Ugosample: True! Life is harsh everywhere. But we can not compare the harshness of some region/continent to another. If Europe is walking on thin ice, then the US is no longer walking but falling Do you know the amount of US citizens with Student debt loans, how many Americans can boast of a total health coverage insurance? America like you said can do better, but Europe will fall off totally in the coming decade, can you see how biased this is. The US is the Land to be if you want to live in debts/paycheck to paycheck. 6 Likes |

NONNYG:The US as they say is an overhyped country. How can you explain, the extreme poverty amongst its citizen, the wage gap difference between the rich and poor, humans living in gehttos just like Nigeria. And besides not all roads are tarred, you have bad roads too,.......... See i can Go on and on. The American Media has helped portray the US to be a paradise as a Sort, but in reality, life is harsh over there. 6 Likes |

Beautyaddy:yes i live in Europe, not just any country, but the heart and heart beat of Europe. And i can tell you, i feel safe, guns are hard to comeby, i was never a night crawler, but here you can walk and use the trains whenever. I won't say it is 100% safe, but it is sure better than the US. Then you have the health insurance policy, the US is a no no for me. 8 Likes |

Mayfav: And this came out of a 2.1 graduate indeed?? SPEECHLESS. The problem with the world is that everyone does not have a brain, but everyone does have a tongue. Insulting and name-calling online say a lot about your intelligence. I need not say more. I will not argue with you, because stupid people, will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience. And just like Darwin said, ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge. Enjoy your spotlight. 1 Like |

stanwheellz: My small bits, it helped me and it may help you too, 1) Sign up on codeacademy, choose a path and complete it. 2) Look for books to compliment what you do not understand. ( Illegal: library genesis ) 3) Practice(take up a small project (to do app) and code your way thru it, it may be a copy-paste work, but make sure you type every code. 4) Try and add some functionality to the code. This deepens your understanding of the concept 5) If you have issues, use google, stackoverflow. 6) Repeat step 2, 4, 5 If you have money, register at Pluralsight and choose your path. Finally, you definitely will repeat step 2,4,5,6 should you register on any Video tutorial site. Youtube is good but it's really difficult filtering junk from hardcore stuff. If you are interested in Web design, follow Traversy Media on youtube, he is good. All in all, you need motivation, dedication, and discipline to scale thru. NB: look for a friend to start the journey, it is always easier for two heads to crack a nut. 10 Likes 6 Shares |

bekeechidi: I would choose Netherlands, reasons 1). Good Weather 2). Friendly citizens 3). They know how to party 4). Large African community.(you will need this) 5). Beautiful ladies 6). The language is easier to learn 7). Chances of getting a job after Study(depends on what you studied). And when you get there, do not call the whole country Holland. Some citizens don't like it. Holland is a province in the Netherlands. 2 Likes 1 Share |

123JohnF: You know what, I will call you out for who you are. You joined Nairaland on April 1, 2019, created your first topic ( Tourism and Immigration: The devil knows the difference). The thread itself is filled with trash, no one answered you because they saw the trolling messages in your post. You have been mainly active in the travel section; which in itself is not bad, but all your comments connotate negativity and bitterness. You now went ahead, just so your ego/ass can be licked; created this thread with hidden intentions. But smart people here will read between the lines. Nigeria is corrupt, YES. Nigeria is poor, YES. Nigeria is filled with fraud, YES. Nigeria is dirty, YES Nigerians are immigrating, YES We all know this, what is the essence of this thread if you want to debate already known issues without proffering solutions. I am just saying things the way they are, if you take offense, go boil stone. 2 Likes |

123JohnF:Whoever said your English is good, is only rubbing your ego. First, go and learn proper English and stop using Google translate, then we can have an intelligent discourse void of any bias. I am Nigerian, where are you from? You are nothing but a white chauvinist, trolling an African Forum, looking for someone to lick your ego/ass. 2 Likes |

123JohnF:Imagine an African continent, not invaded by white colonialist, everyone living happily, hunting animals and feeding each other on farm produce they grow, No slave trade (Arab, European) Imagine all the Gold, Tin, Oi...etc left untapped and Africans living happily in their mud houses. Shallow thinking.... You actually sound like someone who is heartbroken, or bitter because a Nigerian like they say showed you pepper. Go and read your history properly, Nigerians are not the only immigrants who leave mother Africa, other nationalities also migrate into the continent. Do you know how many Asians are living and working in Africa? Do you know how many Americans are living and working in Europe? People immigrate for a different reasons, your argument is very shallow if you think Nigerians immigrate to only wealthy countries
As I said, you sound bitter. A word of advice, admit that you feel bitter. You've got to know it's there and face it in order to leave it behind. No offense. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

123JohnF: Honestly, I have been reading your thread and the replies therein, but what you want to pass across doesn't sound coherent(no offense). In Nigeria, English is the official language, if someone tries to understand what you mean semantically, it is because he actually doesn't understand what you are trying to buttress. And since English is also not your first language, I see no reason why you should take offense, should someone try to question your use of it. Even this post I quoted, I am still trying to decode its entire meaning NB: Nigeria is a country filled with several ethnic groups with different languages, values beliefs. How many ethnic groups do you have in your country? If you want to know why the country is such a mess today, you should have simply asked directly without comparing the country to YOUR western country. 2 Likes 1 Share |

LilMissFavvy: The bone of contention here is kitchen etiquette, asking an elderly person to do dishes shows such a kid lacks kitchen etiquette. And if you do ask your father to do his dishes after eating, then good for you. Hopefully, your daughter will ask you to cook and wash their laundry for them, while they slay around. |
