Spinojaja26:I can teach you all you need to know. But for a start, follow the link in my signature, and download the free ebook on the next page. That ebook will enlighten you about the basics of online business and how it works. After reading it, get in touch with me, and we can move on from there. |
prettyboi1989:Nairaland is a free-for-all forum where anyone can contribute anything pulled from anywhere. That's a hallmark of all online forums. When you create a blog and call yourself a blogger, the original idea is for you to address things from a fresh perspective. There's nothing wrong with copying other people's information, adding your own opinion and turning them into something unique. Of course, most successful bloggers don't say new things; they only present already known things from a unique angle. Have you ever wondered why some people buy 4 to 5 different newspapers daily, despite the fact that they would report the same news and events? It's because the readers love to read from different angles, and that's how professional blogging should be done. Whoever can't stand out with his/her writing or ideas has no business with blogging! And it's no surprise that such people rarely succeed at it. |
Good one. Most aspiring bloggers of today can't wait for 2 years to start earning. They want to start earning from blogging within two weeks. And in a desperate bid to make that happen, they do all sorts of bulls.hit: spreading false news, using fake headlines, posting porn and other lewd content, copying and pasting directly from other blogs, and posting pesky excerpts of their blog posts on NL, expecting loyal Nairalanders to click through (of course, such threads get flocked with those amusing "la click la bend" comments. Hehehe. |
blackboy2star:Please desist from criticizing what you don't know about. Asero-Obantoko road is a Federal road. The Abeokuta-Ibadan expressway starts from Adatan junction towards Car Wash and Asero axis. That's why the state government isn't doing anything to it, especially since the FG doesn't want states to touch its roads. Come to think of it, who in his right senses would renovate a less busier Mokola-Ilugun road and abandon Obantoko road? It's a federal road, so direct your complaints to Fashola. |
DBANJEX:Not in all cases. How many times have you seen a Gucci shirt on Dangote? |
So far, UNIBEN remains the cheapest. |
Amberon11:Don't make baseless assertions here. Just share links just as I did. And if you can't be objective, just swerve off. No be only epidemic, na pandemic. |
Amberon11:Please desist from making shitty statements out of pure hate! Google is your friend. Why not do a quick search on worldwide rape statistics and see the number of Muslim countries among the top contenders. Look at the articles that rank the Top 10 Countries in the World with the Highest Rape Rates and tell me how many of them included a single muslim country. Personally, I found only one that included Pakistan. Only Pakistan of all the many muslim countries -- and even just one article included them, while others didn't. Now, let me help you. Here are some links: http://bewitter.com/countries-with-highest-rape-crime-in-the-world-2017/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_statistics http://gazettereview.com/2017/03/top-10-countries-highest-rape-crime-rates/ http://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/stats/Crime/Violent-crime/Rapes-per-million-people So, be duly enlightened. Now, I never implied that Muslim countries are saints. I only detested your baseless claim that rape is an "epidemic" in the Muslim world. That's a huge one. Learn how to get your facts right. |
mrsage:Download the free ebook in my signature. It will teach you how blogging works and all the basics you need to know about it. Then read all posts on my blog that are about blogging, and you'd be good to go. As far as blogging is concerned, choosing the right niche is the most important of the first steps. Get it wrong, and you'd fail at blogging. I can help you decide the best niche from among the options you're considering. |
EntMirror:Simple English, you can't comprehend. The link in my signature redirects to a FREE ebook. And the blog it leads to is not even among my affiliate niche sites. I've wasted enough time with you. Just swerve!! |
EntMirror:I'm only interested in this statement of yours, which proves not just your ignorance but also your resistance to knowledge. You love to generalize and make blanket statements based on your limited knowledge and experience. Well, just so you know, I've been making money as an affiliate marketer since 2014. And I've been into various schemes from Markethealth to web hosting affiliate programs, to Jumia and Konga affiliate programs, and Amazon affiliate program, which I'm focusing majorly on at the moment. I just cashed my earnings for last month from the program ($1750) 2 days ago. So, if you've failed at it, or you've landed in the hands of fake self-proclaimed affiliate marketers who only sell shitty ebooks that only scratch Clickbank and nonsense programs by the surface and teach old-school techniques that don't work, know that it's your own experience. Rather, affiliate marketing is bliss ... far better than Google Adsense. I earn from both, so I know. Bottom line: Stop making generalist statements based on your own experience. No matter how much you think you know, you'll always be a learner to many other people out there. So, don't ever say it again that affiliate marketing doesn't work. Don't!! |
ElizaVeta:Thanks for the additional exposition. I guess he's still basking in the euphoria of his "N100k within 2 months". It's left to him to agree or not. I've been blogging since 2012 and I run at least 6 money-spinning blogs at the moment. But he just started out. I think he'd soon realise how inconsistent freelance earnings can be and that passive income channels like Adsense and affiliate marketing are the real deal. At this point, I'd stop the argument. Seems you already knew him more than I do ![]() |
