Butterflyleo: Hahahahaha I have seen it all. Winner01 come and read please ooo I don't want to laugh alone. I wonder what gives an atheist the moral grounds to blame anyone. Superhumanist, in case you haven't noticed, you and a terrorist in this "accidental universe" have equal rights. That you choose to borrow from the christian morality and live like a normal human being is your business, a terrorist has all the rights to crack open the heads of other accidental beings. You do not have the right to call him to order. He's acting in his own interest. |

superhumanist: Let's test your intelligence
1. You argue that atheism is a belief
2. You don't accept that evolution is true
3. You are a christian but argue for a deistic god.
4. You once started a debate about god and refused to give your definition of god.
My guy, if you were on TV in the UK with these views, you would be mocked for the dumbass you are. Thoss points are your own making. I wonder where you got those from. |

CoolUsername: Every agnostic atheist is proof. I just have you proof. You're the one trying to reclassify it. I can say I'm a billionaire without actually being one. That you call yourself an agnostic atheist means nothing. Anyone can call himself anything. Give me proof where atheists question atheism. |

darkchild64: A lot of Christians especially those on nairaland feel that anyone who is not a Christian is filthy, disgusting and foolish, they feel that anyone who doesn't believe what they do is headed for eternal torment in hell fire,so fine let me give them the chance to tell me why I should become a Christian
p.s Pls as much as possible make matured and reasonable comments The word "Christians" mean "People who strive to be like Christ". Christ did not call nonbelievers filthy, disgusting or condemn them to hell. He ate and drank with them, he showed them love and care. He protected a prostitute, He prayed for a robber in his death. He came for Sinners. This is Whom Christians want to emulate. You can see now and decide for yourself who is being a Christian or not. |

Butterflyleo: Agnostic atheism is the most ridiculous claim ever known to man.
Atheism is a rejection of God
Agnosticism is saying that the nature of God is unknown and nobody can ever know if God exists.
An agnostic does not say God does not exist but rather says he does not know. While an atheist says God does not exist.
Saying you are an agnostic atheist is silly. It's like saying " God does not exist and his nature cannot be known "
How can you talk about the nature of a thing despite saying it does not exist.
One cannot be an atheist and an agnostic at the same time.
Agnosticism in the most common current sense is the failure to take a view about the existence of God (or gods). An agnostic specifically withholds judgment both from the proposition that God exists and from the proposition that God does not exist. In other words, an agnostic lacks a belief that God exists and an agnostic also lacks a belief that God does not exist. If you wish, you could say that an agnostic has not made up his mind.
Atheism, again in the most common current sense, means the view or position that God does not exist.
mark the difference . Aptly put. Thanks Brother. |

CoolUsername: This is you just being dishonest. Atheism is the lack of belief in God. If an atheist can assert that he doesn't know for certain that God doesn't exist then he must have at least pondered the question. In other words you have no proof of atheists questioning atheism Why then have you been meandering |
Christianity Etc › Re: Is The Atheist's Mind Free Enough To Question Atheism? by winner01(op): 2:35pm On Mar 25, 2018 |
Butterflyleo: An agnostic is not necessarily an atheist. An agnostic is simply a skeptic. What they say is that "they don't know if God exists but they are sure Yahweh does not exist". Such a foolish comment. Very foolish. |

CoolUsername: From the article,
In 1885 Robert G. Ingersoll, popularly known as "The Great Agnostic", explained his comparative view of agnosticism and atheism as follows: The Agnostic is an Atheist. The Atheist is an Agnostic. The Agnostic says, ‘I do not know, but I do not believe there is any God.’ The Atheist says the same.
Don't atheists on this forum frequently express similar views? "I do not know" is not Questioning atheism. Show me examples of atheists questioning atheism. |

superhumanist: The very notion of Russell's teapot is an example. It is an argument against atheism also.
It is an agnostic argument because it posits that we can never disprove if there is a giant teapot in space even if it is highly unlikely.
The same way we can never disprove God existing outside the universe even though it is highly unlikely for him to exist.
This stops some atheists from saying that they can disprove all god's. Some atheists are agnostic towards certain god's. This is an extremely foolish reply. |

Pr0ton: This is the problem! You theists are dunces! Yeah right, more than 90% of the worlds population are dunces. You are the only rational beings Pr0ton: This is the problem! You theists are dunces! So your brain can't make you see that lack and rejection can be two sides of a coin? Let me think for you. You can lack and reject the belief in Superman. Lack in that you don't have it, and reject in that you don't accept it when opined to you. You will still be on your same stance - no belief in Superman. Coat it all you want, real atheists lack a belief and they don't scavenge religion sections to accuse religious people of opining their beliefs to them. How am I opining a belief to you on a religion section? In your stupid logic of lack and reject, I can further include "attack" and you'll still be on your same stance You're lonely man, go get help. Pr0ton: You are a big f0ol to think no atheist has created a thread against politics and the likes. And I'll be a bigger one to join you in the search for such threads. You have been defeated in your argument and started turning tail. Keep swimming in your guff alone! Swim and drown! Atheists don't question any other thing apart from religion and most certainly, they don't question atheism. This is why you spend your life on a religion section accusing religious people of opining their beliefs to you. This is what we observe and keep observing. Question marriage, question atheism! |

Rockyrascal: The truth is most of the self acclaimed atheist especially the ones here on nairaland lives in the reality of the holy spirit without even realizing that. But we all should regard one another irrespective of one's believe and not necessarily force your believe on people but convince them in the best way you can. Many atheists don't believe this method. |
