sarrki:Nah. Nobody is brainwashing the youths. More than anything else, it was Bubu's utterances after he won the election that galvanized the teeming youths into action. In the history of this country, no president has ever said he would exclude those who didn't vote for him from benefitting from his government. Bubu didn't say this in the privacy of his room while sipping his kunu, neither did he say it while in an angry outburst. Rather, he did this during an international media event. Can you beat that? He spoke his mind to the whole world. Its not just his words. His actions has betrayed that he has very little love for those people. Remember that there are people in the SE and SS who voted for APC too. He has effectively told his supporters in those regions to take a dive into the Atlantic. |
emynike2001:This, brother, is simply your bad luck. Yes, your bad luck that among the millions of good and honest people all over the country, you keep meeting the horrible ones. There is this igbo proverb, that when transliterated, says, "One does not avoid going into warfare because of the fear of death" Would you say that due to seeming dislike for each other (according to you) a people shouldn't come together to forge their own destiny? Has a Nigerian state shown the rest of the minority tribes this brotherly love you are trying to describe? At least I know that nobody in igbo land would slaughter his kinsmen over religious difference. As for the "jazz matter" you described, every tribe practice it. Too bad yours came from someone of same tribe as you. ![]() To me, Biafra isn't the eldorado most misguided folks think it would be. But nobody has the right to deny the people a referendum and self actualization. |
sarrki:See, that's the mistake you lots always make: to believe that the concept or entity called Biafra depends on the outcome of Kanu's incarceration. For the enlightened ones, Biafra resides in the heart and spirit of every man and woman who bears a connection and kindred spirit with it. Kanu is just one among the millions of these people. Fact is, the struggle has gone beyond Kanu, who to me, is just a rabble rouser. His death or incapacitation will not slow down or drown the struggle. Only a reasonable government who is willing to include and listen to the agitating masses would begin to convince the people that a Biafra isn't the solution to the problem. Buhari certainly isn't that government. What's funny and disgusting is how folks from the SW are always telling Igbos to go back to their homeland, but whenever Biafra is mentioned, they begin to have running stomach ![]() |
zanebaddo:You know, I have given this a thought several times. Such an action is the loudest way to tell them criminal politicians that we are fed up. Mass boycott! Civil disobedience! But.....it's a pipe dream. The chances of this happening in this country is almost zero, because not everyone of us follows the dictates of his conscience. There are vested interests in election and politics. Many will still troop out to vote, not because they believe the politicians will deliver, but because they and the contestants are of same kindred, tribe, religion, or even because they were persuaded with a kilogram of rice and a liter of cooking oil. |
rymzo228:Do you think you need to review this thread? Do you still insist that a budget of 9m can complete a similar structure such as this? |
![]() Gwadabe said biometric registration of BDCs and subsequent funding was ongoing. He said this move would lead the naira to the path of recovery All these voodoo policies can't do squat. They keep applying band aids to a festering sore. What magic has their shallow and half-assed moves performed since they came on board? What makes them think they can control the finance, when they have no control and very little contribution to international trade. |
And you take this to be a "serious" advert, for serious investors? I see no usable information in your post. |
spyder880:You don't even need to go into this detailed scenario. Everyone conversant with the peculiar power situation in Nigeria won't bother to ask that question he did concerning lifts. Buildings with lifts MUST have a powerful generator dedicated to it 24/7. Some offices on the island in Lagos I visited usually power such generators during peak traffic periods only, which is usually in the morning when workers are arriving, and in the afternoon when they are leaving. As a result of this, most of the workers in the higher floors don't bother to go outside the building during office hours, else they have to use the stairs. I climbed to the 12th floor and back during one of such visits That's not a workout for those who aren't physically fit. |
obstead200:That Abagworo fellow is a known sycophant. I believe he gets paid to defend IMSG online, especially here on NL. To him, Okorocha can do no wrong. It's so pathetic to see the way he vigorously defends what would make a 7 year old puke in disgust. |
Pavore9:Bros, do you know what you are sitting on? Isn't it possible you understudy him and sort of become his west Africa representative? All you have to do is set it up for few customers in rural and urban areas, plus with a lot of online and offline ads, and I'm sure you would get a lot of demands. I am aware of another guy who is into something similar in Lagos. Goes by the name of Jobaiye gas or something like that. He also has an account on NL. Bottom line, the market in west Africa subregion is much bigger than east Africa. |
skimanski:Beautiful! |
