A few months ago, I observed that many of my friends were posting pictures of a stolen car on their WhatsApp status. I later discovered that the stolen car belonged to a close friend of mine who is a car dealer.

Some weeks ago, I got good news that the car had been found in Kaduna.

However, tonight my friend (the vehicle owner) posted a heartbreaking update about the case on his WhatsApp status. I was doubting whether to post it on Nairaland but since he has posted it on twitter himself, I'll just copy his tweets and share it here.

An Abuja-based event compere, Stand up Comedian and hypeman, Ogunleye Michael Ehis, popularly known as MC Akpere is currently recuperating after a ghastly accident days after acquiring a new car.

He was said to have hosted an event tagged Rhythm & Cruise With Akpere at De Governors night club in the Garki area of Abuja.

Sources said after hosting the event on Nov. 9, he acquired a Mercedes Benz C230 on the 13, apparently from proceeds of the event.

The sad moment however came exactly a week after when he had an accident on Nov. 20 at about 5am.

A female passenger with her was said to be in a critical condition while MC Akpere also sustain a significant injury.

A source familiar with the incident posted on social media, "We wish to inform the general public that mc akpere is safe and alive the accident happened in the early hour of 5am, which a call was placed across to his management CLINT ENTERTAINMENT @EJANLA1OFABUJA, he was immediately rushed to the hospital at the early hour of 5am, we wish to thank everyone especially @tutuofabuja for your urgent presence. Mc akpere is safe and recovering."

It is not clear what the cause of the accident is as at the moment of this report but Akpere and his female passenger are responding to treatment.

The IDF said Wednesday that soldiers of the Givati Brigade conducted an operation at the headquarters of Hamas’s Northern Brigade, which is located in the Sheikh Zayed area in the northern Gaza Strip. Sheikh Zayed is a neighborhood in which many senior operatives of the Hamas terrorist organization live. In this area there are many Hamas outposts that are used, among other things, by Hamas’s Nukhba forces, and which are located in the heart of the civilian population.

The soldiers carried out an operation at the outpost, where they located several tunnel shafts, including a strategic tunnel shaft some 50 meters deep and 7 meters wide. A scaled-down model simulating an IDF armored fighting vehicle and a wall simulating the security fence of Gaza were also located in the area. In addition, launch complexes were located that include a lathe for the production of rockets, underground pits intended for launching rockets, as well as many additional weapons.

As part of the operation the soldiers eliminated dozens of terrorists in the area. At the end of the operation, the soldiers destroyed the outpost.

Furthermore, in another operation in the same area, soldiers of the Givati Brigade identified many weapons in a vehicle that was apparently used by Hamas terrorists during the brutal massacre on Oct. 7, inside a mosque.

Collins Enebeli Ajereh, the father of famous Nigerian record producer and music executive, Don Jazzy, has revealed that he is not pressurizing his 40-year-old son to get married.

He said Don Jazzy had been married before but he and his estranged wife decided to go their separate ways.

Speaking in a recent interview with TVC, Ajereh maintained that he would not pressurize Don Jazzy to remarry, stressing that marriage is a personal decision.

He said, “He (Don Jazzy) was married. But they (he and his ex-wife) decided to end their marriage.”

Asked if he still has hope that Don Jazzy would remarry, Ajereh said, “Well, that is his choice. The question of marriage is individual choice. Some people choose marriage and some don’t and yet have relationships that might blossom into what makes their lives complete.”

He added that he does not think Don Jazzy’s decision to stay single was because of the nature of his job.

It should be known that the popular beatmaker, Don Jazzy, revealed that he got married 18 years ago to an American model and writer, Michelle, but got divorced two years later.

The Mavin boss posted his wedding picture, which showed the couple in a warm embrace on his verified Instagram account and explained that he got divorced because he made music his priority.