What do you mean by playing your card well? This isn't rocket science bro. Play it well and get it well.. If you play your card well and yet, no positive outcome, then you're doing something wrong. One thing with online business is, get something wrong and watch the whole process fail. What I mean is that there are times you do everything correctly, and perfectly and you still won't get the results you expected due to the dynamism of the online business game. Most pro bloggers understand this, and that's why they always place disclaimers on their blogs. There are times in the past when I achieved success with a blog in a niche, and another blog created in the same niche failed to make headway even with all strategies replicated exactly as is. This happens in both online and offline business. There are times you'd do exactly what you yourself did earlier or what someone else did, and you won't get the same results. The replica might achieve bigger success, and it might end us as a failure! For the first time, I agree with you. It's necessary to do keyword research before sitting down to write an article. But this shouldn't be a restriction when writing. Are you writing for Google, or for humans? There's a chance that all your readers won't come from Google. Refusing to write an article because the keywords, whether long or short are competitive is unwise. Focus on your readers and you won't struggle at all.. They won't even have to find you anymore through google.. They have you on speed dial already.I never stated that keywords have to restrict your writing. In fact, if you writer for search engine bots alone, you'd get your fingers burned. But even at that, I have blogs earning solely from SEO, and they're grossing over a thousand dollars monthly. Offer a content of value and you will reap the result. Fvck google keywords.Don't be myopic. Google keywords is what forms the basis of the success of many pro bloggers I know. I have at least 3 blogs right now that are each earning hundreds of dollars monthly, and are modeled around specific Google keywords. So, the fact that you don't know much about how it works doesn't mean you should discredit it. I still maintain my stand, making money within three months is easy. The problem most bloggers face is HOW? If you can pass this stage of HOW, then you're on your way to making money online. If I got the cash through freelance, isn't it the same making money from my blog? It's been up to a month I got accepted into Adsense and my earnings are enormous. The secret is, know what you're going into and you won't struggle to make a dime..Yes, I'm telling you it's only realistic through the means I already explained. What I'm trying to tell you is that it's not in all cases that you can start earning within 6 months. The word "enormous" is subjective and anyone can throw that around. I also have a high traffic blog (Alexa around 60K) that earns thousands of dollars monthly. Problem with most bloggers is this, they delve into blogging without any knowledge.. There's a different between experimentation, and being in business. You can take a year and do your experiments, but when it gets to business in blogging, it shouldn't take you more than 3 months to earn money. If you really understand business, you'd know that experimentation is an integral part of it. Seasoned online marketers don't downplay A/B testing, which is the most common form of experimentation done in online business. That you're experimenting doesn't mean you're not in business. You experiment to test the waters of expansion or diversification. Lemme say this again.. I have made enormous already since I placed Adsense about a month ago.. I don't do affiliate.. I doubt if it works at all.. Earning reasonably from Adsense is traffic. If you know about marketing, you don't need paid ads or promotion to start seeing tremendous views.. If you play your ball well, you would have build a huge community within six months. You doubt if affiliate works at all. That's because you really don't know how to make it work. The same affiliate marketing has been fetching me over $1000 for months now. And I can show you screenshots of my Amazon affiliate account. So, this clearly shows that no one can make a blanket statement as far as online business is concerned. Remember, I once corrected you when you stated with certitude that ANYONE can start earning millions from palm oil business with 4 months (or so)? That's a huge claim, just like your statement that making money online within 3 months runs true for everyone. Here you just confirmed my statement by stating "within six months", which is obviously longer than "within 3 months". It's all down to traffic and monetization strategies. |
EntMirror:Even for business, it's not in all cases that you start earning within 3 months or less. As for your statement that making money is easy. I disagree with you. One of the harshest realities about online business is that there are no guarantees. There are times you'll play all your cards right and your blog still won't make headway for reasons you can't explain. I've experimented with that severally, and I know my onions as far as blogging is concerned. I agree with you that blogging isn't all about SEO. But SEO in this age isn't about being aggressive about keywords. And in fact, keyword stuffing no longer works. But then, you can rank a post without having keywords in mind for real. And you can claim to rank for some keywords. The question is, which keywords? I can guarantee you that they are low competition keywords with little monthly search volume. If you disagree, you can provide few keywords, and I'll fetch you the monthly search volumes and competition strength. In short, your assertion that earning from a blog within 3 months is easy is wrong in most cases. You only achieved that because you monetized through freelancing. Who doesn't know that freelancing is the quickest way to start making money online? And you don't even need a blog for that. When I was still working as a freelance writer, I got my first client the within 3 days, and started earning decently from the first month. If you'd decided to bank on monetization strategies like Adsense and affiliate marketing, you sure won't make money that quickly unless you spend some cash on ads and other promo campaigns or you already built a massive followership even before launching your blog. If you doubt this, start counting from today how long it would take to start earning $100 consistently from Adsense or affiliate marketing. |
