yes just the frequency, symbol rate and polarity matters

trek4000: Strong has introduced another Mpeg4 free to air decorder which according to them is as good as the 4930 its just that its purely free to air its being called the srt 4920. Try and check it out.

connect a LAN cable from ur router to ur strong, then go to system setting, ip setting and put the DHCP usage on then scan

this is a piece of advice.. D money to be used in buyin usb wireless, use it to buy wireless router.. U won't regret it.

i don't think this is a good idea.. Btw, are u downloading it wit a java phone? Cos there are lots of unzip app there.. Unzip softwares are easily affected by virus.

freshp: your Dlink may not work with the Stb b'cos the huawei and zte . have the show...i doubt if your device is supported.

ayolacz: you guys are underusing ur 4922A. Just go for software version 1.19. It addresses the issue of low signal level in the rx. Dont go for the official software found on strong website,they are traps to kill the fake rx and patch softwares either thru personal or OTA download. I once fell victim of official software,it kiled off my rx but had to wake it up again thru firmware reset.

1.19 and 1.22 which one is greater

kd10: @All i have made this observations about 4922A HD Stb.The out laying with 1.21 Software is impresive,Picture Qaulity powerful,The internet not bad, The seize of the box comfortably slim & Pocket friendly but it has one major problem.Low sensitivity. 3- Etv hyde park signal on SES 5 is all Red on 4922A but when i Connect it on 4669x its Green with live Picture on one of the Frq12709v04429 while the other two will remain Green but if i connect it back to 4922A it goes Red again. Gurus any idea?
