Throughout my teenage years I never indulged in anything that is remotely considered as youthful exuberances. No parties.. No hangouts.. No rebellion.. No fun.. No girls.

I'm what you'll consider as a pretty decent kid. Been always studious and devote. I felt those stuff were distractions and a waste of time. so I was always buried in books and church activities.

Recently I've been having a strange feeling of emptiness. I read up some books and most suggested that lack of love/companionship can be a major reason for feelings of emptiness.

It then dawned on me that I've never asked a girl out in my entire life. I've never dated. I never thought it was a big deal and I pretty enjoy my company alone. I assumed I'll get a girl when am ready for marriage. But hey... I don't even know if I'll be alive that long (tomorrow isn't guaranteed).

I've recently been feeling very lonely .. do you think it's a problem I've never experienced relationship with a girl at my age? I'll be 23 next year.

I don't care about intimacy cus you can easily get that without dating no body.

Guy.......take this advice very seriously. My Pastor gave it to me when i was 15. There is absolutely no need to get involved with any woman on intimate/girlfriend/dating levels until you are ready to get married within the next 1 -2 years. I am married now and that was one of the best advice i had ever received. Marriage/ or a woman wont solve your loneliness. You need to be completely comfortable with yourself. Focus on your goals and drive at them. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you. It does not mean you cannot hangout with good friends and do fun stuff. But be careful who you call a friend. In the next 10 years, you will understand what i am talking about. But consider my advice. You can have good female friends with nothing attached until you are ready to really settle down. Another thing, if you can, try not to share your body with anyone except your wife. Anybody you sleep with never ever leaves your life. Its a spiritual act and spiritual things cannot be wiped off by just a hot bath. These are things i cant fully explain but you dont have a spare life. Many things people call fun these days are just a total waste of time. Finally, find a mentor. Someone who has gone ahead of you and has more experience than you.

Please I need your help.

Since i gained admission into the university(2yrs ago) I've been a porn addict.

I have always tried to stop this but to no avail.

I need your help, because this problem has crept into my social life. I always try to avoid people, I stay isolated and also my academics, ever since I started watching porn my academics has since taken a downward turn.

Do the following with as ruthless a zeal as possible if you really want to be free:

1. Sell your smart phone immediately and get one that only has access to only radio and touchlight. This is funny but it is seriously. What about friends on BB, waz app, Facebook, twitter etc? Where will they be your life is thoroughly messed up!
2. Sell your laptop or Ipad. Run away from any device that gives you access to Internet connection that cannot be viewed by anyone else.

These 1st 2 points are so so crucial, you cant imagine..Get away from the Internet by all means necessary.....

3. Being baptized in the Holy spirit is helpful if you will only pray in the spirit at least 30 mins a day. Get addicted to it
4. Start doing exercises that stretch and strengthen your will power.....even if it is press-up......start today and increase it daily.......day and night. All other exersises that may be painful at the start but makes you push yourself to do what you would ordinarily not want to do. The idea is that your will is weak to stop what you want to stop. You need to build your mental will power like any other muscle and exercises help a lot.
5. Do 5 things daily that build your willpower. eg. if you are a football freak, deliberately miss out on a football game that you would normally die to watch.......look for things that would need will power to do and do them. Make a habit of building your will power
6. Buy the book : The Power of Habit...by Charles Duhigg...........it teaches on how habits work and how to break bad ones buy altering the scientifically proven habit loop
7. Get your bible and dive into it. Be a Bible freak. Get devotionals.Meditate, pray, read, study. eat it. The word of God contains the life of God..........it will drive away the darkness of that addiction as you get addicted to it. It never fails.
8. Eliminate situations where you have to be alone. Build your daily schedule in a way where you don't have time to be alone. eg. wake-up, devotion, jog, press-up, classes,library,classes,lunch,fellowship, workers meeting, tutorial classes, football match, library,dinner, bed with your nokia 3310 phone.
9. Fasting: Nothing works like it. Fasting while studying the bible and praying your heart out will break the cycle.
10. Finally......you need to sit down, get a cold drink and ask yourself this question : HOW BADLY DO I WANT TO STOP THIS? If you want to stop it badly enough, you will take all the 10 points above seriously. I wish you knew what's happening behind the curtains when you watch pornography.

The truth is that the management know that I cannot lie. There are some activities (Dance Parties etc) even in the firm that everyone know me for who I am and know I will not involve.

I just think that is the way out. You did not Lie. You went to the bank, did your banking transaction and you came back after wards. If it is a long interview, book an appointment with your ward at the hospital, go there, see a doctor and do your thing. For me its just the smartest way out and your conscience is still clear. And dont tell them before hand, do what you have to do and explain when you are back.

I read with passion the last thread on the various excuses given in order to attend job interviews in another coy and I wondered what kind of excuse a Christian could give to honour interview invites.

Please I need opinions and experiences from Christians (or Muslims) who consider and see lying as sin and cannot for any reason (even a Shell interview) compromise their faith.

Last year I have had to turn down two invites because I had no means of honouring it. I applied for one and I was poached for the other. Though I did not reschedule the later because I didn't want it. But in scenarios like these, what should a faithful Christian do?

Bros, Christianity does not connote stupidity. When God sent Samuel to anoint David, Samuel told God that Saul the King would kill him if he hears he went to anoint David. God told Saul to go to the town where David's family was and say he has come to sacrifice to the Lord. And then use the oppourtunity to anoint David. And it worked. Samuel went, asked all the old men to accompany him to sacrifice to the Lord in the house of Jesse and there he anointed David. I cant even remember if a sacrifice was eventually done.

