That's absolutely true but she actually stated $1000 per month which is highly possible.
Students working 20hrs a week could earn on the average of $1500 monthly but not weekly
Sorry my bad. I must have misread per week instead of month.
Yea on that ground its very possible. The truth again is most students work over 20hours a week. The government doesn't really care as long as you pay you tax, although they do raid onces in a while especially in big cities.
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by WestAfrican: 12:34am On Oct 26, 2016
@mannimakerjnr

You can't earn AUS $1000 in a week on a 20hrs part time work. From her calculation you will be paid $65- $70 per hour to earn $1000 after tax or $50 cash in hand per hour or on your ABN.

bosses in the house, please which one comes first biometrics medical or radiology.
Medicals can be done in two ways. Before applying for a visa (thou you need to complete your My Health Declarations application in order to get a HAP ID) OR when asked by your case officer to go for one. Things may get complicated if you have already applied for your visa before doing your medicals.

Biometrics can be done on same day when submitting your paper application or as soon as possible after applying online.

Not sure what you mean by radiology mate.

Please what do u mean by notorizing a document? Can't a scanned and printed document serve same aim?

Please explain.
Notorizing and certifying are same. Get a notary/ lawyer to get your original documents certifized.
It just makes your documents look genuine. If in any case they are not, all blame will be on the notary who certified them.

i have a bsc in biochemistry, but applying for a bachelor course in hospitality, i did a diploma here in aviation and tourism management. I have little experience in the tourism and aviation sector but non in hospitality. So would i need to present a transcript for my other degree since i am applying for an undergraduaate course?
Your degree in biochemistry will raise a RED FLAG. There is a correlation between your tourism course and prospective one therefore your transcript for tourism could be use.
You can either allow the school continue with the documents you have submitted or certify the documents before resubmitting.
Its entirely upto you.

@Kagari, boss westafrican

If it's for admission application , you don't need your documents notarized..But you'll eventually have to notarize them for Visa application..

Your transcript is the most important document for your application...and takes time to process in most schools ...infact that's what is stopping me from lodging my visa application...hence I suggest you apply for your transcripts ASAP ..have them send it to an address you can readily retrieve it from, while u collect the students copy and use for your admission ap...you can't apply to any school without it .

WestAfrican sir , over to you ..
You dont have to notorize for admission purpose but it is recommended you do so. All in the name of authenticity.
It puts the mind of the school at rest knowing your documents are genuine moreso it allows for easy admission processing.
Just my thoughts

What did you graduate as? What are you applying for?
Yes its important you notorize your documents for authenticity sake.

THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT. BUT THIS "NO FURTHER STAY" CLAUSE SOUNDS SCARY O. I WILL ALSO NEED IDEAS ON OTHER ALTERNATIVE (S) APART FROM TUITION FEE. ACCOUNTANTS IS MARKED TO BE likely REMOVED FROM SOL COME NEXT YEAR (I READ IT FROM THE IMMIGRATION SITE). AM KIND OF CONFUSED

thanks
Look for another related course that will still be on sol list. Or try coming in before it closes or you may be lucky to find a state sponsorship.

Oga WestAfrica. Your name self represent Africa, and west for that matter. i envy that. I am currently studying in Saudi (Msc. Accounting) and looking forward to Australia very soon. The tuition overthere is quite heavy and looking for other options.

please, can your clarify the Visitor visa conversion while in australia. Does it mean one can change to student or residence ?

you also mentioned that " Hopefully you don't have a NO FURTHER STAY condition on the visa" .

kindly clarify sir.
I will emphasize a littlr more on Solitin40 comment.
Most Australian visas come with condition(s). It could be Work Limitation, Study type, Must have insurance, Cannot leave the country for a certain time, Restriction to medicine etc. The worse of them is NO FURTHER STAY. With the latter condition, you cannot renew a visa or application for any other visas while in Australia except for a PROTECTION visa.

Yes you can change to another visa if your visitors visa does not have NO FURTHER STAY condition. A new visa must be lodged before your substantial or current visa runs out.

@Bellong God bless you for the WORD you are on point.

About 10 months ago i meet 4 people going to Australia here ,we became friends because our destination is the same with mine.My school told me they can only offer me Feb intakes because of my course.

Fast forward to 3 months ago i message they ignore but why now people that we Skype before leaving and after landing. They fail to reply you back just ask simple questions from them one of them disgraced me 'stop disturbing am always busy here' like seriously just asking have you been able to get a aged care facility'

They come here to read posts of pro's after ask questions and where to get cheap tickets and they leave but WHY two people were here for visa assistance and cheap tickets but where are they to assist people coming

And we have some people here available to help despite there busy schedule. @westafrica i own you 2kg of Egusi
Lolz thanks in advance. I do things not for ulterior motives. I have had similar experience with someone here but that doesn't stop me from assisting if I could.
The truth is that we Nigerians always look for ways to exploit others. For such reason we find it hard to succeed.

Do what you can for others and expect nothing then only you wont be disappointed.

Lwkmd, make I go learn mechanic be dat na lol.
Learn mechanic, carpentry, electrician, plumber na there money dey. Them even dey sol list.

How u brotherly?

See, I got an offer at northed college south Victoria to study horticulture.

Visa checklist was sent to me and the thing weak me.

My brother is a business man and I just told him I need him as a sponsor. I pray he has up to 11 million inflow and outflow in his account.
The case of landed property, is it a necessary requirement? Or is the soa enough for a sponsor enough?

He can include other landed property he has. If his business is related to what you are studying he can state in his sponsorship letter that you will be working with him.

Then dis medical cover, how do I get it? Is any national hospital enough or how do I go about it?

