TV/MoviesFormer ‘general Hospital’ Actor Johnny Wactor Killed In Downtown L. A Shooting by Welrez(op): 12:42pm On May 27, 2024
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Former “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor was shot and killed when he interrupted thieves stealing the catalytic converter from his car in Los Angeles, his family said Sunday.

The shooting occurred around 3 a.m. Saturday when the victim approached three men in downtown LA, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

His mother, Scarlett Wactor, told ABC 7 that her 37-year-old son had left work at a rooftop bar with a coworker when he saw someone at his car and thought it was being towed. A mask-wearing suspect opened fire, his mother said.
Three suspects drove away from the scene, police said. Wactor was rushed to a hospital, where he died.

There were no arrests as of late Sunday.
Wactor’s agent, David Shaul, said the actor was “a real moral example to everyone who knew him.”
“In the highs and lows of a challenging profession he always kept his chin up and kept striving for the best he could be,” Shaul said in a statement Sunday. “Our time with Johnny was a privilege we would wish on everyone. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. After over a decade together, he will leave a hole in our hearts forever.”
Wactor portrayed Brando Corbin on the ABC soap opera from 2020 to 2022. He also appeared in a variety of films and TV series, including “Station 19,” “NCIS,” “Westworld” and the video game “Call of Duty: Vanguard.”

Seriously if only dis man knows d effect that malaria vaccine will have in Africa, in Nigeria especially, he won't talk dis way.... If he was alive during d small pox era, he would have said d vaccine is fake as well....
After misleading your congregation, you'll go abroad for check up

Many of us dat have lost siblings and loved ones to malaria will gladly take d vaccine
My problem is, these pastors have no answers to these problems that vaccines want to solve other than telling people to pray and believe, which has not solved anything. Skepticism is welcomed in science, not misinformation especially from folk who knows next to nothing about science.
CelebritiesRe: Shade Ladipo Reveals Why She Doesn't Want To Have Children(vid) by Welrez(m):
The profound ignorance and bigotry displayed by some folk in this thread are appalling. Science has made it possible for even women without wombs to still have kids. Having kids is fine and not having kids is still fine. It seems some folk believe that having kids is a must since we are giving birth as well. No. It is not compulsory. And having kids to help look after one in old age is at best selfish. None of our beliefs is excellent. Respect the decisions of others.

Africans were told that their gods were inferior to Middle Eastern gods.

Worse, Africans now say they worship the gods better than their slave masters.

Muslims & Christians are both guilty.

If I become President today, first thing I will cancel is state sponsored pilgrimage. If you can't afford to go to Mecca / Jerusalem with personal funds or philanthropic donations...you're not going with Government money.

2ndly, those who refuse to pay taxes but gullibly pay tithes... I would come for them next. Churches would be heavily taxed.

More worship centers than industries is one of the reasons we are where we are. Same people who sit in front rows, shouting to God are the worst embezzlers and criminals. So what's the point ?

Nigerian professors are not adding any value to the nation.

The ones at the medical field, ordinary vaccine for malaria, they can't produce yet they're the loudest.

The ones at Mechanical engineering can't even change their car oil without the help of a roadside mechanic.

Na only to sell textbooks, speak big big grammar and rig elections for politicians dem sabi. Nonsense!
Take your anger elsewhere. How many publications of these professors have you read? Do you know their contributions to academics and to Nigeria? How many ideas of these professors has Nigeria cared to utilise? The problem is systemic!

Useless agbaya elder. Saying yahoo is sustaining the Nigerian economy is crass ignorance. Nigerian Cocoa farmers alone export hundreds of millions of dollars worth of Cocoa yearly and it is legitimate a business. Even foodstuff exporters bring in more money than accursed Yahoo criminals.

Look at this clown blaming government for the Yahoo epidemic. Do yahoo boys stop scamming when they find themselves in wealthy countries with massive legitimate job opportunities? A thief is a thief. Stop justifying criminality.

