Those who looted Nigeria can't be forced to release the money they are withholding so it has to fall on the masses to keep their money in the system, where arbitrary taxes can be imposed at will to pay off those debts. Very reminiscent of MMM before the collapse.

But I want to add for people liking this my post that, it's pretty a recent development, not to take away from C. Ronaldo's contribution in the past. Now he's just pushing it. I think the pressure people put on him (or he does to himself) to always score and perform really gets to him. But, this team can do better without expecting so much from him.

And the rivalry to get one over the other makes them better. Besides, the smaller teams in South America command respect at least to some degree when other teams play against them because of Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.

Actually, they left their former confederation (oceania) because it wasn't giving them the competition they needed. Back then, they will almost always win their championships. It was only New Zealand (and Fiji?) that gives them a challenge. They would love to join Europe but for logistics.