They have specific hospitals you have to visit. You also need to create a HAP ID online before going for medicals thats if you choose to submit before your case officer ask you to go for one.

The police report, can I get it here in warri or is it a must it must come from headquarters of lagos or abj?

As I understand, ALAGBON Lagos is the place to go. You may want to ask around.

What's else, ehen.
The tax clearance receipt, is it necessary too?

Tax clearance receipt for who? I don't think its necessary. Just add your brothers international biodate page / birth certificate to show your relationship. Make sure they are certified.

And finally, how long dose it take for visa application to be granted?

For assessment level 3 it could take upto 3month. Endeavour to submit 3month before your travel date.

My school resumes feb2, if visa is granted Nov, will I be allowed to travel by then make I go hustle first?

Yes you can travel by November but you are not allowed to work until you have resume studies. Some people dey work sha but its risky.

Thanks
No worries

The truth is you dont need to submit soa if you are applying for undergraduate or masters programs. If you submit and ur case officer notices your account is insufficient that could delay or get your visa denied. Just wait and see if you wiĺ be asked for one and submit what you have as long as you have enough money in it and the money was is not deposited in lump-sum.

With Australian immigration bogus means 3 years ban for coming to Australia. Its good to come out straight. If you have anh documents showing he has sponsored you in the past, that could be used to support your application.

Again if your brother was not a GTE that could raise a red flag towards his sponsorship. (Not sure if you said your brother is in Aus)

Anyway just hope they dont ask.

The likely-hood of a case officer requesting for SOA for an AL1 school is almost non-existent. The SOP which explains Genuine Temporary Entrant is all that matters for peeps who got admission into AL1 schs. Atleast going by what i have observed so far
You have just buttressed my point. Even as an AL1 applicant, your case officer still has the authority to ask for your soa if he deems you as non genuine entrant applicant. Two people I know have been asked for soa even thou assesed as AL1.
Read what GTE means:

Genuine temporary entrant

The genuine temporary entrant (GTE) requirement is an integrity measure to ensure that the student visa programme is used as intended and not as a way for international students to maintain ongoing residency in Australia.

The GTE requirement applies to all student visa applicants. The officer assessing the visa application considers whether the individual circumstances of the student indicates that their intention is for a temporary stay in Australia.
You must satisfy us that you have a genuine intention to stay in Australia temporarily.

Insufficient fund for study or bogus soa as well as other reasons disqualify you as a GTE.

  -  CoE (Photocopy notarized)
  -  Medical Referral Letters (Photocopies notarized) -
  -   Degree certificate / Statement of Result (Photocopy notarized)
  -  Transcript (Photocopy notarized)
  -  CV

    - Visa fees (Approximately 180,000NGN). This would be paid online
   -  Bio metrics fees - 7,400NGN. To be paid at the Bio-metrics center.
Yellow Fever card/Polio card
The agent said UWA is one of the universities with AL1 status under SSVF. That SOA is not needed.
@ the job aspect. Am going for social works ..so i guess i can easily get age care job. ....however hope the age care doesnt mean i will be cleaning sh*t of old folks or it better than i imagined. Thanks sir.
You will need statement of purpose
You need all pages of previous and current international passport pages nortorized
You wont need medical receipt nortorized
You may need soa if your case officer request for it so be prepared.
At work now but if i remember anyother thing, will notify you.
Cheers

I believe you can apply as a freshman. Hence you need to let your uni know your situation and find out if you can get some credit to the courses you have already studied in Nigeria after you present your transcript.

If your school offered you admission without IELTS then you should be fine with immigration. Ielts is just an avenue the Australian govt. make money from foreigners.
With the bank statement you can include one if you have a lot of funds in it otherwise ignore it.
In the Financial Capacity Requirements; these is for your perusal.

You need to have enough money that is genuinely available to you, to pay for your course fees, and travel and living costs for you and your accompanying family members while you are in Australia.

You might need to provide evidence of your financial capacity with your visa application. Check the Document Checklist Tool below to find out what evidence you need to provide.
If you do not provide this evidence with your application or when asked by an officer, your visa application could be refused.
If you do not need to provide evidence with your application, we have discretion to ask you for this during the application process.

Just make sure you have a bank statement available in case your case-officer ask for one.

I have only been to Perth once and that was in 2013. Things are little expensive at that time compared to other parts of Australia reason was because of the mining boom. Anyways, you know exactly what you are looking for. Just type your query on google regarding work and accommodation and loads of information will appear or tell me what exactly you want to know and I can help you search. Cheers.

Good day bro, I am applying for TAFE, agriculture.
Am using my waec with 6 years work experience on agriculture.

Do u think the age would affect my chance in anyway in both admission and visa?

Secondly, someone who's not family is sponsoring me but he seems to be a citizen Over dia, please tell me something I don't know and need to know.

Am not up to 30

And does aussie ask for visa interview?

Cc: WestAfrican

In as much as age is not a primary factor for your visa grant, it is important that your chosen course is related to your work experience. A letter from your sponsor stating solid reasons why he/she wants you to pursue your course to enhance a career could help in your visa processing too.

Is your sponsor related to you in anyway? Have they been your guidance or paided your fees in the past? Do you have evidence of those payments. If your answer is YES, then your sponsor can include that in their LETTER OF SPONSORSHIP
?

Or, should we process her Permanent Residence first before the vocational training. Where you support this second option, how do we go about it?
It is always ideal to get a PR before studying but then again you need to meet the PR points threshold.
Solitin40 (a member of this forum) has been sharing a url for those who choose to process for PR, you may want to ask him for it.
Her course is a bit saturated in Australia. She may be able to find a job but the question is will the company be able to sponsor her for visa application? (I doubt).