Yahoo is a net negative to Nigeria because more has been lost in economic opportunities due to the bad reputation yahoo boys have given Nigerians. Have you seen how Nigerian Freelancers are discriminated against?
I think his tone will change if he becomes a victim of yahoo yahoo!

PoliticsRe: Nigerian Army And Fulani Community Trade Accusations Over Killings In Kachia by Welrez(m):
I learned from a friend who was recently released from the dungeon of kidnappers in Kaduna State that these kidnappers now make their dungeons look like civilian settlements by bringing in their families, who freely mingle with victims. Sometimes, they invade tiny settlements and blend with them. This makes it nearly impossible for the military to invade and rescue victims since the use of force might lead to the death of innocent people.

I feel your pain but it seems you guys are not serious enough. Only the oil will not do, who will supply the cables and pay Nepa to send engineers to fix what some useless youth from your area destroyed?

Despite the way we fight nepa in my area in Lagos, once light spoil we quickly gather enough money and provide the necessary fix. Despite the fact that Lagos is crowded transformer in my hood are always fenced with a lock. Someone among the CDA official has the key to the transformer.
Then for areas like yours i think barb wire and security alarm is needed not only fencing the transformer.
I think now that Nepa is privately own, if the youth in your area steal all the cables na look nepa go dey look una. Area wey train their youth to act civil na im go see light grin grin grin grin grin
We have bought both the oil and armoured cable, it is the officials who have refused to turn up to fix it. We have a transformer supervisor in our area, but I think we need to take the idea of having a barbed wire fence or iron-fence with a lock a try.

Ours is 2 mths now,had issues with them initially and while we were concluding settlement, some idiots vandalized the transformer. We have bought the missing items,ọya come and install ,we are coming is now 2 mths old.

Nigeria is a terrible place.
I done run generator till I no come know who dey run who. We were battling low voltage before the vandals struck. Too many wahala! How I wish we all would drop our transformer challenges with areas and make this thread a frontpage material for electricity regulators and EDCs to see.
PoliticsElectricity Issues by Welrez(op): 6:29pm On Dec 10, 2023
I am compelled by a sense of despondency to create this thread to see if this issue can finally get to the ears of the electricity distribution companies in the country, especially the PortHarcourt Electricity Distribution Company. For more than three months now, we have not had power supply in my part of Uyo because we were told vandals stole our transformer oil and the armored cable. The community concerned rallied around and bought the oil and the cable, but PHEDC officials have not installed them up till today. I no longer understand the issues causing the refusal of the electricity company officials to fix the transformer.
This narrative is the same in so many places across Akwa Ibom State as a friend who lives at Ikot Abia, Eket, told me they are facing the same issue. The prolonged power outage has grounded the economic activities of the area and has raised the price of goods and services as businesses have to rely on fuel to stay afloat. What does it take to fix a transformer that will delay it for three months or more? Are the residents expected to repair and maintain electricity infrastructure in their areas? PHEDC, there are so many dysfunctional transformers in Uyo and Eket waiting for repair and maintenance and nothing has been done. Does it not affect your profit?

Fubara can say whatever TF he likes.....it doesn't change what i said! All that's happening is the conituation of attempts at teritorial expansion by the main Ijaw ethnicity that's largely confined and domicilled in present day Bayelsa state! Unfortunately, there are some within Opobo, Bonny, etc, and even Ikwerre, that have either been deceived or bullied into accepting a new post-'66 anti-Igbo narrative as to their ethnic identity and origins!

Oh....and by the way, i'm from Rivers state as well! A proud and full-blooded Igbo man from Ndoni! You can't try your anti-Igbo revisionist agenda on me mate!
The Ijaw largely confined and domiciled in present-day Bayelsa State? The Ijaw Local Government Areas in Rivers, Delta, Edo, and Ondo, considered collectively, are more than the size of Bayelsa State. Ignorance is bliss!
