May be youy need to go thru my few posts on nairaland since 2012...... I said it then, and I will say it again: The career path for any non native in germany is IT. [s]Those who take my advice serious will appreciate it, and those who dont will know the polarity of the job market when they graduate.
[/s]

Of course i have read your post even right from when i was in Nigeria. What you do mean by the bolded clarify.
If you want to advice people here please do..... no come dey form pastor for here cool cool

It has been said here the key to surviving in Germany is the language. Even if you are an IT personnel without the language, you still will experience the polarity of the job market when you want to grow. Trust me i know what i am saying.

The pathways after your studies
Job-seeker post-study work permit (§16-4) which is valid for 18 months (other conditions apply). The 18 month may look as though it is much; well, it is not.....You should get a graduate level job within this period or re-enroll for another academic program..Note that if you reenroll for another program and change ur visa to study visa(§16)you have to wait till you finish that program before and then go back to (§16-4), it is not possible for you to return back to (§16-4) or any other visa after renrolling.

The next possibility is to get a qualified job even if the pay is as low as €1700 and apply for a employment/economic visa under (§18). The secret of this class of visa is the responsibilities stated on the job contract. The responsibilities must be professional job duties which requires some level of academic qualification (also, dont be intimidated that the job does not correspond with your course of study: it does not have to; though varies from city to city bureaucracies.... The difference between (§16-4) and (§18) is that the number of months or years under (§16-4) does not count when you want to apply for permanent residence under (§18b). If you are under (§18) for 24 month (which of course you will be pazing taxes and social contribution) then you can get your permanent residence under (§18b).
Another catastrophic mistake some other people make is to apply for (§16) instead of (§18)when they have a paid PhD position. Note that a paid PhD position is a job (as you will be given a written job contract as a research assistant by ur institute. This will be a big mistake because you cant reapply or change it to (§18), which means you are astudent till u finish ur PhD and then go back to square 1 (§16-4). But if you are wise to get (§18) then by the time or before you finish ur PhD you can get ur permanent residence......

The next writeup I will discuss the secrets of the blue card and how I crawlled into that class......
Stay put..
Jejet

Your write up sound so interesting on paper but in reality it's a different ball game.
Getting a blue card may sound easy but in reality it isn't. The only exception to this rule is if you studied a course in STEM field. Any other course you will require a very good German language skill to nail a dream job. Mind you there is a salary cap you must earn in other to get a permanent residence permit

How much do u get? Cause I know a person who gets 300-450 euros according to her. Unless of course they re lying. Don't know much abt gov support. I don't use it. And I don't have kids.
Oh right I placed a call. She gets 360 euros for 2 kids. She has 3 children. 190 euros extra for the third kid. both parents are Nigerian.
Well the later information is a little bit correct. As a rule until the children turn 18, though it can continue until they are 25 if they are still in school. You get €184 per month for each of the first two children, €190 for the third child and €215 for each subsequent one but the amount you get is relatively not much to sustain you and your children.

I don't have kids and I'm also not German but I have integrated a little bit to know a lot about the social system. It sucks if you don't intend to spend the rest of your life here.

Um well yes some people live off the government without tax. This happens when they have no job and u have responsibilities and stuff so they declare bankruptcy and ask for support from d government. But of course they stop it after a while if they see u are unwilling to work. I don't know about the pregnancy thing but [s]I know u get 300- 450 euros from the gov when u have a child.[/s] Even if u have a job. This is a general thing for people who have kids. Whether working or bankrupt. We now pay 25-30 percent tax and in the end of the year we get some money back. It all depends individually.

That is not true, Kindergeld is not as much as that.

Yes it is compulsory to wrote write it grin grin grin grin. It's an entrance exam just like JAMB but not structured same way like it.
You require a very strong command in German to scale thru and B1 will not get you there, trust me i know what i am saying.

Please my interview is soon. I'm going for Bsc
1) I need to know if the declaration of age done by myself would be acceptable or the one done by my parents on my behalf. Since in the checklist on their website requires the former
2)is primary school certificate important for the interview
3) I don't have any old biographic docs.

Please help answer this. Thanks as Always

1.Haba how can you declare your age by yourself? na you born yourself?

