EducationRe: How To Cope With Stress In The University by wins18(m):
pls conductor wake me, when we reach frontpage, by the way op, this is how it should be.
*
*
Every student at one point of their
education will experience stress in
the university. Getting up in the
morning can be difficult knowing
the day is going to be stressful.

Tom (not real name), in his days in college was like a battle. He said

"My happiest moments were
weekends. On Sunday nights,
tension begin to set in."

Just like
tom, many other students do have
similar issue. This is because of stress at school.
There are reasons why student
experience stress in the university.
Let us examine some of the
potential causes of school stress.

Stress induced by teachers :It is the desire of every good
teacher that every of his student
do well in his subject. Hence they
give assignments upon
assignments, this makes the
student to be occupied with academy work. Also, students want
to gain the approval of their
lecturers so they go beyond all
odds just to have good grades.
Sleepless nights studying is very
common among the university students. Lack of sleep increases
stress.

Stress induced by peer:
Been in the university, you have
your freedom. Parental restrictions
are limited, so many students live their lives carefree. Sex, dating and
party is often the result of this
independence. For many students
who are from good homes, the
pressure to join other students in
these acts is extremely high. No one want to be seen as the odd
one. Christine (not real name) said
"I have so much stress from been
pressured to date and engage in
sex. Everyone was doing it and no
one want to be ridicule."

Stress induced by expenses:
As a student you need to meet up
to certain financial obligations. The
cost of education is rapidly
increasing and as such some
students had to work to pay for accommodation, textbooks,
feeding and many more. Trying to
achieve all of this can increase the
stress at school.

How to Reduce Stress at School

Undoubtedly, you cant escape school stress but you can manage
it. Consider the following steps
Identify the causal factor
Without identifying the cause of a
problem, there can hardly be a
solution. So too without identifying the specific causes of your stress at
school, you may never be able to
cope.

Never Procrastinate

So common among students -
procrastination. They leave so many things unattended to.
Whatever problem you leave
today awaits you tomorrow along
with other ones. So why not deal
with it today and reduce the stress
in tomorrow.

Don't stock pile assignments

, it will only increase
your stress. Always begin reading
on time, do not wait when
examination is near.

Do not try to
become a perfectionist

, it will
increase your stress. Lastly,

never try to follow the crowd.

WHAT IS THIS LIFE?
A man is born today, Tomorrow he is dead.
A man lives in a mansion today, Tomorrow he lives underground.
A man drives a car today, Tomorrow an ambulance drives him.
A man reads biology today, Tomorrow a biography is been read of him.
A man eats whatever he wants today, Tomorrow he becomes food for insects.
A man is always early for work today, Tomorrow he is termed late Mr/Mrs.
A man is seen resting in his house today, Tomorrow he is resting in d grave. And they say "Rest In Peace"!
A man eats all kinds of fruits in his house today, Tomorrow he becomes manure to those trees.
A man is known today as the richest man ever, Tomorrow he doesn't even know where or what will happen to his riches.
What is life after all?
ACT RIGHT AND LIVE GODLY. ALWAYS BE A HELPING HAND TO OTHERS............
MY 10 FINGERS WILL ALWAYS BE A TOOL OF CONSTRUCTION NOT DISTRUCTION.....

Mr James and his friend Mr Oko were arguing about their sons stupidity. Mr James argued that his son was more silly than Oko’s son. Oko however, disagreed, so they decided to put their sons to test. James called his son and asked him to buy something for him at the market. The boy ran out without even asking for what to buy and money. James said, ”You see how silly he is? He didn’t even ask for what to buy or money“. Mr Oko retorted : "is this what you call foolishness? just wait and see", Oko calls his son and said “go home and check if i am in the house” Oko’s son took to his heels and came back panting, ”papa U no dey house. Mama say U dey your friend's place". Which one FOOL pass? Stay healthy, keep the laughter and smiles alive... Despite the price of tomato & fuel, lafta is still free. So I go laff jare..

At the point of death a man, Tom Smith, called his children and after praying for them, he advised them to follow his footsteps so that they can have peace of mind in all that they do.

