In some cases, visitor visas and students sponsored by their home government do come with the No Further Stay Condition. And sometimes at the border, when they have doubt about anyone who is coming in on a business visas they do issue 8503 condition too.

becky4real:
Hollo lovelies, please a sister needs an urgent response. I want to know if anyone here has seen a study visa with a eagerly Conditon on it? Is true that study visa will be stamped 8503 condition? When writing to them, it has to be in a beseeching manner. Let them know it more than 51days of processing time as stipulated on their website.
Since your school commences on (21/06/2019 for example) that you need to know your fate as you are eagerly waiting to resume your studies.
You will appreciate if they can make a final decision on your application.

Like i earlier said, it could go your way or you end up shooting yourself in the foot.

masco131:
You mean I can contact them to finalize my application and they will give me their verdict
How please?
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by WestAfrican: 11:52pm On May 28, 2019
The symbol > means greater, therefore your application could be greater than 51 days depending on your circumstances or case officer.

You also have the choice of asking them to finalize your application. It usually takes about a day or two and could go in or against your favor.

masco131:
I don’t think this is applicable to Nigeria.
I have lodged my visa since first week in March and visa is yet to be out.
It’s even more than 51 days

You fall under - 500 - Student visa (subclass 500) Higher Education Sector. 75% of applications are processed in 41 days while 90% are 51 days or >

Sweet the FD has yelled interest in the past. So print, certify and attach that as well so your CO will know it wasn't just done for the visa application. Godspeed

I understand all you have said. Usually, immigration read huge sum of money in an account as money lodgement.
Like I earlier said you may want to summit the 32m fixed deposit statement with a letter attached to it stating how and why the money got there.

If she has received some interest on the maturity of that FD in the past, it will be nice to attach it as well. Australia doesn't ready have one on one interview, your documents speak for you. Also make sure you certify that 32m FD before attaching it.

Thanks so much for this, I really appreciate. This is the second year of the FD so she has had interest payments on the maturity in the past.

Thanks a lot for the quick response.

My sister is married with one kid, and as for the account she sent me, there was very little activity on the account over the 3-month period which was what we used for the application. Is there any way I can attach the actual statement and fixed deposit slip in a pm to you so you have a look? I would really appreciate that.

And thanks, I will go ahead and attach the fixed deposit statement on Monday to the application along with the short note.
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by WestAfrican: 4:11am On May 26, 2019
Ya you have submitted the bank statement to start with. Well these immigration guys look at the inflow and out flow of cash in your bank statement and if there has been any money lodgement within the last 6 months and how often they occurred.

If the remaining balance was 12m and your sponsor had 13m means they will be left with 1m. Does your sponsor have family she is looking after or rather dependent on her? How is the flow of money in and out of her account?

I strongly suggest you print, certify and upload the statement of her 32m business fixed deposit and write a short note explaining how the money came about.

okolodaniel:
Hello house,

Wishing you all the best with your applications!

I submitted my student visa application on the 23rd of May and front-loaded my sponsor's SOA with a balance of about 13.37m naira, I have also paid the required deposit of 8150AUD to Deakin for the CoE with my full tuition for one year being 32600 AUD. When I did all of my calculations, the amount that is needed in my sponsor's account was just under 12m naira. However, I am worried if the 13.37m will be enough considering I saw a case on this thread of someone getting denied because of the funds for the subsequent year of studies.

My sponsor in question has her business fixed deposit account with about 32m naira. She is also the sole signatory to that account, I am now thinking that it is worth just attaching the fixed deposit slip and a letter showing she is the sole signatory to the account to the application on Monday. What do you guys think?

Thanks a lot for helping me with this, you know the usual paranoia during the wait lol it is getting to me!

TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by WestAfrican: 3:52am On May 26, 2019
Most people don't acknowledge the fact that University admission processing is different from Immigration processing.
If your school access you and are satisfied you meet up the requirement to study, immigration do not really have the right to question that except may be you have applied to a lower / level 3 institution.

Having said that, you may want to submit a letter from your University in England stating:

Your full names

Program name

Program duration

Language medium of teaching

Most people who apply to an AL1 program also make the mistake of including a bank statement and sometimes end up shooting themselves in the foot. I advise people to wait until asked by the case officer to provide one.
You will never be denied visa on the ground of not providing a bank statement at the time of visa lodgement.