2. primary school cert is irrelevant but if you have it, you can as well add it.
3. forget about that one. it wasn't important when i was interviewed.

Some may have applied, but it's rare to find, because even in Germany the course has a national numerus clausus, so I believe this may be the reason why, also I do not think you can easily find a medical course without at least a B1 German knowlege requirement but notwithstanding you could search the daad to see if you can find English taught medicine programs.
My two onions. Cheers.
Medicine is a competitive course and you require at least 1.5 from your Arbitur to be considered. With German skill i would say C1 is the minimum requirement.

zeeblamj:

Studienkolleg is a one year preparation for ur studies . That is, if u know zero German and u are going for a German course. It is usually a good thing. They teach German as well as other subjects related to ur course of study and then in the end of the year u will write an exam. After then u can start ur course. U may already have B1 in German by then which makes studying even easier.

with B1 knowledge you need extra hard work to pass the Aufnahmeprüfung.

So u mean u don't want to pay the 8040 euros. That's when u must get a resident in Germany to be ur sponsor . This person can't be a student oo. And I think most people on this thread are students. I am not but I am already responsible for two people.

Calm down no boil stone with your body temperature.

Understanding your first comment and the reply you gave me was not an easy task. So if he was unable to comprehend you, i believe it was based on how you stringed your information together.

well there is something called a blocked account with Deautsch bank. Getting 8040 euros in it is normally enough sponsorship. Have this and u can verbally say ur parents are sponsoring u in ur interview or whatever. They know u will get a small job when u start schooling anyway. Nobody necessarily needs to swear that he is responsible for u.

Okay.

Guys I seriously need some advice.

A friend of mine in paderborn told me how problematic paderborn ausländerborhorde is but don't believe I would have some problem.

I got some more questions from Nigeria embassy from the aliens office.

I need to know the motives and some tips on what to say. Though some questions here is personal and I know what to say. But seriously need your input.

I think I answered all this question during interview. But this one's coming straight from aliens office. Some question I think is unnecessary

with regards to your visa application, please be informed that the Aliens Authority of your future place of residence would like you to answer some additional questions:

1. During the interview, you stated that you are going to finance the stay in Germany on your own. Please specify how you will come up for the requested financial means.

2. Why would you like to deepen your German language first and then study in English language?

3. What advantages are you going to take for your personal future by studying in Germany?

Regards
Number 1 is simple.
Number 2 question is very tricky. I believe, they think you plan to stay after your study that is why you want to deepen your German skills.
Number 3 should be a piece of cake for you if you wrote a motivational essay during your application.

Your visa will be decided on Question 2. Wish i could come up with something for you.
Anyway wish you all the best.

U do realize that what ur talking about is just not a letter. It's some kind of sworn affidavit . And if somebody takes responsibility for u and u mess up, that person is held responsible. U normally don't need a sponsor if u have ur 8040 euros and other necessary documents. Will be hard for u to find a person who will give u that cert without knowing u very well. My advise, if u have family who has at least 10 million Naira on his Acc, that person can be ur sponsor. He doesn't have to live in Germany.

How? Explain

I received the notification from DB yesterday-exactly 4 days after using Union bank for the form A process. So I guess you all who havent received a confirmation should exercise some patience.

House, I used my Karlsruhe admission for the visa interview but I used my Munich admission to process the 8090euros. Will I face any challenges with the visa or there is no problem?

Also, can anyone please explain the issue of changing schools when we arrive at Germany.

Thanks
Absolutely no Problem.
Once you are in Germany move to your preferred school and enroll.
you can now use your enrollment certificate to convert your Visa to a resident permit.

In essence, wait till your 3 months visa from Nigeria is about to expire before you renew?

And for further clarifications, one can work with the 3 months visa from Nigeria pending when the much more permanent work permit is out, or do people in your own area take up a temporary one?
I have gotten conflicting and confusing views on this, may be its based on location.
However, no think say you go escape the interview, even if na in two years time, we full ground dey wait for you.

@zeeblamj, choi!! your answers eh!! so insightful with an effortless flair. I didn't even know you were a Lady self, the straight way you hit these issues with a hustlers' mode.
Thanks for adding value to this honourable forum.

@Oga justwise, no vex, I know sabi this quote things now, I go go find the nairaland manual.
