Good step in the right direction if u ask me. Slowly but surely, capital punishment would head in the direction of corruption, and its not rocket science knowing who d culprits would be. Remember, slowly but surely. |
victorv12: It seems like these westerners doesn't want Nigerians again in their country. We scare them! Thesame in India, Ghana, China, South Africa, Kenya and the UK. If they can suspend these Two exams, and at thesame time, the US Visa lottery, we should all be at alert! Something terrible is about to happen in this country. The signals are too glaring. Not long ago, the British goverment nearly imposed a 3000 pound visa bond on us. Our sensless rulers should wakeup from their slumber. Something terrible is being planned by the imperialist and the colonialist. It seems like they want us to die in our ignorance! Intellectual terrorism is more dangerous that the physical warfare.I feel u man,m wit it. Buh I'll be long gone when sh!It hits d fan. |

UGHELLI—PANDEMONUIM broke out at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, secretariat in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State, following a protest over the list of the party executives in Uwheru and Agbarho wards. The state Commissioner for Secondary and Basic Education, Professor Partrick Muoboghare, was stabbed by aggrieved party youths from Uwheru, his home town, who accused him of manipulating the list of ward congresses held last year. Several other party members were injured in the fracas. The aggrieved youths, who stormed the party secretariat in large numbers, disrupted the inauguration ceremony for hours, as party leaders and political office holders in the area ran for safety. The youths destroyed plastic chairs and other property belonging to the party. According to a source, Professor Muoboghare was stabbed on his upper arm and abdomen. He was rushed to Ufor Hospital, Ughelli and later referred to Oghara Teaching Hospital for medical attention. The source, who is close to the commissioner, said Muoboghare was receiving medical attention, adding that “he was stabbed by our Uwheru boys, who are opposed to the ward list.” Pleading anonymity, the source said that the commissioner was placed on oxygen, Saturday, due to excessive bleeding, which led to shortage of blood, adding that one of the suspects was intercepted by them and handed over to the Police in Ughelli. At press time, efforts were still being made to reach the Ughelli ‘A’ Divisional Police Officer for comment. However, a senior police officer attached to the division confirmed the arrest, saying “it took the combined intervention of the police and Joint Task Force, JTF soldiers to restore normalcy after the ugly incident. “The police is investigating the matter. One person in our custody has made useful confessions. I can assure you that we will get other members of the gang and they will all be made to face the law. Nobody is above the law.”N |
The strike action presently called by the National Union of petroleum and Natural Gas(NUPENG) includes the closure of WRPC and all private depots in Delta state alone as well as filling stations.even though few stations are still open. It started thursday 29th august,2days after the Independent marketers branch(IMB warri unit,a branch of NUPENG) general election in which the incumbent chairman, one Benjamin ifeta who assumed the position due to the demise of the chairman(whom he was vice chairman to) is striving hard to hold on to power unjustly for another tenure. THE ISSUES All executive positions in the union from national to unit levels have been zoned to the different ethnicities in the various catchment areas. E.g. >chairman-uvwie constituency >vice chairman-ethiope east/agbon constituency >secretary-Delta north/Anioma constituency >Financial secretary-edo constituency >Asst. Secretary-ughelli north constituency >Treasurer-yoruba constituency >Welfare male-Ibo constituency(across the niger). >Welfare female-edo constituency >Auditor-udu/ughelli south constituency. >Chief whip-uvwie constituency. The incumbent chairman from ethiope east, came into the govt as a vice chairman and assumed the chairmanship position due to the demise of the late chairman who is from uvwie(host community). Now that tenure is over, efforts for him to contest for the position zoned to his constituency (like he dis last 4 yrs) proved abortive. Now the host community want their slot back, and are suspecting that he has a hand in the death of the chairman(their son). Every other contestant are sticking to the zoning formula and buying the forms for the positions zoned to their various constituencies, but Mr Benjamin Ifeta stubbornly refused to return to contest for his vice chairmanship position and let the uvwie people buy their chairmanship forms and contest against eachother if need be. The zonal office which is in charge of the election of the unit brought a timetable for the election slated for september 5th 2013 to be preceeded by sales of nomination forms, voters(union members) accreditation, etc. Mr Benjamin ifeta in conivance with some zonal and national officers of IMB and NUPENG then decided to move the election backward to 28th of August and took it to Benin city as the venue.Something unconstitutional following the unions bye laws. To counter this move, also some zonal and national officers who wanted to stand by the truth, stayed back and conducted a parallel election same day and time as the illegal one being conducted in Benin city. So we had two general elections holding differently for thesame office(s). Executives were sworn in after the election in benin in which Mr Benjamin Ifeta surely emerged as the chairman unchallenged. He had handpicked the rest of his executives even b4 the election and so they were all victorious. Back in warri, executives were also sworn in after the elections,an uvwie man emerged as the chairman as the zoning formula was followed down the line of the executive list. This set of executives have resumed office before the Benin elected warri executives came, hence the war,jst begining with a statewide strike. |
yemi2plus2: Let it be noted that at the risk of sounding platitudinously humdrum,we have asseverated for the upteenth time, that the convocation of a sovereign national conference for purposesof interrogating the odoriferous vaudeville of our national jeremiad, remains the only potentand efficaciously utilitarian paspartou out of our cascading national sirocco but alas, disdain complacency to say the least and at best Olympian pococuranteismand the tedium of prescriptive poco a poco is what we have been greeted with by intellectual philistines, hig h priests of a prebendal state and their opprobrious agents...LOOK AM NOW?If this is indeed true, many more may follow and this deposits me in a state of heebie jeebies.Hahahahahahahaha.LWKMD. Labour becomes a state body and no more a national unified body. I smell more harm than good in all of this. |
I honestly don't see the sense in the secret execution. If these people were proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt, then I think its only fair to inform all parties involved and it should be done in the open. That's d reason amnesty international is speaking out against it. |
ignis: This man still have his right. He is not an animal for crying out loud. Why must he be humiliated this way? What he did was wrong if the story is anything to go buy. The fact still remains that he doesn't deserve this animal treatment. The girl and his so called neighbors should be brought to book for taking laws into their dirty hands. No let God punish u oo,for ur silly ass comments,u need a daughter soon to fully comprehend wat dese victims go thru.be like say u be accomplice sef. |

I was asked this question by a friend who works a job where he has a basic salary, but he gets the most earnings that's much more than his monthly pay dubiously in thesame office/business. As a legal representative of the company,he does some deals in the name of the company without the directors knowledge or consent and makes good money periodically though. Now the question is,how should he pay his tithe? Should he pay both from the basic salary and the dubious earnings? Or he should just stick to paying from the basic salary and forget the dubious side? Your advice based on scriptures will be vital. |
nenergy: You're joking right? Singing praises.hahahahaha What will you say when your friends asks, "how was last night", especially if you're a 'learner'?hahahahahahaLmao guy d matter taya me seff ooo, hoor.