EntMirror:Bros, so what do you have to say about Linda Ikeji who didn't earn a dime from blogging until after 3 years. Most pro bloggers didn't achieve success that early. Aside your niche, dedication, and hard work, another important factor that determines how soon you'll start earning is your traffic strategy. For SEO, it takes nothing less than 6 months to start seeing tangible results. For some, it takes even longer. |
sunnysunny69:That's why you should always do the right thing at all times, so that when things go wrong, you won't have played into the hands of enemies you never knew you had. If only the poultry owner had repaired his fence, no one would point fingers at him now. Or would they say the odour from his poultry farm electrocuted the casualty? |
While scouring the education section earlier in the day, I stumbled on a shi.tty post, in which the OP listed the universities in the country that charge the least school fees. Going through that list, I saw the the cheapest university fees according to the OP is around N21,000. That's gross misinformation! I'm a UNILAG student, and my school fees last session was N18,500. Someone else on that thread who is an ABU student also added that his last school fees was just N19,000. I've created this thread so we can get the facts right. So, just like I already did, tell us the name of your school and how much exactly you last paid as school fees. This will help indigent admission seekers make the right decisions. |
My school fees last session was less than N19,000, yet UNILAG isn't even in the top 10. Myopic, shitty posts everywhere! |
taiwofawole:Whoever told you that buying Yoast SEO Premium would fetch you top rankings is an i.diot. All Yoast SEO does is to ensure that you've left no stone unturned when doing on-page or on-site optimization. Nothing more. But your chances of ranking prominently in SERPs depend largely on factors like the level of competition for your target keywords, the uniqueness and length of your content, and the total number of backlinks pointing to your domain. Even without an SEO plugin, you can rank prominently if you play your cards right. So, get back to learn more about SEO and do the right things. |
After comparing both articles, I figured that all what you did for the most part of your article was paraphrase the article on Wealthresult. And the truth about plagiarism is, it's not enough to change someone else's words -- you must give them credit in as much as the idea came from them. Whether Google or any authorities would be right to penalize your blog if the guy goes ahead to report is something I'm not sure of. But when next you write articles, try to credit some of the source you consulted while crafting it. That adds credibility to your blog and your personality. The only person who can write that kind of post without necessarily searching the web is someone who has been in the palm oil business and has made money from it for years. If that doesn't describe you, then you certainly must be gotten the info from other sources, which you should have cited, regardless of whether you have used their sentences word-for-word or you change them to your own words. Even pro bloggers don't forget to do that. While going through your post, I saw the line which read, "Earning a substantial amount, that is N1million in your first four months is guaranteed." And I was like, "Whaaaooo!" You see, in business, you don't give guarantees -- no matter how lucrative it might seem. There is more to success in any business than just following some articles online. Most of those articles don't reveal the real-life realities that come with such businesses. The word "guaranteed" is a heavy word that you shouldn't just throw around anyhow. What you implied by that sentence is that ANYONE/ EVERYONE who starts the palm oil business would earn N1 million in four months. Isn't that a huge one? |
yek:I guess it's one of those Police command schools. |
Omzie:This one just weak me. |
blantyre:And they would have "dived" into the conclusion that the victims were Christians. |
abhosts:I don't agree with you. During GEJ's regime, there were no restrictions, and dollar price didn't fly upwards. |
TheSexyChic:She didn't get it for free. She clearly stated in one of her videos that she usually gets the device from an authorized outlet on the condition that it must be returned after she's through with her review. And that's the common thing. Only very cheap devices are given to reviewers for free, not stuffs like this. |
femi4:Now, you're digressing from the root of our argument. What I'm telling you is about the full meaning of iOS. Whether it extends to other devices or not, the word phone isn't part of the meaning. That's why Apple deleted the word later on, as the OS had to extend beyond phones. As for Android laptops, they haven't been widely accepted yet. When they are, the root definition of the word "Android" would be devised. Mind you, some people regard laptops as mobile devices based on the fact that they are also mobile and portable. |
femi4:Oga, the word "phone" is not part of the full meaning, since that would mean it's restricted to their phones. Meanwhile, same iOS runs on iPads and iPods, not just phones. Read the Wikipedia entry on iOS to get more enlightened. |
femi4:That even shows how daft you are. You already saw a post explaining that i stands for interactive, and you still went ahead to give a different answer. Why did you say iOS means "iPhone operating system" when you already agreed that the i stands for interactive? Do you need a tutorial to understand that iOS means "interactive operating system"? Now, you can see who the olodo is. |
femi4:You're also wrong. The small letter "i" that starts Apple's products and software packages stands for "interactive". So, iPhone means interactive phone, iOS means interactive operating system, and iPad means interactive pad. If iOS stands for iPhone operating system, as you stated then the OS should run only on iPhones and not on their tabs and PCs. |
And what does anyone stand to gain from showing fake views. Traffic can't be faked. A blog with lots of traffic is usually popular, so people can tell you're fake when your unknown blog claims to generate millions of page views. Besides, nobody trusts plugin stats. Advertisers would ask to see Google Analytics screenshots of your so-called traffic. That's the standard everywhere. Let me see how you'll fake Google Analytics figures. |
