Good evening everyone, Please has anyone sent their passports to Abuja and received it on time in the past 1 week. My mum wants to send her ppt, but I am bothered due to this security alert and US pulling out their workers, if it won't affect Canada Visa stamping, or what do you advise please, she is really pressed with time. |

WarriBrandChic: Thank you all for the pointers on passport submission. Here is my full gist. I landed in Canada in April and hubby applied for visit visa for himself and our 3 year old daughter in March before I left Nigeria. He updated his profile with my SIN and ID Card via webforms when i got to Canada in April. The plan was for them to come for summer vacation, but after about 2 months of no update on his dashboard, we started sending mails and webforms to Nairobi, our first GCMS note came out in June with no major development on our application aside from criminality passed in March, then I contacted MP. The feedback was the same as the GCMS note and that it's still within processing time, that nothing can be done , so we should stil wait it out. We continued to send mails and webforms and at a time hubby sent mails to all the visa office emails he could find here (about 50+ of them) still, only few responded that he should direct any enquiry or webform to where our application was being processed (Nairobi). All through the process, we continued in prayer and thanksgiving relentlessly. Last month i contacted another MP after the first MP became unresponsive. He spoke to IRCC on our behalf and told us that, our application was just with other routine application and nothing major is going on with it, that also there is backlog with the processing office, he put in an escalation request, and 2 days later, they requested for consent letter. A week later we received our PPR......Glory be to God forever more. GOD came through on time for us. I return all thanks and Glory to Him, for Jesus never fails. Documents submitted Detailed LOE/SOP (about 4 pages) POF (Bank statements, with mybankstatement tickets) and explanation of major money movement in and out of the accounts. Travel History: He has been to the Uk twice and the US twice in the past 7yrs, but our last application to Canada and US in 2019 were both refused. Land docs PFA Statement Financial investments Vehicle Proof of ownerships Introductory letter from office Leave Letter Marriage Cert.... In All, my advice from our experience: No two applications are the same, there are different factors, different history, and different cases, but You have only one major job to do as an applicant, convince the VO on three grounds, and rememeber only you can tell your story passionately. You need to think as a VO and convince them that 1)You are financially capable 2)You have hometimes: i.e what draws you back to your home country is greater than an uncertain beginning in Canada, you have to prove this either by, family back home, a thriving biz or Job, social engagement, and may be evidence that you have never breached Immigration laws in the past. 3)You are a bona-fide visitor, student, or whatever you have applied for. Lastly and Firstly, commit everything in God's hand, ask him for guidance and Favour, and even if you don't get it, seek for his direction again and reapply. May the Lord grant all those wating for their PPR sooner than they expect it . Thanks and Cheers to this community. 10 Likes 3 Shares |

Its possible to enter with visitors visa and apply for study permit within canada. My coursemate did it and was approved in less than a month. Though it takes time to receive the permit print out (the one given at border). Its sent via mail to ones address and without it, you can't apply for SIN, Health card or get job. Fave12345: |

The only time you break the rule is if you don't declare. I declared my cash (over 10k USD) and had no issues. It wasn't even checked both in 9ja and CA. Calmdancer21: |

No it's not required if you are fully vaccinated. Most countries/organisations have relaxed their covid protocol but you can check with your airline. ciaj0: |

LANDING GIST Thanks to everyone on this platform for making this journey a reality, all informations shared are truly appreciated. LAGOS TO CALGARY I flew KLM on the 20th with stopover at Amsterdam. Flight was for 10pm. Got to the airport 6pm and was done with check-in by 7pm. Documents checked were just intl passport, arrive CAN and covid vaccination card. Said my goodbyes to family around 8pm and proceeded to gate. Boarded aircraft 9:50pm. Flight was smooth, was so tired so couldn't watch movies available. Just ate and slept. Food was just there, nothing special, can't even be compared to Emirates. Touched down AMS 30mins earlier than scheduled landing then had 6hrs+ layover. At AMS, document check was only intl passport and arrive can receipt. Boarded the flight, continued my sleep, ate and binged watched movies. Again food wasn't all that, snacks was OK though. Flight was for 8hrs and landed safely at YYC. Proceeded to the self service machine which was pretty straight forward then joined the short queue for immigration. Thankfully, it was just our flight that landed at the time so it wasn't so rowdy. Was my turn at immigration and only self service ticket, vaccination card and intl passport was requested. Was asked about food and cash and I declared all. Cash was above 10kUSD but it wasn't checked. For food, immigration wanted to be sure there was no milk/diary product or meat products. I declared Mt stock fish and spices but bag wasn't checked. For vaccine card, my name was written at the back and not front of the card (No thanks to the health worker that registered me in 9ja) so immigration was skeptical and requested I take a covid test on site. All this was done in 5mins or less. Picked my bags and proceeded to another area to get study permit and boy the queue was long with just one officer readily present. PS, I was the only 9ja waiting for SP, 98% were indians. Waited 3hrs to get to my turn. I was asked for only intl passport and my Letter of Introduction from Ircc. When it was ready, I checked right there for mistakes on the SP but still missed a vital one, expiry date of permit. I deferred admission and sent updated LOA when I received PPR but the TRV came with old LOA end date. I was going to get it sorted with SP at point of entry but forgot. PLEASE GURUS, KINDLY ADVISE ON HOW TO RECTIFY THIS. After collecting my SP, proceeded to exit for the Covid on arrival test. Thank God it was a surface swab and not too deep in my nostrils because i have never been a fan of that test. I was done in 2mins+ because I pre-registered with switch health. Left the airport after this and proceeded to my Airbnb. PLEASE I'M STILL SEARCHING FOR ACCOMMODATION IN NORTHWEST CALGARY, PREFERABLY VARSITY AND BRENTWOOD AREA. Been checking Facebook market place, rentfaster and kijiji. KINDLY CONTACT IF YOU CAN ASSIST. Thank you 38 Likes |

The form will be filled when results are out and you choose to use courier. Yes, someone can pick up on your behalf but the person MUST come with your ORIGINAL international passport. They said it's company policy. So until you find the passport, your best option is courier. venorite: |
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by WarriBrandChic: 10:57pm On Jun 01, 2019 |
For IDP, there is an option of them sending it via paid courier once you fill a form and send to them via email. Not sure of BC process. venorite: |