Hi, skimanski. Can you share with us what the roof of this structure is going to be made of? I'm thinking its concrete, from the flat appearance. Am I wrong? Do tell. I'm loving this! |
opsynea2j:Price? Interior and engine pics, pls. |
SafeDavid:Don't know why I'm gonna bother with a reply to you. Obviously, you know zilch about human physiology. He can lose a leg but still stay alive. But a severed major artery will make him bleed out and die within minutes. |
He's losing so much blood! This boy may die in a few more minutes if that bleeding is not stopped. The accident likely ruptured an artery. |
After years of nobody disturbing them, the fishes have grown so huge! After a few more months of intensive fishing, they won't get as much bountiful harvests anymore ![]() I guess the period of enjoyment and holidays for the aquatic life there is finally over. |
lanre2009:You see, my grandma didn't get much education. So, I was amazed when, one time she paid us a visit in Lagos, she complained how the roof of the house we lived in was made from asbestos sheet. I asked her why. She said rainwater collected from asbestos roof are not safe to drink. I asked how come? Her reply was, asbestos are harmful, and they can kill ![]() That smiley was exactly my reaction when she said this. I didn't believe her. Years later, somewhere in Ogun state, while overseeing a property under construction, one architect lamented how most of the buildings in that estate had asbestos roof. that piqued my curiosity once more, and I asked him what the problem was. He told me that asbestos are carcinogenic, and had been banned in many countries! Now, I became alarmed. Was my almost illiterate grandma now of blessed memory, right all along? So, I did my own independent findings, and the facts are there for everyone to see: Asbestos are toxic. You've got access to the internet, so, do a simple Google search. Here's just one among thousands of links you will find: https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/causes-prevention/risk/substances/asbestos/asbestos-fact-sheet |
heryour64:Hi. I can see that you used asbestos for collecting the rabbit droppings and urine. If you intend to use it as manure, then you should know that this is dangerous. Asbestos is highly toxic, and introducing it into any food chain is not advised. |
Ok. And he already has his pepper soup plate in his hand. What else is new, other than these beautiful creatures becoming extinct soon. |
ik4life:Great. There's an art to advertising property online that most people don't get right. Do it properly and give every pertinent information concerning it, and you would see people who didn't plan on buying just coming to pay for it. Its the good info attracted them to it. All the best. |
He probably went to a high-end barber shop in an up scale neighborhood. Did he expect it any cheaper than that? Go to Chinedu's or Segun's hole in the wall shop in one obscure part of London, and you'll spend not more than 20 pounds. You'll help do free PR to boost their business too! Quit complaining. You went there to get the cut because you knew you can afford to. |
ik4life:No problem, you can post the info here. It will be good if you have pictures of the location too, showing the proximity with the road, as well as the vicinity. |
Na wah o. Is there a declaration of war against these beautiful creatures? |
ik4life:Can you send me more info about this? Size of each plot, title document and price. I just sent you a pm |
Typical Africans. Just killed such a majestic creature that posed no threat to you. Imagine their foolish comments: we had to kill it to secure our lives and protect the ‘big man’s’ cattle |
Do you have a job? |
![]() Couldn't help but laugh at that second picture....him trying to shove his tongue down the wife's throat. He should remember how sweet his woman once was, and go back to making things right between them. Yes, women can provoke you by saying and doing every manner of weird things. Once you learn to ignore them and rather walk away, you take the wind off their sails, and become a better man in the process. |
This inept clown has been in the camp of PDP since they took power in 1999. He never made such complains then. But step into APC, where blaming the previous administration is their motto, he began to sing this tune with gusto. Did rice consumption in Nigeria suddenly doubled or tripled since APC took over? What won't this vagabonds in power lay their blame on eventually? This is just disgusting. Everything they do so far has shown that the have no clue as to what policy steps to take, and in what direction to head. Perhaps he didn't also know that dollars would be needed when he advocated for importing grasses to feed cattle. |
After dispatching the helpless serpent with a machete, you described the action as "caught". It was just out searching for it's daily bread...just like you. Please, live and let live. |
As reported by a big and "reputable" newspaper with nationwide coverage! How is this lame and apologetic piece any better than what a high school kid toying with operating a blog could have come up with? Thank goodness I'm not stupid enough to purchase these worthless piece of rags called naija newspapers. |
The sad tale of a country that had lost its way a long time ago. Same way there was excess supply of tomatoes that all got wasted, before the tuta absoluta epidermic wiped off what what was left. Nigeria is in such messed up state, I tell ya. No need to keep complaining. I can't build the roads, I can't construct the railways, but I can exploit an opportunity when I see one. |
