Donkenzy47:Unfortunately, if you don't have an ID, you'll get stuck. So, your best bet is to go with a host that has a more straightforward sign up process. I would recommend e-host. Use the discount link (my affiliate link) on howtocreateablog.org. |
You go fear domain name na. |
Shobayojontech:Just so you know, the same rules that apply to articles apply to music files--audio or video. You need to take down those music files before Google does the worst. If your web hosting gets involved, your site would RIP. Sites that share music files get copyright approval from artistes, and they pay heavily for that. If you can't tread the legal route, you have no business uploading other people's music on your site. |
No doubt, both are great companies. But bear in mind that most reviews you'll find online were written by shills who want to promote their own affiliate links. I've been with Hostgator since 2013, and I've had no single issue with them. I have over 10 sites on my Baby plan, and their service and uptime have been outstanding. They keep backups for free and their support staff are responsive. And unlike Bluehost, they allow for monthly payment, which I've always opted for. As for Bluehost, I've never used them, but I've read a lot of good reviews about them, mostly written by affiliate marketers. One thing I know for sure about both companies is that they have a strict approval policy against Nigerians. So, signing up with them using a Nigerian ATM card can be a big issue because they'll request for stuffs like a photo of the ATM card and a scanned copy of your government-issued ID. And just so you know, their services ain't cheap! Get ready to spend at least N22000 per annum. |
victorazy:Calm down. Noise is an integral part of every car, and there's no way a car won't make noise. But noise is not an integral part of religion, and religion can be perfectly practised without necessarily making noise. Or you want to tell me you MUST make noise to worship your God? |
As for setting up a self-hosted Wordpress blog, it's something you can do yourself if you choose to. I have put up a free tutorial at http://howtocreateablog.org and that would be all you need to set it up successfully on your own. Secondly, depending on what you need it for, a website might not be necessary, as you can use the blog to serve it's purpose. |
kayo80:I have a friend (Nigerian), who makes millions of Naira every month from affiliate marketing. He promotes foreign web hosting services. That's where the money is. Imagine getting paid $110 per sale. |
Jum.ia Konga Jiji Kay.mu Don't mind the dots. I used them to beat the overzealous bots. |

Someone here doesn't undefined the difference between a blog and and forum. |
SmartChoices:Sorry, what makes an IDP camp a Christian camp? |
Rivers is now fast becoming one of the most dangerous states in Nigeria. |
With this gesture, this man is somehow diluting the hatred I used to have for him. |
Boybreezy:And you have the receipts, right? |
doubleportion:Please use Google to get your facts right! |
So, was it the media that reported false information initially? |
If you know how to play your cards right, affiliate marketing is far better than Adsense. |
This is why the social media bill should see the light of the day. Some cretinous foo.ls like this OP should be fanning themselves in a cell by now. |
cyberwaver:SEO is dying? And who is killing it? If you know how much smart individuals and companies and companies even here in Nigeria are spending on it, you'll know it's just the real deal. Only those don't know how it evolves would say it's dying or dead. As for your claim that I'm ranking due to domain authority, how come I'm ranking higher than older sites for some keywords? FYI, I have two newly developed niche sites (both less than2 months old) already ranking on front page for their respective target keywords. What do you have to say to that? There's more to ranking than domain authority, I've been in the SEO game for over 3 years now. |
cyberwaver:Yes, SEO doesn't yield expected results all the time. But I can give you 100 keywords my site is ranking on top 3 in Google for. Note: I'm not talking about the site in my signature; that's not optimized maximally for SEO. And no SEO isn't about doing new things randomly. It has protocols. PS. When I said my site is ranking for keywords, I was talking about keywords with huge search volumes per month, not keywords like "DSTV missing channels" that attract less than 20 searches per month (according to the Google Keyword Planner). |
Yorubas would say, "Ikunle kii se iwa". (Meaning: Kneeling down for everyone doesn't necessarily depict good character). |
Hmmm. This is terrible. That amount is enough to feed some people for weeks. Why is First Bank this cruel? |
cyberwaver:I can bet it with you that your ranking for that keyword was a fluke. Your page wasn't really well optimized for the keyword, but it ranked because there's really no competition for the keyword. If that's what made you think you've become an "SEO coach", I think you still have a lot to learn. |
Google has its way of knowing the original owner of any blog content. It usually gives that to the first blog on which that content is indexed. So, there shouldn't be anything to worry about as regards Adsense. |
femi4:So, you can ruin their careers as usual? |
MilesLamar:It didn't eat it. So, it didn't see the goat as food. If it did, it would have eaten it since long ago. |
litetias:Oga, I'm talking about players who've had great careers there. |
kalus02:I'm talking about players who have had full-blown blossoming careers here. |
Good for them. Nice to see a Nigerian at Arsenal since Kanu. |
ministeriallist:Great ideas. You'd be surprised at the demand for information on how to break those habits in the global front. |

Go and build your Islamic camp...ok, then forward a formal request through the relevant authorities....