The youngest child, Immaculate, a female, looked at others and yelled,
"Daddy, its unfortunate you are dying without a penny in your bank account. Personally, I can't emulate you. Other father's that you tag as being corrupt,
thieves of public funds left houses and properties for their children; even this house we live in is a rented apartment, sorry, i can't emulate you, just go, let's chart our own course,
let's paddle our own canoe."
Few moments later, their father gave up the spirit.

Three years later, Immaculate went for an interview in a multinational company. The interview panel had already penciled down a candidate for the highly coveted post but wanted to complete the formality of interviewing all applicants on the list.

As soon as Immaculate sat before the interview panel, the Chairman of the committee asked,
"Which Smith is yours" and
Immaculate replied,
"I am Immaculate Smith. My Dad Tom Smith is now late he died a poor man..."

But the Chairman cuts in,
"O my God, you are Tom Smith's daughter? "
He turned to other members and said
"This Smith man was the one that signed my membership form
into the Institute of Chartered Administrators and his recommendation earned me where I am today.
He did all these free. I didn't even know his address, he never knew me from Adam. He just did it for me."

He turned to Immaculate, I have no question for you, consider yourself as having gotten this job, resume tomorrow, your letter will be waiting for you.

Immaculate Smith became the Corporate Affairs Manager of the company with two cars, one official and one for private use,
attached to the office, with a duplex and two drivers and a salary of £100,000 per month excluding allowances and other costs when she travelled outside England.

After two years of working in the company, the Group Managing Director of the company came from America to announce his intention to resign and needed a replacement. A personality with high integrity was sought after,
again the company's Consultant nominated Immaculate Smith.

In an interview, she was asked the secret of her success and the sudden sky rocketing profile and in tears, she replied,
"my Daddy paved these ways for me. It was after he died that I knew that he was financially poor but stingkingly rich in
integrity, discipline and honesty."

She was asked again, why she is weeping since she is no longer
a kid as to miss her dad still after a long time.
She replied,
"At the point of death, I insulted my dad for being an honest man
of integrity. I hope he will forgive me in his grave now.
I didn't work for all these, he did it for me to just walk in.

So finally she was asked,
" Will you follow your father's foot steps as he requested?
And her simple answer was,
"l now adore the man, I have a big picture of him in my living room and at the entrance of my house. He deserves whatever I have after God."

Are you like Tom Smith?
It pays to build a name, the reward doesn't come quickly but it will come however long it may take and it lasts longer.

Integrity, discipline, self control and fear of God makes a
man wealthy, not the fat bank account.
Leave a good heritage for your children.
Are you building a good name for your children & not a fat bank account?

As I was about to leave the bank premises, one of the security man recognised me. And said yes he can remember vivdly that I took permission from him, that was how he allowed me into the bank. I didn't waste time in calling my sis, narrating the whole ordeal to her, immediately she sent 10000 naira into my account, then I added the 3000 I withdrew earlier to it. Deposited it into the account and took the teller and other documents out of the bank.
I called an okada man and told him To take me to Frsc office, paid him 100naira, and we went. When we reached their office, I saw one of their female official, I went straight to her, greeted her and she responded.
'are you the owner of that bike over there'
'yes ma'm, I have done what I was ordered to do.... here are the receipts'
She took it, examined it closely and looked at me and the okada man, lol, for my mind, case don end be that oo.
'where is ur helmet, you know you can't take this bike home without ur helmet, so go back home and get ur helmet b4 u take this bike with u'. and I was like, oh God warris dis ehn, which kind wahala be this na?

I have to take another bike, back to the bank to go and pay into FRCN account, when I entered the bank with the paper they gave to me. I joined the queue and waited for my turn.
When it reached my turn, I gave them the papers and the banker told me its incomplete yet, that I should go to the cybercafe and do pin printout. Phew!!! What a stress,
I have to take permission from one of the security men in order for them to allow me in if I'm late, b4 bank closure.
I set out to locate any cyber cafe, at the end I saw one, had to wait for my turn. Later did the printout successfully with some charges.
I took the whole document immediately to the bank, but when I reached, the bank has closed already for the day, I hurriedly walk to the security man incharge and he started telling me to go, that nobody is entering the bank again.
