AceVentura:Pulmonary aspiration. |
doctokwus:Oh, I just understood your point. Missing out "probably" from my first statement was a mistake. I never intended to conclude outright that the baby died from aspiration. I have edited the post duly, and I sincerely apologize for my initial misconception of your corrective comment, and for the harsh, rude words used in my first reply. I'm indeed sorry. |
doctokwus:People like you can be very funny. Did your eyes skip the part where I used the words "Chances are"? If you're too dumb to understand what that means, it simply means "there is probability that". So, just so you know, my statement wasn't by any means an affirmative or conclusive one. If you saw it as such, the problem lies with you. |
The baby probably died from aspiration. Going by the part of the story stating that the baby had pap passing out of her nostrils, she was probably being force-fed, overfed and subsequently malhandled, or not properly positioned while being fed. |
Kdon2:Jesus ain't no lord. You can come and beat me. |
Kdon2:Just as your eyes would clear on the same day when Jesus would deny you people. You see, you can't intimidate someone with what that person doesn't believe in. You people seem not to understand that fact. |
ebenice:If mentioning the name of Jesus made you think I "know" him, then you definitely know Allaah, too. And your post doesn't change the fact that there's NOTHING worthy of being worshipped other than Allaah, the one who created all things. |
Leonbonapart:There is no deity worthy of worship except Allaah. Jesus ain't no Lord! I understand that this post might be deemed as unnecessary, but so was yours. You need to understand how it feels. Again, Jesus ain't no Lord. |
Meanwhile, here in Nigeria, some people are still trying to invent a potent voodoo that will fly them invisibly to countries like UAE, US, UK, Canada, etc. The available versions of that voodoo can only fly you into a nearby bush or dunghill and back to your home. So, ideas are welcome for the international version. |
Like Puidgemont, like Kanu! |
Cost per click isn't fixed. It varies depending on target country and niche. Some keywords related to web hosting and insurance cost as much as $70 per click. |
Nnaabros:Yes, since yesterday. |
Bapy:Truth is, I'm always very busy, and I might not be able to reply Whatsapp chats. But if you call me, I'll answer (Oh-eight-oh-six-two-three-five-7604). As regards choosing the right niche, this post will guide you: http://webincomeplus.com/start-blog-nigeria/ |
Bapy:My brother, it's all about time management. For a start, you should have a fixed fraction of your day (say 2-3 hours) dedicated to blogging. Then what matters most after that is consistency. Spending just 1.5 hours every day and being consistent with that is better than spending 10 hours on 2-3 random days of the week. If you plan your time well, you won't be distracted. After all, you don't spend all of your time reading. After all, despite being a student, you still find time for social media and nairaland, social outings, chats with friends, etc. So, you can cut down on the time you spend on those stuffs and put them into blogging. Then blog correctly by choosing the right niche and approach. I can't go into details of that here and now. |
AnkaraStyles:Mine has been sent. Nigerian adsense. |
Looooool |
greenhealthng:I'm not under any obligation to teach anyone anything. First, get that clearly. But even at that, I run a blog solely for the purpose of teaching others how to make money online. That's more like a humanitarian thing because that particular blog earns me crumbs every month. I can't allow the passion to help others distract me from the businesses that really make me money. You might not understand, but if you're in my shoes, you'd dig. And you people tend to forget that apart from online business there are other things to worry about. I have a family and I'm a final year medical student. If all those don't send a signal to you, well, it's your choice. Your statement that I come online to intimidate people isn't based on wisdom. You can see that the OP mentioned me in the thread, asking me to answer the question honestly. And that's what I did. And I do share such information just to prove to others that making money online is real, not to brag. If I wanted to brag, I'd create a thread for that and show my bank statement as well as assets I've acquired with the proceeds from online business. If you think this effort of yours can tarnish my image, you can try harder. I mean, you can throw bigger tantrums. Whatever opinion you decide to have about me is your choice. |
CocoBee:I earn over $1500 monthly from Adsense and Amazon affiliate. Convert to naira and answer the questions on my behalf. |
There's nothing wrong in using anti-Adblock since the essence of floating ads on your blog is to have them displayed. To me, the idea of adblocks doesn't really make sense. Why would anyone visit my site to get free information that I work hard to generate, and still decide to block the ads that fetch me revenue? I understand that ads are obtrusive, but if you're not fine with them, just leave my site and find your free information elsewhere. If you must enjoy my blog's content for free, then you must be willing to bear with my ads. Life is all about give and take. I'm blogging to make money, and running a blog comes with hosting and other expenses. |

No, I won't. |
Ibenny:In terms of prompt crediting of funds to your account, GTB rocks. As for First bank, you have to mail them sometimes before they credit your account. |
A consultant in the Gastroenterology unit of LUTH told me sometimes last year that Hepatitis C now has a cure, and they've started administering it to patients. So, I'd advise you to tell your sister to visit LUTH for the appropriate medical advice and prescriptions. |
Compliant:I don't know for other banks. But for GTB or Access bank, you can't upgrade from savings to domiciliary. You'll still have to provide two references. For GTB, you can upgrade with a current account without bringing references because you already did that while opening the current account. |
Heffalump:Yes, but they are quite fair and somewhat insignificant. GTB charges me 0.5% transaction charge after every withdrawal. That's $0.5 for every $100. That's fair enough to me. |
This is what happens when maggots finally gain access into the skull and start feeding on the part of the brain that controls sense and thinking. |
AnodaIT:Even 50 is an understatement. Hundreds! |
xheyi:All the same, try to open yours if you want absolute peace of mind. Get an int'l passport and open your own domiciliary account. You'll need both the passport and dom account for other purposes later on (the passport has an expiry period of 5 years, and if you have any cause to travel out of the country, you won't have to run around then for one). Since you can't continue to depend on someone else's account forever, it's better to open yours now and move on! |
xheyi:It won't. Adsense already understands that there may be times when the payee is not the person in whose name the account was opened. That's why they allow you to add "Payee name" instead of assuming it's the same as the account owner's name. |
xheyi:Nobody is cheating you here. Banks operate with the official rate of N305/$. So, if you must have your dollars converted by them, that's the going rate to be adopted. There's NO way you'll get your money converted at black market rates by the bank. And there's no way the bank will hand you dollar notes in cash, since you submitted a local bank account to Adsense. There's only one way to have your money converted at black market rates. And that's through a domiciliary account. With that, you'd be able to withdraw your dollars in cash and convert at black market rates with any BDC operator. The only way out now is for you to instruct your bank to decline the transaction from Adsense. The money will reflect back in your Adsense account, and Adsense will attempt to pay it again after one week, before which you should have opened a domiciliary account and submitted its details to your Adsense account. But I doubt if your bank will agree to decline that transaction. If I were you, I'll accept my loss for now and work hard to get my domiciliary account before the next payment date. No bank will accept that national ID slip from you. When I needed my domiciliary account back then, I had to invest in getting an international passport, which cost me N27,000. That's the only widely accepted ID that you can get in one day here in Nigeria. And it has served many other purposes for me since then. Better yet, if you have a trusted friend or relative who has a domiciliary account, you can submit their account details to your Adsense account and have your earnings sent there. But bear in mind that your access to your own money would hinge on the person's readiness to help you go to the bank for the withdrawal and, more importantly, the person's trustworthiness. So, your best bet is to get your own account ASAP. |
