Ijaay83: A lot have and it's much better doing it that way than sponsoring yourself. They must also write you a very strong recommendation letter. Provide your payslips, tax statements, and job offer letter to buttress your claim. |

YinkusG: You need to work on why you were refused in the first place. If your circumstances on refusal hasn't change, you most probably will be refused again. We're lucky Australia gives reason for refusal, lot of countries don't. Which makes it more difficult when reapplying. Japan doesn't give reason and they won't charge you fees. China is useless. |

leomax10: How did you get the money you will be using to sponsor yourself? Did it come into your account as a lump sum payment? If yes, from whom? What source? You need to clarify your case officer on this otherswise it will be considered as money lodgement which is a huge red flag. |

Mariokasparov1: Depending on the University, a deposit payment of AU $10,000 to $14,000 is payable when you accept your Offer of Admission. This payment is counted as credit towards your tuition fees in the first semester/trimester. After enrolment, you will be invoiced for the balance of your fees in that semester/trimester. You must make that deposit inorder to receive a Certificate Of Enrollment from your University which you will present to your case officer when applying for student visa. 2 Likes |

tochi0155:Most schools require applicants coming from non English speaking countries to submit IELTS result. You will be amazed to know that South Africans have been removed from this list. Well you may want to write a convincing statement as to why you should be exempted from writing IELTS. If the school is happy with it and you're an AL1 applicant, immigration won't ask for IELTS result. 1 Like |

tochi0155: You can ask for waiver from your university. but then, you need to provide them with result of your waec/neco assuming you passed English in flying colors. You also need to provide them with cover letter from the dean of your faculty assuming you already have a first degree back in Nigeria. In your exemption letter let them understand English has always been your medium of studies. You speak English in your family setting and Nigeria was colonized by British hence English is our official language. The structure of your write up will determine if they will grant you waiver. Immigration doesn't have the right to ask for IELTS as they are not the school they have accessed your eligibility unless your school isn't a streamline University. 2 Likes |

PythonTutorial: 37 isn't bad for someone looking at furthering their studies . Australia doesn't worry much about age as long as you have a good reason as to why you want to further your studies or change career. People change careers in Australia alot and people pick up further study along the line. Immigration usually requires about 3monthbto process your application Incase they need to verify your documents. Worse case scenario he will be advised to defer his admission with his school. It's best for you all to apply together if you have the funds for visa processing and living expenses. Getting much harder trying to get the dependants in after arrival. Godspeed |

engrlarex: Do you have family in Australia? I am in Newcastle NSW way. Can be of assistance if you like. Today is holiday in Australia. If you are happy to make payment into my account in Nigeria, I will go to the University of Newcastle to pay your tuition fees. To keep your mind at rest, before you make the payment, I will do a video call with you at a local police station near me and you can have a chat with a police officer if you like. Or if you have an ideas to prove that I am not a scammer let me know. |

AdaFelly: Your closing account isn't really important when a visa office is considering your application or looking at your bank statement. What's really paramount is the flow of cash. How much goes in and out of your account? What do you spend your money on? Let say you're a business person, they know you could invest your money in a new business opportunity that may have presented itself. Like I mentioned earlier, how much goes in and out of your account is very important and what you spend your money on will determine if your sponsor will have enough to look after you while in Australia. |
