Hello house, I’ve just joined this forum and I’ve read all the information posted here. Thank you all so much for sharing such insightful info.

I have a question before I proceed with applying for COS. Does age matter? Can a 56 year old get a visa if she gets a COS? I will appreciate if anyone can relate experiences or facts about this…. Please.

Many thanks

Hello house,
I'm so happy for everyone who has collected their visas. For all of us waiting, just remember that God is in control OK?
Does anyone have any solid news about the lockdown in the UK? Any news of when they are going on lockdown?

We're in the same boat. I applied for priority and got a decision mail on Sept 11, and nothing till now.

I don't think calling TLS would help. I've been there three times to complain, and all they say is talk to UKVI, and that they (TLS) are just third-parties.

I called UKVI today and requested that they send a reminder to the DMC, which they said they have done. I'll suggest you do the same. The lady also mentioned that they seem to have gotten a lot of applications and that a lot of delays have been happening. I don't know if she was just saying that to calm me down, or that's the truth.

You can reach UKVI at +44 20 3481 1736. But bear in mind they'll charge you 1.38 pounds per minute (in addition to your standard call charges). Let's know what they say if you call them.

This is very frustrating but no problem. I'll call them.

Priority service....
Biometrics done on the 15th of sept
Decision mail 18th sept...
Till now, my documents have not been sent back to TLs.

I don't know what to do. I can't concentrate to do anything.
How do I get a refund whenever I get my passport?
And yes I have sent them a reminder twice.
Who has any TLS number I can call as well please?

What? This is crazy oo. It is well

Its so not funny anymore. If it goes beyond this, they should please give me a refund! I just feel like I wasted the 220 pounds I paid for priority. What's this?

Hello everyone....
Please I don't know what to do or think anymore. I did my biometrics on 15th of September and I got an email that a decision has been made on the 18th (I opted for the priority service). Since then till now, I have not got any collection email.

If they have made a decision on my application? Why is it taking so much time to transfer my documents to TLS?

I went there on Tuesday and they said they don't have it yet. Other people who applied alongside me have gotten their passports back.

Is anyone experiencing this? Honestly I cant put one and one together.

I am just confused.
This year is crazy though. If we still decide to defer to January, how are we even sure things won't get worse by then?. My goodness!
Anyway unless the embassy shuts down again, I'll just go ahead with the visa plans. I can travel whenever I feel its safe enough. Sha give me the visa... I'm not in a hurry

Thank you guys so much for all your replies. I figured the statement of result won't be a problem as it will be listed on my CAS letter. I'll have to find someone in the UK with a good rate then.
Thanks guys.

I have followed this thread for so long, I almost know every name on here. The pressure and anxiety has been surreal. Thank you guys, you all do an amazing job with all the information you provide here daily.

Quick one: Is any Northumbria university Newcastle candidate here? Please send me a mail on owunnawinifrede@gmail.com to link up. Let's do this thing together please....

Guys, I've not been able to make deposit for my tuition fees or to at least get my CAS processed because, my banks insisted that they need my BSc school certificate (I don't have that yet) or a certified true copy of my statement of result.
Now, I do have my original statement of result. With a signature and a seal (for goodness sake). They also do not want it certified by a court and my school is on lockdown.

I've explored for other alternatives, you know send money to someone in the UK to make a transfer to the school while I pay into their naira account but the least exchange rate I'm getting is almost 600 naira per GBP.

Someone tell me what to do please.

PLEASE I NEED YOUR RESPONSE ON THIS OOOO.. HELP A BROTHER ABEG..
Good Afternoon beautiful people of God.. Pease I have a friend that have an emergency official travel to make outside Nigeria and required his international passport to travel but has already submitted his application to Ireland Embassy. My question is that is it possible for him to write to the embassy requesting for his international passport for the official travel and later return it back to the embassy. Secondly hope it will not affect his visa application.

Please I need your response

God bless

They will make you sign that you urgently want your passport even though they are not done processing your visa.
Just forward a mail to the Abuja embassy in whether you can get it back.

Hmm....tho i don't want to laugh But I really wonder what's their plan? I just hope they act wisely.

In my opinion, while some schools have tried, I still feel others (their international recruitment/immigration team) are not doing enough by way of intervention to expedite their students' visa process (from my own experience).

Really pray it ends well for everyone.

They are not there to fight or protest at all dear. Just to make them understand our plight.

Hi guys, some Nigerian students who are awaiting visa decisions and are on the verge of losing their admissions are currently in abuja. Please if you are in Abuja, try to join them in being adamant that they speed up things. Maybe it's really help.
