Nairaland GeneralRe: Graphic Pics: Generator Fumes Killman, Wife & 3 Children In Ikorodu by whirlwind7(m): 3:11pm On Sep 16, 2014
If they died in their sleep, why are they in such unnatural positions? Were the bodies moved? Such horrid, but avoidable death. I mean, with the number of people who had died from carbon monoxide poisoning from generator exhaust, I didn't think anyone could still be foolhardy to operate them indoors.
HealthRe: Blood Stains On My Bedsheets,and Room,started 9yrs Ago. by whirlwind7(m): 12:55pm On Sep 16, 2014
Mettal: 1) random, not particularly in one place. 2) the exercise book was at my window,!!. Take note i said in my room and bed, there are random droplets on the floors too.yesterday night around 9pm,i was still reading on my desk when i noticed another fresh pint of blood on the floor. That prompted me to publicise it.
You mean, the blood appeared while you were awake? While you were alone in your room and 100% certain that no one sneaked in?
HealthRe: Blood Stains On My Bedsheets,and Room,started 9yrs Ago. by whirlwind7(m): 12:14pm On Sep 16, 2014
Why not take practical steps to solving this issue?

Do you live/sleep alone? Flat mates? Living with relatives? Family members?
If you have other people living in same apartment with you, has it occurred to you that this could be a practical joke? (Not funny at all)

Take the blood sample to a good medical lab (they are everywhere) to confirm if it's your blood.
If tests reveal it isn't yours, then the theory of a practical joker messing with you could still be valid.

Home CCTVs are cheap and you need just install a single unit in your bedroom. Remember, it is your health (and your life) we are talking about here, so spending a little to decipher what is going on isn't an over reaction.

Get a health check. You might have a sort of spontaneous bleeding disorder. Since the stain was in the middle of the bed, and you being a male, then it's safe to assume you bled from the anus (that is, if lab test confirms it's indeed your blood)

After you have ruled out the probable and possible physical causes, then, you can finally consider spiritual intervention.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Horror: Egypt Air Wrongly Flew Me To Another Country, tore My Passport.. by whirlwind7(m): 4:31pm On Sep 13, 2014
Such a trauma! I'm hoping this incident gets fully addressed. I mean, Egypt Air has to be made to pay a heavy penalty for jeopardizing the life of my lil hommie. It's staff had the opportunity to rectify the error there n then when that ticket was issued, yet they couldn't care less.

I'm actually eager to see the reaction of our lame duck government at the impunity shown by that official who tore his passport.

Oh really?
She was exhibiting symptoms of EVD, and her roommates "rushed" her to the health centre? huh

All you baseless scaremongers with tasteless penchant for sensationalism must think everyone else has got their head up their a$$.

You want to tell us that her mates saw obvious symptoms of EVD and still went ahead to "rush" her to the health centre?
They must have fully kitted up with protective gears then, right?

Please save your tasteless piece of crap for those who dont know any better.
Anyone who experiences health emergency is now tagged as an EVD suspect. It's plain silly angry

BTW, is that a picture of her roommates up there, in full protective gears, ready to rush anyone else to the health centre...or just more of your attempt at adding sensation to your narrative?

Orikinla: When they breed kids out of wedlock and they turn to drug addicts, armed robbers, kidnappers and terrorists and commit horrible atrocities in the society, then it will be your nightmare. grin
Like someone said earlier: It's their life. What's more, most of these "flygirls" get pregnant and bear illegitimate kids only if they want to.

Your observation is quite impressive. Something doesn't quite add up here.

I suggest they put fetish looking things around there (you know,..calabash, black and white feathers, rat skeleton, piece of red cloth..etc)
This will achieve the desired effect faster.

BusinessRe: Lagos City Hotel Rates Are The Most Expensive In Africa by whirlwind7(m): 3:22pm On Sep 04, 2014
It doesn't take rocket science to figure out. Cost of running business in Nigeria is outrageously high. Same reason why many companies have been shut down: No water, no electricity.
BusinessRe: SHOCKER; 15 ECOWAS Countries Against Nigeria’s Industrialisation Bid. by whirlwind7(m):
If Nigeria is really sincere with itself, is it the antics of ECOWAS neighbors that could stop it's push for industrialization?
Halfwit politicians who quickly latch onto any flimsy excuse just to cover up for how incompetent they are.
A country that couldn't ensure a steady supply of electricity trying to become industrialized grin
Very funny.
The problem isn't our West African neighbors.
The problem isn't how or what they feel about us.
The problem lies with us as a nation saddled with self centered, corrupt and vision less bunch of political misfits.
When we get things right, other neighboring countries can't help but get put in their place, and toe the line their master sets for them.

If your allegation is real, why not mention the company as well as the estate involved. The main reason why most people opt for private estate is to avoid this sort of frustration. Pls name d company.