The ball is in your court mate.

tush1986:
Respected Gurus in the house, I seek your opinion and advice on this little, yet complex issue. I recently completed an Msc Degree in public health in England and I was admitted for a doctoral research in Edith Cowan University, Perth Australia. I got my COE on Friday and I'm in the process of making my online visa lodgement. My question evolves around English language test exemptions as I read that student enrolled in a postgraduate research course are exempted from English language proficiency tests as stated on https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/student-500. Excerpts as follows: You do not need to provide evidence of an English test score with your visa application if one of the following applies: you are enrolled in a principal course of study that is a registered school course, a standalone English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS), or a registered post-graduate research course. My question goes thus, can I proceed with the submission of my e-lodgement as I fall in the exemption category baring in mind that my Uni has indicated in my COE that I have satisfied their English language requirement or do I still need to write an English test prior to submission. Advice and comments are welcome

What I mean with my second question is, what if I didn't change my course from digital learning and able to secure a job after study, will I be given consideration for PR.
Like I righly said it depends if digital learning is still on the SOL at the completion of your study. SOL does change every year hence, Early childhood education has always remain constant in the list not sure of digital learning. You may way to do a bit research on that.

If Australia has sufficient locals for a skill or job, they won't bring in more foreigners. SOL PR route is for skills/careers that need extra hands. Hope that explains better.

And is it paid for in USD or Aid?
Am pretty sure immigration will be glad to receive the fees in USD smiley
As at today, the fees for a Subclass 500 visa is $575 (Approx. 364€)

You are indeed a rare gem sir, giving out your precious time to enlighten a stranger. May God bless your hustle sir.
Your explanation on personal interest is on point. As it is, am already in the middle of my application but sir, can I change from digital learning to early childhood education after getting to Australia without a hitch.

No worries bro. I have been shown favour in my times of need. Just passing it on too.

I am positive you can change your course except your school decides to stop such from happening which I doubt. The phone thing is to get into the country every other thing will come together
.

Secondly, what if I didn't change and am able to secure a job during my two years post study stay, do I have any chance of being given a PR.
The should be the last phase of my questions. You've really helped me in gaining a better experience, can't thank you
enough.

If your course is still on SOL you should be alright. Like I earlier said, there are heaps of jobs for early childhood teachers. It's very lucrative. Godspeed.

Emaxxy:
Thanks for your priceless contribution. Well have tried considering early childhood education but there are quite a number of factors am considering such as:
1. Relevance outside Australia.
I think childhood educator or teacher assistant as the case may be is a lucrative profession in any first world country except you are looking at returning to Nigeria at the completion of your study. Even at that, private schools will happily welcome you with both arms.

2. Gender- I mean will it not be more fitting for females than males.
No gender inequality in workplaces here in Australia or other first world nations. Women/men have equal opportunities in all ramification of life. I have seen women electrician, concreter, dumb truck drivers, bus drivers, mechanics name it. Companies don't advertise for a job position with gender as a criteria.

3. Personal interest.
I am assuming your personal interest here means how much you like to become an early childhood education? Well there's a saying that goes "If you love your job, you never work"
Do do really need to out that into consideration otherwise it may end up as a negative experience for you. You also need to come to terms on what you want; are you after a PR or a course that you will enjoy studying. Sometimes getting both simultaneously can be difficult.
If this doesn't explain your personal interest you may want to elucidate further

Thanks once again for your advice and will look forward to the recommendation of other gurus in the house.

Thanks sir for sharing this. I have my first degree in biology educational with an outstanding cgpa but want to further in the area of master of education in digital learning with the prospect of getting a PR. However, master of education in digital learning is not on Sol but there are other edu related courses such as early childhood education and secondary education on the list. My question is, can the fact that master of education in digital learning is applicable across all levels of education give me an edge/opportunity in getting a PR after study. Mr WestAfrican and others please your suggestions, recommendation and contribution will be highly appreciated.
Skilled Occupation List changes every financial year. Depending on the demand for such occupation will determine if it will be added or removed from the following year.

A lot of students have been caught in limbo when their occupation was either removed or requirements were changed.

If you opt to study Edu in Digital Learning now with the hope it will appear on next year's SOL that will be a huge gamble. Have you considered Early childhood education in the meanwhile? As that occupation has always been constant.

Wait to hear what others have to suggest.