Point is: Did God lie? No. Did Samuel Lie: No. All you have to do if you have an Interview is to pray to God to make a way for you to be there. When the day comes: Tell your supervisor you have to go and do a transaction in the bank or you have to take your baby brother for a medical check-up. ENSURE you go to the bank and do a transaction or you book a hospital visit for that day.......then go for the interview. When you are asked where you went to.....You went to do a banking transaction and show them the transaction you went to do.

The truth is that if the Job is truly for you, God will make a way and you would find yourself there. You don't need to lie that you are sick or your father died......except you have plans to be truly sick or to kill your father etc.

If anyone thinks this is dishonest or a lie, try asking God how he performed it in 1st Samuel 16 and 17.

Good evening, my able people. I initially wanted to post this thread on RELIGION section, but on a second thought, I considered it will make more sense to post it here. The issues to be discussed cut across FAMILY and RELIGION, hence my confusion over which section it should be posted.

My wife's been having recurrent nightmares. Seriously, she hardly have a smooth night. Its all screams and screams, and incessant dreams of death hovering around us. We have prayed and fasted, but the dreams keep coming. Whenever I'm on night shift, I'm also worried about her safety back home. Its either she dreams of our kids having serious attacks or herself being under attacks. Its really challenging.

A few weeks ago, we visited a pastor, and after some discussions he suggested we should relocate to another apartment/place. I pretended like I didnt hear him. When we got home, my wife brought the issue up again and I told her we werent going anywhere. I told her we should continue praying and believe God to see us through. We've been in our current apartment for a little over 5 years. Now she says shes no longer comfortable with the house and that we must relocate. Honestly, she hardly enjoys the place. Whether or not it got anything to do with what our pastor told us, I couldnt tell.

Today, she brought it up again. She had gone to see her business colleague, and according to her they zoomed off into religious stuff, and the issue of our house and the bad dreams came up. Of course, her pastor friend also suggested we relocate. A little argument came up and i had to leave the house. I'm typing from the office; night duty things.

My stand is this: being a Christian over a decade, plus knowing the fact relocating to a new place may not necessarily stop the attacks, I still believe we should ask some of our pastors to come over to our house and join us in prayer. I believe a Christian shouldnt run from demonic attacks, but should instead fight back and withstand these foes. Its my belief shaa!

I just renewed our rent for the year a few days ago. But my wife is still insisting we relocate. Her health and happiness, needless to say, is very important to the both of us, and I dont want to appear insensitive and selfish. What should I do? What if she is right? Should I stand my ground? What if I'm wrong? Too many thoughts crossing my mind. That will be the third place we will be relocating to within our axis.

Whats the best way to handle this situation? Please, I will appreciate all meaningful suggestions and advice....

Dear OP.............This is my advice. Light does not need to appeal to darkness to disappear when it arrives. Light means understanding of spiritual truth. Since you have stayed there for 5 years and the attacks just began few weeks ago, the house is not the problem. Get a book that teaches about a Christian's authority over satan and darkness. Let your wife read it and understand it and the problem will disappear like it never existed. I recommend ''SATAN GET LOST'' by Bishop David Oyedepo.. Its about 600 naira If she reads that book, you will never hear of that situation again. Satan will become like a Nylon bag to you and her. I advice that you send her to a hotel for 1 week and let her do personal fasting with her bible......understanding all the passages of the bible the book refers to. God will show her Light and darkness will escape.

At least it is dreams she is having. In my case, 2 Owls were living in the celin of the flat i just paid for. And they made terrible noises by our windows every single night. I almost ran mad. I knew i could not go anywhere. I had to fight the battle. I am sure even those that planted those things there respect me now. Total Silence!

2. Osibanjo's popularity is only in South West. Here in the north people are asking who is Osibanjo? One guy beside me said even Pastor Tunde Bakare would have been better and sellable. The guy feels Tinubu is out to sell the presidency, the way he did with Ribadu.

3.what did they promise Amaechi and Oshiomole that they will use to mobilise South south. ..Party Chairman or Ministers?..Rochas is gone back to face governorship in Imo and be sure that even if he wins the state. Imo will vote GEJ in national elections.

4..who chose the VP? Tinubu or party leadership? And who did GMB want?
5..How far or beneficial is Osibanjo's choice to APCs quest to win power at the center?

Do you see Osibanjo pulling a spinner for APC in southern Nigeria especially SS, SE and SW.

Is his choice a good permutation or self serving to Tinubu to have one of his loyal proteges as vice.

In my opinion, its a bad choice..even Tunde Bakare is more popular.

Lets analyse the choice.

Ok............Good Points but really, its not a bad choice. In the run up to the general elections, PDP's strongest point against Buhari will be his islamist tendencies. APC must have sat down to ask themselves how best they can counter that conversation. Osinbajo is a very senior and influential pastor in RCCG. And make no mistake about it , RCCG is one of the most influential christian bodies in Nigeria. If RCCG is convinced to line up behind Osinbajo.....then it may be easy to pull along other influential christian bodies like Winners, Mountain of Fire, Deeper Life.......and the orthodox churches. PDP are the masters in playing the religious game.................and so picking Osinbajo is a move to check that.