KnowAll: Decentralisation has in way helped Nigeria. Unlike in Liberia,Seirra leone & Guninea where every buck stops at their president's table. In Nigeria Fashola had already started doing d right untill d feds step in. Kudos to Nigeria. Rare applaud for d nation.
DECENTRALIZATION.......The key structure that should be adopted if there's going to be any credible hope of this country surviving as one entity. The centralized FG has become too cumbersome to effectively control every thing.

CultureRe: He Was Asked To Pay Her (his Wife To Be) "BRIDE PRICE" Into A Bank Account by whirlwind7(m): 2:21pm On Aug 19, 2014
The head of whatever family your brother is marrying into has the discretionary capacity to determine how things gets done.
He gave quite good reasons why he wanted things done that way. Fact is, he made it easier for your brother. Or, do u prefer d hassles of going to purchase the myriad of items on the list?
The money sent will still be used in purchasing some of the required items to be presented to his inlaw's kindreds.
Quit bitching. Your brother has found love, and it doesn't matter what part of the country he's marrying from.

The teeth god in this case! grin
PetsRe: Why You Should Never Ever Sell Your Pet. I Feel Like Crying by whirlwind7(m): 5:23am On Aug 16, 2014
You sold your pet simply because you needed money?
You don't own other things such as electronic gadgets, accessories (shoes, watches, brazillian wig grin) which you could sell off to tide you over, then purchase new sets later when you can afford to?

I dont want to believe you can contemplate selling a living, breathing thing, AFTER you have bonded with it as your pet.
Sorry, I have no empathy for you, cos you might still want to sell it in a few months when you need cash.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Nurse Who Skipped Ebola Quarantine To Travel To Enugu Is Transported Back To Lag by whirlwind7(m): 1:07pm On Aug 14, 2014

Let's hope her claim was right

PoliticsRe: How Liberian Govt Cleared Patrick Sawyer To Travel To Nigeria With Ebola by whirlwind7(m): 3:27am On Aug 13, 2014
This act, be it intentional or otherwise, is an act of terrorism.

If we had a hard hitting and no nonsense government, Liberia should be cringing in anticipation of what penance it would be made to pay for this act, after this incident has been brought under control.

If...only if...only if we had such a government. But we don't.
Calling Mr Sawyer a mad man is probably the only reprimand to expect.
While hundreds of lives are put at risk of avoidable and horrible death. It's a pity.

HealthRe: Boil or Dry Meat thoroughly to prevent Ebola Virus- EXPERTS by whirlwind7(m): 5:37pm On Aug 08, 2014
@OP: Do you sell dried meat?
Seem like everyone's idiosyncrasy got unleashed by this ebola scare.

Of course, boiling meat kills the virus. You are only told to avoid bush meat.
Doesnt stop you from eating beef, chicken, fish, mutton, bacon.....

Salt vendors just had their boom. Now Tinko sellers are shaping up for their own windfall too. angry

Christianity EtcRe: Aba Methodist Church Moves To Stop Ebola (see Poster) by whirlwind7(m): 9:00am On Aug 08, 2014
Another scam artist trying to take advantage of a situation. Since when has ebola become a spiritual problem?

The Church's intention is just to garner a record attendance...then extort a massive offering (call it sowing a financial seed to secure yourself from infection)
If there were a strict regulatory body, this church would be prevented from going ahead with this sh#t.

Even a large gathering should be discouraged as part of effort at checking the spread.
PoliticsRe: EBOLA: Africa Has Come Of Age by whirlwind7(m): 9:38am On Aug 05, 2014
barcanista: This issue is a very serious one. Our herbs and local drugs has been sustaining our forefathers for ages and never wiped out Africa. We need to look inwards for the solutions to "African Problems" whcih i think is overrated. As at today, the fear of ebola caused by media publicity is killing more Nigerians silently than the virus itself.
Check out the time line you posted up there. That as far back as 1989 when Maurice Iwu and co embarked on that research, and yet, nothing conclusive was arrived at, shows you the kind of people Africans are.

Who knows if the Americans secretly understudied their research they couldn't conclude, and ended up formulating the "secret" cure they gave their own people.
PoliticsRe: EBOLA: Africa Has Come Of Age by whirlwind7(m): 9:28am On Aug 05, 2014
Is it the same African leaders who have all converged for yet another round of a "sleeping summit", in America that you expect to show a dint of initiative?

Yes, if their American master doesn't provide a cure, then a cure couldn't be found.
In fact, escaping from their respective countries to go and kiss the ar$e of their master is a welcome relief for them.

Their countries are reeling under an epidemic, yet, going for an ill timed and unproductive sleep summit is what they deem important at this time.

Nah...expect nothing from these bunch of vision-less critters
