chiamo: I really appreciate your selfless efforts and advise so far, thanks. However, could you please expatiate this your statements as I couldn't really understand it: " Sounds good. Her start date on her offer letter should be 1-2 months after her studies in Australia. Dont for get include your birth certificate and that of your jst to show your relationship with her". Aside of the offer letter she got before starting the job, her company has to give her a new offer letter or a letter stating she will get back her job when she completes her studies in Australia. The immigration will be convinced she is not planning on remaining in Australia after she completes her studies. If you are sponsoring her and claim she is your daughter you then need to show the immigration some form of relationship. Yours and her birth certificates and maybe some receipt of your paying her tuition fees when she was studying. All of your documents has to be certified. |

chiamo: 1. She can get a letter of job offer with payslips from her employer but I will be the one sponsoring her.
Sounds good. Her start date on her offer letter should be 1-2 months after her studies in Australia. Dont for get include your birth certificate and that of your jst to show your relationship with her. All documents must be duly attested for authenticity sake.
2. She is just 4 months old working there.
It dont think it matters as she is still young. Embassy won't care much. Just show her payslips to show she had a job or bank statement is wages or salary was directly into her account.
3. What's the average salary she should be earning? That does not matter. You are sponsoring her. So your account is what embassy is concerned about. In the form, she would have to put in details of all her siblings. The embassy will work out how many children yoh have to see if the money in your account or your salary can support all your children. |

lusen: thank you for this information. I want to pay my school fees too and apply for visa. however, I want to ask some questions.
1) My course will start next feb. when is the best time to apply for visa? The best time is now. The earlier the better.
2) I've been reading on this thread that form A is not currently available in Nigerian banks. How true is that? if true, how else do i pay my school fees?
Sorry Ì can't confirm that. As your family member or friends overseas to help you make the payment.
3) The ielts(english test) result I have is that of the academic module. Can that be accepted in lieu of the general module when I'm applying for visa?
Did your school accept the academic module? If yes you may proceed with your application. Some here have gotten their visas without a writing ielts.
4) What is the minimum balance I should have in my account before I can b issued a study visa.
Do not have a money lodgement as that will raise an eyebrow. Your total balance should cover your first year tuition fees and other living expenses. Really what matters to immigration is the consistency of money inflow in your account.

bogolobango: @WestAfrican how do I certify them A Notary, ministry of foreign affairs or teleperformance should be ablle to certify if you are using it for visa application. You may want to double check with Teleperformance cos i know VFS who handles australia visa application for other countries just as teleperformance is for Nigeria does certify. |

chiamo: You're a gem, thank you very much.
At present she is working but I want her to be well entrenched in her career hence my plan of supporting her to the max. She has a Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity Trade Certificate. Can you get her office to sponsor her? Would make her visa processing lot easy. Otherwise you can proceed with her applying but make sure you include letter from office saying she would they are in support of her furthering her studies and would still have a job with them after she returns. Do not forget to include her job offer letter and payslips. |

classichsy: @westafrica @bellong and the gurus. whats your thought about aviation industry in australia? my nephew is planning to apply for aviation course in aussie. l only read post about engineering and medical field being promising. Aviation is not on sol but may be on csol list. Meaning a state has to sponsor him after he graduates. Meanwhile, he does not some flying hours to be able to fly big commercial airlines. Some people travel to indonesia islands, south africa, Botswana rurals or regional areas to get those hours. |

bellong: You and your friends have been lucky on several occasions.
It is generally not allowed because if it spills, it can affect other passengers' luggage thereby subjecting the airline to lawsuits. A problem identified is half-sovled. Packing is vital in all we do. If you carry not more than 2 liter, make sure the cap is seal properly, not have it as a carry-on baggage then it should be fine. I love to cook my traditional food for my oyibo friends and have been traveling with my palm oil, egusi, anchovies, and semolina to different countries for the past 10 years. China seized my toothpaste in my carry-on but would have been fine in my checked in luggage. |

