I have a conference invitation for Belgium. Challenge is the scare of this 3-5 months visa I'm hearing. That's main reason I'm being skeptical. How true is this ?

Anyone done anything on Belgium visas lately ? I see 14 days on VFS website and instead a whole lot of people been complaining of 3-5 months processing, and still they'd deny visa.

Kindly let me know how true this is.

US embassy hardly care for documents. Why? Because documents can be faked. So the DS-160 form is the precursor and the interview is the final piece to confirm what they would have made of the person and the reasoning behind the applicants need for a visa to the states. So prepare your form as well as you can, truthfully but most importantly prepare for the interview even better by knowing what information is on your form, your travel dates, your places of visit, your employment status (responsibilities, salary, experience, career prospects) etc. Be confident and answer questions with facts and to the point. Don't act panicky, sad, desperate or try to embarrass the VO.

Well i mentioned those because i felt he just needs to understand documentation one way or the other helps, yes it can be faked, but at least if he has that , like someone said on here , make sure that everything matches. hence the questions am asking.

@Obernix, I suggest you get a conference related to your skill, or look for a school. Tons and tons of them use WAEC /Neco, you can enter change state and go to another school or do something else that benefits you, who knows.

Thing is , i have both Study visa I-20 and Visitor (Conference) just confused of which i should follow

It is possible to get an off campus Job but you will need a special permit for that, however it is quite difficult to get otherwise almost everybody will ask for it.

Transfer from F1 to H1B is also possible but it is getting more difficult as well as most employers here will outright demand you are a permanent resident even before they consider you for anything. But a discipline in a very specialised area in STEM will help a great deal.

Good , i have a discipline in Computer sciences , apparently i am a Programmer / Solutions Architect with a Major Bank in Nigeria. I work as a vendor for them. I also have skills with Penetration Testing and using Kali and all that, and currently thinking of writing an Exam with CiSA probably CISSP

Bankers without travel history and are not married barely scale through but not in all cases, you might be lucky.

That said, going by your initial question, I do think you are good to go. I guess you just have to be confident and know much about the conference you are going for and how it translates to your improvement.