Hello sir, please i have a bachelors in Civil engineering and 2.5years work experience in IT, i want to apply for a masters in IT but i was adviced to use Civil engineering then i can switch after a term, please how feasible would this be? Is it even possible to switch on getting there? I would really appreciate your response.
If someone with an IT background is accepted for Masters in Nursing then your chances of switching from IT to Engr etc is just fine.

Tell them in your statement of purpose why you chose to work in IT field during the interim and why you still want to remain on that path.

The only set back is you may not get a credit transfer if you chose IT pathway. But again you need to discuss that with your school.

Yeah, it's possible to switch as long as you are not downgrading from Masters to Undergraduate as it's getting tougher.

If I were you, I would apply for IT and if the admission isn't given, I would then apply for Engr. Sometimes, school will advise you to go for Engr instead.

It's always advisable to come in with PR but some of us lack the time and patience so therefore we come in with visitor or student visa then apply for PR assuming our course is on Skilled List.

please i have gotten to the stage of GTE questions, please help answer how to go about it.

*is your spouse travelling with you on your student visa or does your spouse intend to travel with you in future* should i pick yes?
Do you have a wife and will she be traveling with you?
Have it in mind that your responses to the questions here in will affect your SOA.

*will you be applyimg for single or couple oshc* is it advisable to pick single or couple?
Oshc is simply health insurance either for you or and your wife.
Again depends if your wife will be traveling with you.

*are you or your spouse planning to undertake any work to support you* should i pick yes or no?
They know more than 95% of visa dependents even those on scholarship work to support their spouse so no point telling lies.

*will you use any money earn in australia to pay your course* please yes or no.
Again refer to your SOA.

*please house help me answer and also i used my uncle as sponsor, will it fly?
Your uncle can sponsor you but again you need to ask yourself how much does he have in his account? How is the flow of money? and how many dependents does he have?

God bless and this is urgent
Also wait to hear from those who just recently received their grants.

Paying your safe as a CEO
Paying yourself as a CEO you meant?
Yes, accounts department handles that. Not all CEOs own the company and some that do prefer not to interfere with the money for day to day running of the business.

In Australia individuals and businesses pay taxes and when go asking for loans you will understand why you need to pay yourself as a small business owner.

Whose bank statement did you submit to the embassy?
I am not sure about Nigeria but here in Australia most CEO of companies do pay themselves. Pay slip shows the amount you receive as wages or salary within a pay period and pay summary shows the total amount earned in a financial year.

Australia consider you a good citizen when you work and pay taxes rather than receiving cash-in-hand.

Hello gurus in the house, thank you for making life better and beautiful everyday.
Am a police officer here in Nigeria, but I intends to go for a short course in Australia in my area of specialisation, i need first hand information from people who are already in Australia to answer some of my question, the question now is :
Which schools can offer me admission for a short time course on security ?
http://cricos.education.gov.au/course/CourseSearch.aspx
Search your course of interest and contact them as well.

What are the expenses I should be looking into ?
Duration of study, tuition fees will directly or indirectly affect your expenses.
If your question means list of expenses? Here are some of them:
Air ticket
Accommodation
Tuition fees
Food
Transportation, depends if you wish to drive or catch the bus/train

What are the required documents needed ?
Completed Australian student visa application form (157A)
Paid visa application fee – currently AU$560 (~US$430) in most cases
Copy of passport biodata page (some students may be asked to physically provide their passport)
Certificate of Enrolment or Letter of Offer
Evidence of sufficient funds
Evidence of health insurance cover
English proficiency test results
Criminal record check results
Four recent passport-sized photographs
Recommendation lettes
Statement of purpose.

What's are my chances of getting the Visa
Submit the right documents, submit on time. Do not provide bogus documents. Pray to your God.

I have travel experience but will it be a criteria, pls I need urgent and sincere answer from experience people here, thank you.
Travel history does somehow give an edge but again if you have an irregular travel history that can implicate you. What I mean is if you are a full time employee and travel regularly not for work purpose that can raise an eye brow.
One question here, can you get sponsorship from work?

Not sure what your role is in the organization but you may want to throw in some payslips and tax clearance to butress your SOA.

If you are the business owner, your registration certificate can serve as a tie back home after your studies.

You will not need a new Visa as you have compassionate and compelling reason not to be there at the commencement of your study.

May sure you forward supporting documents to the school as they will need it for the extension of your visa.

You may still be able to secure more absence of leave upon arrival but then school might refer you to a psychologist.
