May be you should get your example somewhere else because there is never a report that, that inscription has made any God-hating atheist raise any eyebrow or sue the inscription because it was never religious based. If truly FIFA has placed a sanction on religious inscriptions amongst football players, then its only logical that the sanctions be tighter when it involves a football club and its stadium. God ideas especially should not be visible nor spread, don't you think

Atheists complain often about religious people trying to force their God ideas down their throats in neutral settings such as schools, markets, workplaces etc and they have voiced out in several developed countries in order to protect themselves and their children from the "poison" of religion. Even though most people don't take them seriously, they take offences easily and make serious legal cases against religious activities, religious statues etc in developed countries. A few examples are shown below:

Its only in Nigeria and maybe nairaland that we have toothless dogs atheists, foreign atheists will take offence at almost any religious exercise, even a christmass banner and take legal action.

Well, we must give credit to Christianity and the freedom associated with it. They dare not try these in Islamic countries or even Buddhist countries and other religious environments else they will pay dearly.


Many people have theorized that because of the terribly minimal population of world atheists (2-5% of world's population), they try viciously to make their voices heard by means such as taking offences, making legal cases, teaming up with people with special sexual orientations, toxic feminists etc, all in a bid to increase their numbers and thereby make their voices heard.


So far I'm yet to see any objection from atheists to this phrase used by Barcelona fans in Camp Nou, especially considering the fact that even less harmful phrases have been heavily criticized by god-hating atheists in [url=https://www.google.com.ng/amp/s/www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/2018/january/atheists-seek-end-to-high-school-football-prayer-mdash-but-just-watch-the-amazing-way-these-students-react%3famp]developed countries[/url] and even here on nairaland religion section.


Yet, many atheists seem undisturbed by "deluded" religious people forcing down their the idea of a God down their throats in a neutral setting such as Camp Nou, Barcelona. It really got me thinking about why this could be so. I came up with just 3 possible reasons:

1. No one really cares, its just a sport.
But if this is the case, there have been atheistic organizations that fight against such prayer in a sports team.
2. It will constitute a nuisance if atheist voice out their discontent and people will see them for the "attention seeking" lot that they really are.
3. Atheists have no issues with religious people doing their thing in their religious circles, they are only concerned if religious people try to put their ideas to them in a neutral setting.
But the Barca vs Chelsea atmosphere was a perfect example of a neutral setting, and the Nairaland religion section is supposed to be an example of a religious circle. Yet we see actions contradicting this point.




I found the second possible reason most plausible. Several attention seeking atheists, as evident on nairaland, would rather cowardly pleasure in dwelling on a religious circle to spread their hatred for God and dehumanize God loving people, instead of addressing a set of persons spreading their God ideas in a neutral setting, reaching a larger number of people. What if atheist children were present at the Camp Nou stadium or watched the game on TV.
Doing this will obviously make the world see them for the attention seeking lot which they are and so its best to hide in religious circles and ridicule religious people and their beliefs.
The writing in the Camp Nou stadium is just one great example out of many, there are several other footballers, some of which are shown below, who have also demonstrated "deluded" religious activities and gestures on a neutral pitch. Activities and gestures which are enough for god-hating atheists to take offense and voice out. Unfortunately, cowards choose their battles carefully.

Finally and I've said this before, majority of reasonable people do not really care what you don't believe or what you once believed. People care what you do believe and what you can do. This is one of the reasons why atheism has gained little traction throughout the history of humanity.
Many atheists on nairaland and in many parts of the world are specialized talkatives and nothing more. Only a microscopic percentage of atheists really show the world what they can do, people like Hawkings for instance. Ironically, the majority of atheists rely on what religious people can do and then bash them when they bring their religion into it. Sam Harris is a great example.

If atheists are all they claim to be, "science oriented, covered in logic, baptized in reason, forerunners of development, custodians of truth etc. The world would have taken seriously the products of the small percentage of world atheists and begin to consider atheism as a valid worldview which promotes development since most atheists argue that religion represses development. The arguments for atheism till date has still not disproved it as a bleak, hopeless, worthless, senseless and odious worldview. I'm hoping atheists can work more and show us what they can do rather than attempt to cowardly bully religious people to accept their empty views. Maybe then, the world will begin to consider the importance of atheism, if there's indeed any.

The doctors gave him 2yrs to live; you would have spent those 2 yrs in the church if it were you, but he never gave up on his atheistic views and went on to achieve what you will only read in papers. He lived for decades more than was expected and I am sure you would have called it God's miracle if he was a christian.

Miracles are not confined to Christianity. There were many people in the Bible who did not worship God and lived long in prosperity and good health. Jesus and all his disciples did not live up to 76 years.
