This is one reason why we should appreciate leaders who conduct credible elections anywhere in the world, even though the role of a participatory educated electorate can't be over-emphasized. |
Pardon me if this is the wrong forum for this question. I was reading Chinua Achebe's The Trouble With Nigeria where he said on page 40 that it was not yet one million days since Christ was on earth. This is easy to know since a simple arithmetics will yield the answer. Where I got lost was when he went further to say that it was not even half-a-million days! I feel it was more than half-a-million days btw the death of Christ and when Achebe published his book in 1983. I also know that the change from the Julian Calendar (instituted by Julius Caesar after the conquer of Egypt in 45 BC) to the Gregorian Calendar in 1582 didn't touch the number of days in a year, after the rename of Sextilis to August by emperor Augustus and adding of one day to it to make it equal to July (named after Julius Caesar) by the reduction of days in February from 29/30 to 28/29. I would be happy if someone can clarify it for me. Happy Sunday. cc: lalasticlala, ishilove |
Reminds me of the one in my office who always embrace me with full boobs. I feel like urinating in her embrace sometimes. |
foura:Nobody stops you and your ilk from being happy. I just wish you and your kindred can retrieve your brains detained in the past to face the present. The days of writing and launching a book in the heat of elections and producing bogus corruption figures are gone, for it is completed. The past is too heavy for your delicate hearts! Move on. |
Now I know that foolishness has no age limit. |
Two wrongs can't make a right, they should talk it over though. |
Don't stress yourselves over a girl. Just focus on your dreams and see them streaming in in time. |
I've read the article, hoping to have something to say, but now have nothing to say. |
Expected! |
Economic reasons alone are inadequate to explain the enduring existence of prostitution in our society. There are poor women who have bluntly refused to be compromised. Sometimes the explanation lurks in hereditary as well as prevailing value system and permissible nature of the society towards prostitution. There are people endowed with more libido than others and when such people meet with the less endowed, prostitution becomes inevitable. We have prostitutes of circumstances. |
OP, thanks for raising these salient points. The craze for sex is quite overwhelming these days which makes your article a must read for all singles. The funny thing is that few realise that sex is over-hyped and not really what we think it is. |
The rise in self-service. |
It is a virus from the grave; a unique infection caused by our intrepidity to disturb even the dead. It reminds me of SARS! |
It's a good idea that will not be implemented! |
If they like, let them have all political offices. We are still ahead of them. |
It is not by political might nor by false population figures! |
I've thought it so all along to enable the APC to win the election. It was glaring to the APC that they were going to lose the elections. APC may not be that lucky next time. |
quivah:What is so funny about the OP? |
Dump a Bayelsan girl to see how she rolls her buttocks rhythmically before you. |
I dispute the one about literary gems though. I think South Africa is ahead of us in that area. |
OP, I think I like your idea. The man atop me smokes weed, I swear. |
How can I develop my sense of humour? I thought it was congenital. |
Do you wish to know your integrity as a man? Get married. Just get married! |
wakacome:It's quite embarrassing for a lawyer to flunk in English, especially in court. It's akin to a physicist getting his maths wrong. |
LAGrejectIBO:When and how did Bayelsa come into this your vicious equation? Ignorance is so confident. I doubt if you have an in-depth understanding of what you are dealing with. |
That is what we call 'legal grammatical mishap', lols |
I'm between black and brown, lols |
Those who think they can't be deceived are easier to deceive. Women think themselves so. |
I would advise we should be scared of girlfriend-less girls for they are likely to turn into possessive gfs in relationships. |
Being a husband material goes far beyond this. Sex is not everything in a marriage. |