Put it in your luggage bag and you will be safe. You will have problems only when you have it in your hand luggage. No liquid is allow with you in the plane but very fine if you have it checked-in. |

classichsy: @Westafrica. I made some search and the earliest conference coming up is november ending and I'm not interested in december trip. If I apply for this conference and the documents and completed forms are sent to the embassy by next wk which is probably a month and some days before the start of the conference, will they fully process and approve the application before the start of the conference date? If it does extend more than a month to process it,will they still likely approve it even if its just few days to the conference or when the conference has started? I wait for your reply and I apologize for the kweshun in pieces. I'm just trying to weigh up the best option with your experience.Thank you in advance. Dont be in a hurry. Take your time and search for a conference related to your field. Gather all your supporting documents, package yourself nicely. They embassy need upto three months to process your visa. Dont give them the chance to find a reason for denial. There is no shortcut to a near place. If you are so much in a haste you can give it a shot, its all your choice and your luck. |
Business › Re: Does Anyone Know How To Package Food Like The Food They Sell At Shoprite? by WestAfrican: 11:07pm On Oct 03, 2016 |
AuthorX: Dear Nairalanders,
I would like to sell food packaged like they package the food they sell at Shoprite (its also the same way they package the meat they sell). Its usually with a light white plastic material at the bottom but with a nylon tightly woven over it so that the top is clear which allows potential buyer see the food (or meat) clearly from the top. Does anyone here know how its done (and would be kind enough to explain how its done)? or can someone point me to where I can buy the materials used in such packaging?
Thanks. It will cost you $9000 usd for buying and shipping the machine to you. Or $100 for 5 roles of the plastic (nylon) if you wish to do it manually. |

Please if there are items u feel i am not allowed to carry please i will be pleased to know beforehand. Please. Also about declaring of your items how is it done. Looking forwar to your response. Vee Do not bring im seeds or fruits. All food must be professionally or commercially packaged. You must declare on your passengers card on arrival. Usually your passenger card is given to you by your airline 3-6hours before touching ground. When asked by immigration, confidently explain to them what foods you have. Blend ur egusi, ogbono and crayfish. Do not bring stocked fish unless its commercially packaged. Tell us other things yoh wish to bring in and we can advise further. |

4mula22: Hello everyone
I have been reading through this thread and I am in page 20 at the moment. I intend to read through but it's painstakingly painstaking.
For those who have appreciable knowledge of Australia, please what is the best region to move to as a new migrant in terms of jobs and accommodation? I will be moving to Australia soon and I have no idea where to begin to look. I studied engineering so I'll be searching for engineering or similar jobs. I intend applying for my pr as soon as I settle in.
I will really appreciate any help and advice I can get.
Thanks Www.seek.com.au Www.manpower.com.au There are few other job sites to help you. For now, job should be your priority instead of location. After 6month to a year of work and you like moving or have better opportunity then you go for it. |

classichsy: Thumb up to you man. If one don't have someone to send an invitation letter for tourist visa application,What's your advice about conference package to use to process tourist visa or other means of tourist application? Your candid advice is welcome while to b sure awa other nigerians has not dent it just like they dent conference package with us embassy. Looking forward to your This Way To advice. It will be nice to come in via conference be you student or worker. But then you need to show some proofs of having attended other conferences locally or abroad as that will help strengthen your application. If you have other visas on your passport, you dont need to worry much. Conference is considered business in australia. So you would be applying under business visa. Hope that helps. |

classichsy: @westafrica. How many weeks do they take to process subclass600 Visa? Apply 3 months before your proposed travel date. It takes a month but could go up to three months if your case officer is busy or ask for additional documents. Thou it is rare for case officers to ring you for additional documents for visitors visa that is why you must provide all the relevant documents on your initial application. Your documents speak for you. Too many documente thou might raise suspicion. |
