Standupguy, Niagara College gave me a clause that if I have gotten trv then the 7k I paid won't be refunded and I'd have to school there. I had to scan my refusal letter and send before they believed I was denied visa and sent my money back. So if one wants to now switch to another college I don't think the part tuition would be refunded cos its stated well in the admission letter.

This is what I wanna avoid I no fit dash Oyinbo more dan a million naira nau. Reason am looking for a school that doesn't ask for part tuition before one licks trv.

Searching earnestly... I for no mind una help sha if anyone has the experience of not paying a dime to the school initially.

Good day Nairalanders, I am kinda new here but I have been going through the threads and I appreciate what you are all doing here.

Anyways, I am in a difficult situation in my Study Permit Processing. I was given a conditional admission by Carleton University for a Masters in Engineering program in Electrical and Computer Engineering in November and it took some weeks for my Undergraduate University to send my transcripts to Canada.

I finally satisfied the condition, paid my Tuition fees for the Winter term and submitted an Online application for my Study permit on the 11th of December. I also did an upront medical examination last month and attached it and my police character certificate to my letter of explanation on my application.

Please, I will like to know what are my chances of getting my TRV before the 5th of January. I know I have not waited for long but I will like to know what my chances are of getting it timeously.

Area,hailings. Ist of all u'll most likely not get it b4 one month after resumption date sef so better start looking to defer. Wud be nice if u have a May start date,but if its september,u dnt have a choice but to defer till then. All d best sha,God dey.

8-9 weeks minimum,so u see u need a whole drugstore of chill pills. Goodluck wit d wait. Btw,did u go paper or online route?

Its a big dilemma to me choosing which to go for and I am meant to resume each of them in 3 weeks time. i will like to travel to Canada as a visitor and will like to apply online before going to submit my passport, i heard that option is available and i have gone ahead to the CIC.gc.ca site in order to apply online but cant seem t get it , becos it requires that i apply through mycic account, how to create teh account i cant find it as i have navigated the site.
please can anyone help? as i want to travel in March and i need to apply asap

click on d "apply online" link,take the eligibility questionnaire and choose ur category "visitors visa" then u shud be able to create a GC key. Hope dis helps.

Humber college have shifted there resumption date for winter 2015 session from 5th January 2015 to 12th January 2015.....

Brother I beg you in the name of God, forget SAIT. Those people international student policy is too rigid. I was warned but i still fell victim.
I applied for there BAPT program in For Sept 2014 start date after I learnt about the program at the education fair, I was waitlisted from April to July, I was told to move my application for winter 2015 intake which stated on 1st if August, that I would be one of the first students to be considered since u have been on there waitlist.
I forfeited my admission with centennial college and sin clair college for sept 2014 just because I really wanted SAIT admission.
Lo and behold after waiting from August to October, I was again put on waitlist for winter 2015.
All my calls and cries for a timely admission so I can apply to the embassy was void.
Lucky for me I still had my winter admission for Conestoga issued since May, which my friend in Canada has been telling me to use for my application.
Till today I am still waitlisted on SAIT.
My Advice don't wait on SAIT, apply with any school you have, if you are issued Trv and SAIT decides to admit you, then you can change when you get there.
Learn for me..

Imagine the whole time wasted, i should have known my faith by now, and I ended up applying late.

Hmmmmmm,peeps got xperiences tho. Thanks for sharing.
