Most African currencies are worthless because we do not rely on manufacturing for earning revenue.

Countires like Japan, China and in the good old days Germany, have strong currencies because they are reliant on manufacturing, which means they can set their prices of what they sell, and earn a lot of dollars.Currency buffered.

Countries like Nigeria, Ghana and Malawi export raw materials, whose prices are set by a central amorphous body somewhere in London or Paris or New York, and said prices never ever favor us. So, we don't earn dollars, and we end up with weak currencies...no dollars to buffer the currency.

Above is also why we are short on dollars all the time.

Well Ghana is now trying to survive by moving into manufacturing and pegging their currency to gold after being plunged into the dire situation right now. Maybe Nigeria is also waiting to go into hyperinflation before they do something.

Well, I know that majority of Nigerians are not brilliant enough to know what this means.

Nobody EVER said you cant withdraw above limits. Infact, there has been cash withdrawal limits for years now. CBN just simply updated lowered it to a point that everyone will notice.

Ever since i packed into my new house, my landlady and her daughter have been disturbing my life one way or the other.

One day, I gave my landlady 10kg of mama gold rice which was given to me at my place of work and then the following morning she called me and asked me to lend her 10k.

In a country where people can't save and receive savings interest because of lots of things to pay for and for some owed salaries. Yet, without anything to increase the people's earning ability, like electricity generation for instance, they are still going further to force everyone to have their money in the banking system so that they can have more money to take from people. At least having and spending cash was free and people who see the handwriting on the wall, won't trust to keep their value in the banking system where it would be eroded. But I know that those people who keep supporting this either do not see this or are part of the largesse. I laugh at the ignorant ones who say it will help fight corruption in a country where the very check systems are corrupt. No wonder everyone who knows how gullible Nigerians are wants to be a politician. I understand it now.
