor for six courses,Imagine when he grades all your assignment in the courses almost the same way,You start wondering if he read through or just gave you a flat score all through.
-An average of eight courses per semester is too much
ABU needs to address all this issues please

Thanks for the roll call. I am doing fine. Just this heaviness ehn.

Please Mamas in the house, my doctor is saying because of my height (about 5'1or 2) thati would most likely have to go for CS. For now he says we should do a scan at 36weeks to determine baby's weight but I should put mind for CS. Pls I need mamas opinions o, does height determine Cs or not.

Thanks

Please ask him for a better reason, I'm around that height myself and didn't have a CS. Seen Alot of people in that height range who didn't,please don't allow him push you to it but If it's necessary,go for it.Height is not a determining factor, even tall ladies with narrow pelvis will have a CS.
